CHRISTMAS COLLECTION HOW TO WRAP

The Perfect Gift

Transform your customers purchase into a beautifully wrapped gift. Great wrapping is an art, and a few simple steps will have you wrapping like a professional in no time.

1. What you will need: • Gift wrap • Belli-Band™ • Scissors • Clear gift seals • Double sided tape • Ribbon

2. Measure the length of the paper. Lay the gift on the wrapping paper and roll across the paper three times and then add 50mm overlap. Using sharp scissors, cut the paper.

Tip: Always wrap on a clean dry even surface with clean hands.

3. Measure the width of the paper. Allow for 2/3 the depth of the gift on each side. Too much length or width means it will be hard to wrap, wastes paper and you will not achieve a neat professional finish.

5. Fold over the remaining edge by 20mm. Never leave cut paper edges visible, always fold them over.

6. Bring the folded edge to the centre. Secure underneath with double sided tape or use a clear gift seal.

7. Now for the ends of the present. Fold the top flap down, ensuring that you crease the paper neatly into each corner. Crease the top edge.

9. Crease and fold up the bottom flap. Fold over the raw top edge for a clean finish. Secure with double sided tape or a clear gift seal. Crease all edges again for a clean sharp finish.

10. Now comes the fun bit! Decorate with a Belli-Band® and tie on a beautiful ribbon. Voila! A perfectly wrapped gift.

Tip: Keep the paper held firmly against the gift. Crease the edges neatly as you wrap. Loose paper makes a sloppy wrap.

4. Now you are ready to wrap. Place the gift in the middle of the paper. Pattern side down. Bring the right hand side of the paper to the centre.

Tip: Secure the paper with a tiny bit of tape to keep it in position.

8. Firmly crease and fold each of the side flaps inwards to the centre. Crease the bottom edge on both sides.

The Perfect Bow

A expertly tied bow is the perfect finish to your gift wrapping. These simple steps will have you tying beautiful bows in no time.

1. What you will need: • A wrapped gift • Ribbon • Scissors

2. The most common mistake made when tying a bow is to have the cross over knot on the base of the gift. To avoid this from happening always start on top of the gift. Allow plenty of length for the bow. Do not cut the ribbon from the spool yet.

3. Pass the end of the ribbon that is still connected to the spool, under the gift and back up to the top. Hold the ribbon firmly.

4. Cross over the two pieces of ribbon in the centre of the gift.

5. Pass the long end that is still attached to the spool, under the gift and then back up to the top of the gift. Cut this end of the ribbon so that it is the same length as the loose other end of the ribbon.

6. Bring the long end of the ribbon up to the centre of the gift, pass under the centre point and bring the end of the ribbon down towards the bottom left of the gift.

7. Make a loop of ribbon, whilst holding the other end of the ribbon firmly.

8. Bring the right hand side loose end behind the loop and then over the top of the loop.

9. Now form the second loop, and pass it under the centre of the first loop. Gently pull both loops to secure the bow. Adjust and fluff up your bow until its perfect.

10. Voila! A perfect bow. Tip: Always keep one pair of scissors for paper cutting and one pair exclusively for ribbon. Paper blunts scissors quickly.
