EDITORIAL E alla fine siamo arrivati all’ultimo round... In pista e fuori.

And so it is, here we are at the final round... The incredible rush of the F4 Italian Championship Powered by Abarth is about to reach the ultimate finish line of 2015 here in Misano. This prestigious circuit, which has written endless pages of motorsport history, is the perfect stage for the closing act of this thrilling and hardfought championship. Exactly 5 months ago in Vallelunga, we were getting ready to witness the first “start” of the year. Today, we are here to celebrate the talent who has proven to be strongest and also all the other stars of the season who have offered us a top level show round after round, on and off track, with their incredible enthusiasm and racing skills. There is always so much to say in moments like this, so many people whose merit we’d like to acknowledge, so many great episodes to recall before consigning them forever to memory. However, since we can’t possibly mention them all, let us at least sum up every thought and feeling we wish to share through two simple, but powerful words: thank you! Now let’s sit back and enjoy the show of this final season event!

ARON WITHOUT RIVALS
Italian F4 Championship powered by Abarth
Ralf Aron (Prema Powerteam) continues his seemingly unstoppable rush towards the 2015 title as soon as Race 1, where he has no rivals. Starting from pole position, after a few laps, the Estonian creates quite a gap from his teammate Guan Yu Zhou and from Robert Shwartzman (Mücke Motorsport), respectively second and third in the title hunt. The rest of the race continues with Aron flying “solo” up front, while his two followers pull away from the group in a heated duel. The Chinese defends himself well from repeated attacks until the end, then loses speed and succumbs to his Russian rival. Aron is first on the finish line with over five seconds of advantage from Shwartzman, with Zhou immediately behind in third place. The top five is completed by Mücke Motorsport teammates David Beckmann, a bit below his usual standards, and Lando Norris. They are followed by another team couple, RB Racing’s Diego Bertonelli and Ye Yifei, both authors of a good race and respectively sixth and seventh at the checkered flag. In the battle for the Woman Trophy between the Pankiewicz twins (RB Racing), Wiktoria is absent and Julia fails to finish Race 1 due to contacts.

KANAYET WINS OVER TWO LAPS
6
With the inversion of the first ten positions on grid compared to the closing order of Race 1, Kevin Kanayet (Malta Formula Racing) gets to start from pole position, flanked by Giuliano Raucci (Prema Powerteam). The Columbian driver manages to retain the lead at the start, while the Italian suffers engine problems and has to withdraw. It is thus Alex Peroni (Torino Squadra Corse), third on grid, who takes the role of runner-up. The race is then strongly influenced by an accident involving Joao Vieira (Antonelli Motorsport), who flies off track at high speed. Fortunately, he walks away without injuries, but the safety car joins the track and sets the pace until the penultimate lap, freezing positions. The final lap is simply thrilling, as Kanayet comes under attack from Peroni, doing a great job of defending his leadership until the finish line. Third up behind them at the flag there is Diego Bertonelli (RB Racing), fast in his progress from fifth on grid. Championship leader Ralf Aron (Prema Powerteam) is fourth, on the rebound from tenth at the start, followed by teammate Guan Yu Zhou. Julia Pankiewicz (RB Racing) is sixteenth and this time conquers important points for the Woman Trophy.

ARON WINS RACE AND CHAMPIONSHIP
10
Ralf Aron (Prema Powerteam) knew he could win the 2015 title, if he just managed to beat his teammate and number one rival Guan Yu Zhou. Said, done - one round before the final act of the season! Fast all weekend long, in the third race of the Imola weekend, Aron starts from pole position and leads until the finish-line. Besides taking another track win, the Estonian ace this time proves to be without rivals in the absolute sense, securing the 2015 victory of the Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth at the penultimate round. Behind him, the battle for the other top positions rages until the end. At the finish-line, the great star of the season is followed by the Mücke Motorsport trio of Robert Shwartzman, David Beckmann and Lando Norris, the latter author of a great recovery from eighth on grid. The new champion’s teammate, Zhou, is only fifth at the end, but remains runner-up in the point standings. Nineteenth at the checkered flag, Julia Pankiewicz (RB Racing) closes with a nice advantage in the hunt for the Woman Trophy over her sister Wiktoria, absent from track all weekend.

Ralf Aron (Prema Powerteam) is entering the final act of the season in Misano already crowned as the 2015 Champion. The Estonian, who last year inaugurated his move from karts to cars with a 1st place finish in the F.4 Adria Winter Trophy, this year secured the victory of the 2015 Italian F.4 Championship Powered by Abarth one round in advance, precisely in Imola. Behind him, the top positions in the title hunt remain unvaried; but if his Prema teammate Guan Yu Zhou still has a nice gap from David Beckmann, the latter is now just 7 point ahead of fellow Mücke Motorsport driver Robert Shwartzman. Behind them, Marcos Siebert (Jenzer Motorsport) and Joao Viera (Antonelli Motorsport) have traded places and are no longer on an even standing: there is a 6 point gap between them. The other great surprise of the Imola weekend, however, was British rookie Lando Norris (also with Mücke Motorsport), who leaped from the low end of the standings to 8th best overall, behind Bar Baruch (Israel F4), who is still 7th. In short, the quest to complete the championship podium will remain an open game until the end.
