Lettermen Lost (1): Chris Chugunov (r-Jr.) Starts Returning: Grier (11) Starts Lost: Chugunov (2) • Grier (6-2, 215), the 2017 Big 12 Newcomer of the Year, is one of the top returning players in the nation … before he sustained a season-ending hand injury midway through the first quarter against Texas, he completed 250-of-388 passes for 3,490 yards and 34 touchdowns, one of the best season passing performances in WVU history … also ran for 122 yards and two touchdowns … finished with 300 or more yards in nine games and threw for multiple touchdowns in 10 games, including back-to-back five touchdown performances against Texas Tech and Baylor • Allison (6-6, 200) sat out in 2017 after transferring from Miami … redshirted as a freshman … selected to play in the Under Armour All-American game after his final season at Palmetto High in Florida … threw for more than 1,400 yards and 11 touchdowns • Lowe (6-2, 210) joined the team in January after leaving Bolivar High setting the career passing mark with 5,568 yards and 53 touchdowns, as well as rushing for 25 touchdowns
