Khandallah Pool is here to stay and it appears to have a bright future. Wellington City Councillors voted overwhelmingly in favour of giving the 96-year-old outdoor pool an $8 million makeover, at their meeting

last week. Councillors voted 13 to 2 in favour of the plan, one of three put to them by council officers. The outcome means the pool will get its first major upgrade in almost 60 years. Continued on page 2.
