The majority of our generation was born with a phone in our hand. We all have easy access to abundant universal knowledge with a single touch. Being exposed to a lot of media at a young age has shaped who we are, particularly in our preferences of style, music, and more. The theme, Maximalism, is meant to highlight the excess of artistic styles within media and also represents Suburbia’s attitude to "go all out” to bring this magazine to life. For this issue, we spent time immersing ourselves in this world of excess by pushing our boundaries, exploring new styles, and learning about each other Creating this issue was no easy feat, especially after only having digital issues for the past two years. Our remarkable collaboration as a club makes me so grateful to have been able to lead such a stunning group of talented and diligent individuals. To all our members, thank you for being with me on this journey and helping me discover how to be a leader. I would also like to thank our officer board: Social Media Manager Lauren Alvarez, Secretary Jaena Danaram, Treasurer Reya Mehta, and Vice President Ava Hernandez for help make this idea of a magazine become a reality. Many thanks to our beautiful Advisor, Ms. Heather Frame, for supporting our ideas and giving us new opportunities. And finally, thank you to the artists, musicians, writers, photographers, designers, and fashionistas who submitted their work to our club. Without your creativity, this magazine would have never been possible. Suburbia will continue to thrive in Room 206 and feature the talent of all West Ranch creatives. Our club had so much fun creating this issue, and we hope you can see all the love and effort we put into making the upcoming pages. Without further ado, I present to you Volume 8: Maximalism!

Lots of Love,

Suburbia Officers
