The Beyond Boundaries Program offers students who are curious intellectual explorers a unique opportunity to bring different interests into conversation with each other in order to approach the complex problems of tomorrow and solve them in an interdisciplinary way. As a part of the Beyond Boundaries Program community, students experience an interdisciplinary curriculum that engages WashU faculty from both undergraduate and graduate schools. Students explore their academic passions in Year One unaffiliated with any one undergraduate division, thus having the opportunity to defer that decision and explore across disciplines. Outside of the classroom, students have access to a rich array of extracurricular activities on and off campus through the program’s custom-designed mobile app.

The Beyond Boundaries Program seeks students who are talented, selfinitiated, and self-motivated, and who wish to pursue their own broad interdisciplinary interests through a unique educational experience that requires collaboration across academic disciplines and perspectives.
The Beyond Boundaries Program allows students to address challenges that do not reside in the territory of a single discipline.
