Candidate Meeting Nominations

Attend the Candidates Meeting from 5:30-5:50 PM CST on Friday, March 11th. In this meeting, District Administrators Justin Hahn and Lena Scheibengraber will review all of the rules and regulations for running for District Board. Prepare any questions you have for this meeting. Don ’t be afraid to reach out before DCON 2022 to ask any other questions you have.
There are two opportunities for individuals to be nominated for a District Board Position. Opening Session (6-7 PM CST on Friday, March 11th) House of Delegates (EDIT) PM CST on Saturday, March 12th) In order to be nominated, you must be a dues-paid member in good standing of your home club. You must also have one duespaid CKI member nominate you (using a provided script) and a second dues-paid CKI member second the nomination (also using a provided script). After the nomination and second, you will be asked if you would like to accept the nomination. Say yes!

After all nominations are completed, you will have have a total of 3 minutes to speak. The first 2 minutes are open for whatever you so choose (campaign platform, why members should vote for you, etc.) and the last minute is to answer a random “fishbowl” question. This question will be determined by chance and will be related to determining the fit of candidacy.You will have a second opportunity to speak at the House of Delegates. This will also be 3 minutes of talk time, but the first minute is open to free speech and the final 2 minutes are for answering questions from the audience (an example list of questions will be given, but audience members are able to ask whatever they see fit, as appropriate).
