What is The Dish ? The Dish is UW-Madison’s premier, student-run food and dining publication. Housed within the Wisconsin Union Directorate’s Publications Committee, The Dish aims share the latest news in food. The publication features seasonal recipes you can make at home, current menus and critiques of the city’s top dining destinations and updates on culinary trends and movements in the food scene. No Reservations strives to update our readers about the restaurant scene in Madison by covering new restaurant openings, interviewing owners/chefs and encouraging our readers to broaden their horizons and experience Madison’s unique culinary culture. In the Kitchen has historically focused on recipes—appetizers, entrees and desserts—for our readers to try at home. Whether writing about different kitchen gadgets, food features, kitchen disaster stories or food how-tos…if it happens in the kitchen, we will write about it. Food for Thought is all about seeing food from a different perspective. In the past, the Food for Thought writers have covered food documentaries, interviews with chefs and organizations such as the Slow Food Movement.
