• In its 26th season in program history, the Mountaineers finished 10-5-5 overall, along with 3-3-3 mark in Big 12 play • WVU extended its streak of at least 10 wins or more to 22 straight seasons. • The Mountaineers advanced to the semifinals of the Big 12 Championship for the seventh time since joining the conference in 2012 • West Virginia’s defense recorded 11 shutouts on the year, including a pair of clean sheets in the Big 12 Championship. WVU’s nine shutouts in the regular season marked the most since 2017 (11), while the squad’s 11 total clean sheets were the most since 2018 (12). • WVU was ranked as high as No. 9 throughout the season in the United Soccer Coaches

National Poll. • Senior defender Jordan Brewster was tabbed an All-America Third Team selection by

United Soccer Coaches, her second All-America honor in as many seasons. She is one of just 14 Mountaineers to earn a pair of All-America accolades in her career. • Brewster also was named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America First Team,

WVU’s first honoree since 2018. • For the 11th consecutive season, a Mountaineer was featured on the MAC Hermann

Trophy Watch List, as Brewster earned the honor. • Brewster also was named a candidate for the 2021 Women’s Soccer Senior CLASS

Award, the first honoree for WVU since 2018. • On the All-Big 12 Teams, Brewster led the way on the first team, while junior defender

Nicole Payne and junior goalkeeper Kayza Massey landed on the second team.

Freshman forward Dilary Heredia-Beltran was honored on the Big 12 All-Freshman

Team. • Brewster, Payne and Heredia-Beltran were named to the United Soccer Coaches All-

Midwest Region Team, with Brewster named to the first team, Payne to the second team and Heredia-Beltran to the third team. • Academically, Brewster, junior defender Julianne Vallerand and sophomore midfielder

Lilly McCarthy were named Academic All-District selections by CoSIDA. Additionally, a program-best 15 student-athletes reached the Academic All-Big 12 Soccer Teams.

Its total points at the Big 12 Championship marked the most earned by the squad since 2016 • Four Mountaineer grapplers qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the second consecutive year and third year in which four or more wrestlers have qualified during coach Tim Flynn’s tenure. Redshirt senior Killian Cardinale (125), and sophomores

Peyton Hall (165) and Dennis Robin (174) each earned automatic bids based on their performances at the conference championship, while redshirt sophomore Michael

Wolfgram (HWT) received an at-large selection to punch his ticket; both Robin and

Wolfgram made their NCAA tournament debuts • Hall earned All-America honors to highlight the Mountaineers’ run at this year’s tournament by defeating No. 19-seed Justin McCoy of Virginia to clinch his spot on the podium, before falling in the seventh-place match to No. 7-seed Carson Kharchla of

Ohio State for eighth. The last Mountaineer grappler to finish eighth was Zeke Moisey at 125 pounds in 2018. • Hall became the first Mountaineer at 165 pounds, third in the Flynn era and sixth from the state of West Virginia, to garner All-America accolades • Like Hall, Cardinale advanced to the quarterfinals in his bracket at 125 pounds and ended up going 2-2 at the three-day tournament, just one win shy of earning All-

America status for the second consecutive year • Cardinale claimed the third Big 12 Championship in program history as the first

Mountaineer to do it at 125 pounds • Overall, seven WVU wrestlers finished on the podium at the Big 12 Championship to match a program-best set by the 2016 team, including two finalists: Cardinale (champion) and Hall (runner-up) • The Mountaineers placed seventh at the 2022 Southern Scuffle, billed as the top in-season collegiate wrestling tournament in the country. Cardinale and Hall scored runner-up finishes and two other grapplers placed eighth at the event • WVU opened the season with a second-place finish (153.5 points) at the Clarion Open, while Hall won the 165-pound crown and eight others joined him in the top six of their respective weight classes • Nine Mountaineers earned a spot on the 2022 Academic All-Big 12 Wrestling Teams to break the program record of eight set in 2021. All but two of the honorees landed on the Academic All-Big 12 First Team, which also is a program best
