Ms. Garrity woke up to find the sun streaming in through her window. Odd, since it had been storming for 3 days straight. Her alarm wasn’t ringing, it was already 9.30 am; she was late for work! She rushed out of bed, failing to notice the black, swirling hole on the floor. Ms. Garrity fell right through it. She tumbled, and tumbled. THWACK. She landed hard on some pale, rocky mass. “The Moon?” She wondered, but she failed to see anything other than the grey rock beneath. “Finally.” A loud voice boomed. “Finall “Who are you?” Ms. Garrity asked, confused. It laughed. Then, without warning, it produced a large fireball from its palm. The light lit up the huge beast towering over Ms. Garrity. It threw the fireball toward her, but Ms. Garrity scuttled away just in time! The creature produced another ball, this time, it was ice. It launched it in her direction, she rolled, and missed it again. “What am I going to do?” Ms. Garrity’s voice shook as she looked around for help. The creature created another ball, this time it was electric. He threw it straight at her. Ms. Garrity scrambled to her feet to out run the electroball. She tripped on a protruding piece of rock, and fell back down. “This is not good at all!” Ms. Garrity clenched her hands against the grey rock beneath her and… it broke away with ease. A idea sprang to her mind. She pulled at a larger portion of rock, and, as it crumbled from the earth, she began to use it as a shield. “You can’t stop me. I will destroy the earth!” She frowned, “So you’re the one who has caused those wildfires!” The creature created a flaming red fireball in his palm. She batted it away with the make-shift shield. “And the freezing temperatures!” It conjured a pale blue orb of ice this time, and hurled it in her direction. Ms. Garrity hit it back. The Elementor smirked and caught the ice ball in his fist. He used the other to make an electroball, a sphere of pure white with yellow wisps dancing all around it. “And the thunderstorms!” The Elementor threw the electroball straight at Ms. Garrity, but she managed to fight it off, aiming her shield straight at the hand Garrit clutching the ice ball. “You know what doesn’t work well together?” The electroball hit the melting iceball. ZAP. In a flash of yellow and white, Ms. Garrity went flying high in the air. Turning and tumbling until… she stopped. Ms. Garrity opened her eyes to see where she was. “Kingsley…” She frowned as she stood in front of the school. Checking her watch, she noted the time… “8:30am?” Right on time. Ms. Garrity headed inside of the school, the memory playing in her mind as she went to tell it to her Year 4 class.
