We parted more than two months ago in Vallelunga, the last round of the Italian F4 Championship certified by FIA held before the long summer break. 43 drivers have so far taken part in at least one weekend of races, representing 25 different countries: a sign of the extreme popularity that the championship, with the synergy of ACI Sport and WSK Promotion, has managed to achieve at international among the preparatory classes, as well as among the very young coming from karting. Now, finally, it is time to resume the march of the exciting 2022 season with the intense final rush, consisting in three rounds to be disputed in the next two months: Spielberg, Monza and Mugello are unique circuits, capable of leaving an indelible mark in the history of Formula 1, and the future champion will be crowned on one of these circuits. But the fight for the title is tremendously close as Andrea Kimi Antonelli, thanks to a streak of six consecutive victories, managed to take the lead in the final round. Certainly, however, Rafael Camara, Alexander Dunne, James Wharton and all the other protagonists on the starting grid will respond to the Italian trying to take the leadership from him. We, on the other hand, will be ready in the front row to enjoy this battle. Get ready for a show, that will certainly be… Stellar!
Stellare!

3 REPORT - RD.4 / RACE 1 - VALLELUNGA
The Vallelunga weekend of the Italian F4 Championship certified by FIA started in the best possible way for Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Prema Racing): he was already the fastest in the qualifying. The Italian did not even make a mistake when the traffic lights in race 1 went out, holding onto the lead of the race. It was worse for Charlie Wurz (Prema Racing) who, from the second starting position, had a lacklustre start. So Rafael Camara (Prema Racing) went into second place in front of his Austrian teammate, although he was unable to keep up with the leader Antonelli. The intervention of the safety car due to a vehicle stopped in the gravel, 11 minutes from the end, compacted the group again, but Antonelli managed the restart well and won the race with a 2,184 second advantage over Camara, who came second. This is a result that allows the Italian to take the lead in the championship rankings, precisely to the detriment of the Brazilian. James Wharton (Prema Racing) climbed to the lowest step of the podium, ahead of Alex Dunne (US Racing), who came fourth, and Taylor Barnard (PHM Racing), who came fifth.

Another victory for Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Prema Racing) in the second race of the weekend of the Italian F4 Championship certified by FIA. Once again in pole position, the Italian driver defended his leadership on the first bends from the attacks of Kacper Sztuka (US Racing) and then distanced himself from the rest of the group. It was therefore up to Rafael Camara (Prema Racing) to duel with Sztuka for second place but a contact between the two caused a puncture in the right rear tyre of the Brazilian’s vehicle, who was forced to withdraw. Sztuka, on the other hand, lost several positions to the advantage of Charlie Wurz (Prema Racing), Taylor Barnard (PHM Racing) and Alexander Dunne (US Racing). Antonelli nimbly finished the race in first position, while Barnard took second place with a decisive overtaking of Wurz, who came third. Dunne beat Sztuka and finished fourth, followed by his Polish teammate, who came fifth.
Sztuka, invece, perde diverse posizioni a vantaggio di Charlie Wurz (Prema Racing), Taylor Barnard (PHM Racing) e Alexander Dunne (US Racing).

Taylor Barnard (PHM Racing) finished the heat in fifth position, ahead of Kacper Sztuka (US Racing), who came sixth, and Nikhil Bohra (US Racing), who came seventh.
Taylor Barnard (PHM Racing) chiude la manche in quinta posizione, precedendo Kacper Sztuka (US Racing), sesto, e Nikhil Bohra (US Racing), settimo.
Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Prema Racing) was also relentless in race 3. For the third time in pole position on the same weekend, the Italian driver easily maintained the lead at the start, with his teammates Rafael Camara (Prema Racing) and Charlie Wurz (Prema Racing) in the role of first pursuers. Only Camara tried to approach Antonelli in the second half of the race, but the leader kept the Brazilian at a distance and thus achieved his hat-trick. Wurz, on the other hand, looked over his shoulder where there were Marcus Amand (US Racing) and Alexander Dunne (US Racing), but the two had a contact and finished the race prematurely. It was James Wharton (Prema Racing) who took advantage of this, fourth at the finish line behind Wurz, who came third: for Prema Racing this is the fourth poker of the season.

Nestled in the Austrian mountains, the Spielberg track (originally called Österreichring) was built in 1969 and has hosted all editions of the Austrian Grand Prix from 1970 onwards. The circuit was completely renovated during the nineties and the track design was modified with the layout we know today, hosting Formula 1 between 1997 and 2003. After a decade of inactivity, Red Bull, the energy drinks giant, took over the property, having new adaptation works completed, returning F1 to a permanent basis from 2014, but also hosting the World and other international championships.

A fifth of the current line-up of drivers taking part in the F1 World Championship, after the first years of kart racing, made the leap into the world of single-seaters thanks to the Italian F4 Championship certified by FIA. After having talked about Lance Stroll, Guanyu Zhou and Lando Norris in the past editions, let’s go into more detail in this adventure, in the championship promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion, of Mick Schumacher, the current official driver of Haas. Born on 22 March 1999 in Vufflens-le-Château (Switzerland), Mick Schumacher grew up in the world of motorsport thanks to his father Michael Schumacher, one of the most successful drivers in the history of Formula 1 with his seven world titles obtained with the Benetton and Ferrari team. However, Mick made his debut in karting in 2008 using his mother’s surname “Betsch”, and in 2011 he started in KF3 (the current OKJ). In 2013 he participated in the WSK Super Master Series and the WSK Euro Series, as well as finishing third in the International Super Cup. In his last season in karting, in 2014, he also became European and world vicechampion. 2016 / Rd.1 - 2016 /Mick - 2016

Schumacher’s single-seater debut goes back to 2016, the year in which he competed for a full season in the Italian F4 Championship certified by FIA in a Prema Powerteam single-seater. In the first round in Misano, the German achieved two victories out of two qualifying heats and, from pole position, he finished fourth in the final race. Absent in the second round in Adria, Schumacher decided to concentrate on the subsequent third stage in Imola, where he achieved a victory, a second and a fourth place in the three scheduled races. Between Mugello and Vallelunga he achieved one win and three podium finishes, but in the penultimate round in Imola he stumbled into three “zeros”: in race 1 he remedied a drive-through for an early start, while in race 2 he withdrew due to a contact; finally, in race 3 he was forced to start from the back of the grid. In the last match point in Monza, he achieved a victory and a second place, awarding him the title of vice-champion.

In the first four rounds of the Italian F4 Championship certified by FIA, eight drivers had the opportunity to get on the podium for the first time. Rafael Camara (Prema Racing) and Alex Dunne (US Racing), both rookies in the Italian series, are temporarily in second and third place in the general rankings and have already achieved their first victories (two for the Brazilian, one for the Irishman). Kacper Sztuka (US Racing), already on the grid last year, also achieved a success this season. James Wharton (Prema Racing) and Charlie Wurz (Prema Racing) have had the opportunity to get on the podium several times, while Marcus Amand (US Racing), Taylor Barnard (PHM Racing) and Conrad Laursen (Prema Racing) have only succeeded once.
Assenti, invece, i team Prema Racing e PHM Racing.
