De bating Club Meeting Held Tl J Ma 16 l U r 8 ( ay' Y Thursday night, May J(,, the Debating Club or Worcester Tech will hold il5 first meeting of this year in the Janet Earle Room at eight o'cl<ICk . The meeting will be an organization meeting1 so thut the club will be in working order for the coming debating season. AI Glaur, the president of the dub, also announced that Lhe plans and sch edules for this year will be discussed. All the old members and any new men that are interested in debating ore invited. Refreshments will be served after the meeting. Last March, the Debating Team had its first match With tbe State Teachers College team. The subject discussed was International Trade Relations and both sides presented their arguments very well ; however, the State Teachers tended to slip away from the issue and the decision favored the Tech men by a vote of 2 to I. This debate was a return mAtch; the State T eachers seekin~t revenge for a previous defeat. During the war the Debating Club declined in its activities and its mem· bership had dwindled, but with the return of the peacetJme schedule there are renewed hopes or having a better team, since the students at Tech wiU bave a litt1e more tj~ from their studies.
