There’s a real charm throughout that makes it a delight to explore on foot, including the scenic banks of the Elbe River which forms waterways that wind their way amongst the many impressive buildings including numerous museums dedicated to the maritime history of the city. From the world-famous nightlife district of the Reeperbahn to the beauty of St Michael’s Church, with a spire that dominates the cityscape, and the pretty harbour that is best explored on a short cruise tour, there’s much to see.
BREMEN Sunday 14th December 2014 From Bremerhaven you can journey to Bremen, a city full of both historic and contemporary sights to explore. The World Heritage Site of the Cathedral of St Peter is one of the most fascinating places you can visit, home to intriguing stories and striking decorations. You can also see the attractive and impressive City Hall, dating back to the 15th century, and the quaint houses, shops and cafes of the Schnoor quarter. Tours of the Becks brewery are also available to enjoy, learning how this renowned pilsner is made and of course sampling a glass.
