After race 2 in Castelletto di Branduzzo, the decisive round of the Final Cup will take place on 25 November at Adria: a grand finale for a WSK Promotion season that has, without a doubt, been positive, fun and hard-fought. Once the “business” side is over (the organisation of all the events related to karting), the “pleasure” that we allow ourselves... is more of the same: that is, our beloved motorsport. Indeed, our minds, as well as the organisational machine, are already focused on next season, with some news that makes us particularly happy: the return of the Euro Series, which was last held in 2013. We wanted reinstate it on the calendar in 2019 because we believe that, as already said in the past, maturing as drivers also means facing different environments and contexts: the Italian ones in Sarno and Lonato, for example; as well as the Spanish one in Zuera and the German one in Wackersdorf. Those are the 4 rounds of the 2019 Euro Series by WSK Promotion.

Dopo gara 2 a Castelletto di Branduzzo, la Final Cup vivrà la sua tappa decisiva il 25 novembre ad Adria: un gran finale per una stagione WSK Promotion che, senza dubbio, è stato positiva, divertente e combattuta. Ma, finito il “dovere” (l’organizzazione di ogni evento legato al karting), il “piacere” che ci concediamo... va nella stessa direzione: ovvero verso il nostro amato motorsport. La testa, infatti, così come la macchina organizzativa, è già proiettata verso la prossima stagione, con una novità che ci fa particolarmente piacere: il ritorno della Euro Series, la cui ultima edizione si è corsa nel 2013. Per il 2019, abbiamo voluto reinserirla in calendario convinti che, come già detto in passato, crescere come piloti voglia dire anche confrontarsi con ambienti e contesti diversi: quello italiano di Sarno e Lonato, per esempio; così come quello spagnolo di Zuera e quello tedesco di Wackersdorf. Ovvero le 4 tappe della Euro Series 2019 by WSK Promotion.

In the shifter class, the name that was able to stand out from the others was that of Bas Lammers (Sodikart / TM Racing). The Dutchman was very fast in the heats, winning them all. The same applied in the Pre-final and then continued into the Final. It was Lammers’ most difficult task: on the final laps, Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart / Vortex) was right behind him, trying to wrest victory from his grasp. However, Lammers also showed excellent defensive skills, closing every space and crossing the finish line first. Puhakka finished second, while Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart / Vortex), who tried to take advantage of the tussle just ahead of him, had to settle for the lowest step of the podium. The performance by Jean Luyet (CRG / TM Racing) is worth mentioning: the Swiss driver, who is not yet of age, not only climbed 17 places, finishing in seventh, but also posted the fastest lap in the Final with a time of 46.495 seconds.

Nella classe con il cambio, il nome in grado di distinguersi dagli altri è quello di Bas Lammers (Sodikart / TM Racing). L’olandese è velocissimo sin dalle manche, vincendole tutte. La serie utile continua in Prefinale, per poi perfezionarsi nella decisiva Finale. Qui, Lammers viene chiamato al compito più difficile: nei giri conclusivi, infatti, Simo Puhakka (Tony Kart / Vortex) lo tallona provando a strappargli il successo. Lammers, però, ha dalla sua anche ottime doti difensive, chiude ogni spazio e taglia il traguardo per primo. Puhakka chiude secondo, mentre Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart / Vortex), che quando vede la lotta ravvicinata della coppia di testa prova a indossare i panni del terzo incomodo, si deve accontentare del gradino più basso del podio. Da segnalare la prestazione di Jean Luyet (CRG / TM Racing): il pilota svizzero, non ancora maggiorenne, non solo rimonta 17 posizioni chiudendo settimo, ma timbra anche il best lap della finale con il tempo di 46.495 secondi.

There are weekends in which, despite the adversaries, a driver can appear unstoppable. That was the case with Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR / Parilla) in the first round of the WSK Final Cup, in which the Italian driver was unbeaten in the heats, won his Pre-final and then took a commanding lead in the race that matters most. A perfect performance that won him a thoroughly deserved victory. Travisanutto also, obviously, posted the fastest lap event (46.578). Kas Haverkort (CRG / TM Racing) tried to give the eventual winner something to worry about during the weekend, but with mixed results. The Dutch driver won Pre-final B, but was unable to go beyond second place in the final, finishing a creditable [ OK ] RANKING runner up. Behind him, in P. Name Points third, came Luigi Coluccio 1 Travisanutto Lorenzo 90 2 Haverkort Kas 63 (Birel Art / TM Racing), 3 Coluccio Luigi 46 who also managed to get 4 Bortoleto Gabriel 29 very close to second, 4 Patterson Dexter 29 at times. 6 Nielsen Nicklas 27 7

Ci sono week end nei quali, nonostante gli avversari, la marcia di un pilota appare inarrestabile. È così per Lorenzo Travisanutto (KR / Parilla) nella prima tappa della WSK Final Cup, nella quale il pilota italiano è imbattuto nelle manche, vince la sua prefinale e, poi, prende il largo anche nella gara che conta di più. Una prestazione perfetta in grado di fargli conquistare una più che meritata vittoria. Di Travisanutto, naturalmente, anche il best lap event (46.578). Chi prova, con risultati altalenanti nel corso del fine settimana, a impensierire il mattatore di giornata è Kas Haverkort (CRG / TM Racing). Il pilota olandese vince la Prefinale B, ma, in finale, oltre il secondo posto non può spingersi, conquistando una comunque più che onorevole piazza d’onore. Alle sue spalle, arrivando in diversi momenti anche molto vicino a chi lo precede, chiude Luigi Coluccio (Birel Art / TM Racing).

Taylor Barnard (KR / Parilla) finished in first place in OKJ, but had to fight in order to do so. Indeed, his performance in the heats were not great and it was only an extraordinary comeback in Pre-final A, culminating in winning the race, which allowed him to start in pole position in the Final. The British driver led throughout the race, bursting ahead of everyone and taking the checkered flag with a sizeable advantage over the chasing pack. Bernard also posted the fastest lap in a time of 47.827. Behind him a duel took place between compatriots: following an unexpected hitch that slowed him down in qualifying, Russian Nikita Bedrin (Tony Kart / Vortex) made his way through the field and finished runner up. The other Russian, Kirill Smal (Tony Kart / Vortex), challenged him for second place, but ended in third. Gabriele Minì (Parolin / TM Racing) is also worth a mention, with a potential podium finish, but was relegated to seventh following a 3-second penalty decided by the judges.

A contendergli la piazza d’onore è l’altro russo, Kirill Smal (Tony Kart / Vortex), che [ OKJ ] RANKING alla fine conclude P. Name Points terzo. Alex Powell (Energy / TM Racing) and Brando Badoer (Parolin / TM Racing) were the protagonists in the first rounds of the WSK Final Cup in the youngest drivers class: the former hails from a distant Caribbean island (he has a Jamaican passport), while the other’s surname is wellknown in motorsport (his father Luca took part in over 50 F.1 races, including some in a Ferrari). This odd couple fought it out during the debut weekend of the Final Cup as early as the qualifying heats. Having won their respective Pre-finals, Powell and Badoer started on the front row in the Final. At the start, Powell did well to take the lead and maintain first place, showing the right combination of clarity and speed. Badoer finished second, even though during the race he had to tussle with the young English driver Coskun Irfan (Parolin / TM Racing), who managed to get ahead of him before being overtaken again and finishing the race on the lowest step of the podium.

Al via, Powell è bravo a scattare in testa e a mantenersi in prima posizione mettendo in mostra il giusto mix di lucidità e velocità. With 2018 now coming to a close, the WSK Promotion organisational machine shows no sign of letting up and is already focused on next year. A year that promises to be particularly eventful, thanks to the return of the WSK Euro Series. This prestigious trophy was last held in 2013, the year in which a young Max Verstappen made his mark in KZ1. Today, with the Dutchman among the leading lights in Formula 1, the Europe-wide series returns to seek his heir, featuring 4 races on some of the most prestigious tracks of the Continent. The Euro Series is undoubtedly the biggest news for 2019, the icing on the cake of a season that confirms all the other WSK events: from the collective tests to the Champions Cup that kicks things off at the end of January, as is now traditional. Then, it will be the turn of the 4 rounds of the Super Master Series, the longest running WSK competition, while, towards the end of the season, there is confirmation of the Open Cup, scheduled on two events, and the Final Cup, which returns to a single race for the 2019 edition. 12 events in total, from January to November, for a year of great karting brought to you by WSK Promotion. Un anno che si annuncia particolarmente ricco, con il ritorno della WSK Euro Series. L’ultima stagione di questo prestigioso trofeo è datata 2013, anno nel quale in KZ1 poneva il suo sigillo un giovane Max Verstappen. In totale, 12 appuntamenti, da gennaio a novembre, per un anno di grande karting firmato WSK Promotion.

A welcome return to Castelletto di Branduzzo. One of the most popular WSK circuits, which nevertheless had not seen an event staged there since a Master Series round in March 2017. Gradito ritorno a Castelletto di Branduzzo. Uno dei circuiti più frequentati dalla WSK, ma da cui mancava dalla tappa della Master Series nel marzo del 2017.
