REFLECTIONS
Asthe leaves begin to change and we welcome the crisp air of fall, we are filled with gratitude and excitement as we reflect on the remarkable events that took place in May and June – the grand openings of the new Westfield Washington Township office and the Westfield Washington Public Library under one roof. The opening of our new Township and Library building was a significant milestone for our community.
The new Township office represents our commitment to better serve our residents, offering a welcoming space for assistance, support, and connection. We were deeply moved by the enthusiasm and support from everyone who joined us to celebrate this new beginning.
Similarly, the new Library has become a beacon of learning, creativity, and exploration. It was heartening to see everyone exploring the new spaces, engaging in activities, and sharing in the excitement.
The success of these grand openings is a reflection of our incredible community and the collaborative efforts of many. We want to again extend our deepest gratitude to the WWT Board and the WWPL Board for their unwavering support. We also want to thank krM Architecture, Meyer Najem Construction, GM Development Companies LLC, The Verdius Group, and Zentz Consulting for their exceptional work and dedication to this project. Additionally, a special thank you goes to Danielle Carey Tolan and Sheryl Sollars for their original vision that set the foundation for this incredible collaboration.
As we move forward, we remain dedicated to our mission of serving and enriching our community. We look forward to hosting many more events and programs that will continue to bring us all together.

Kristy White
WWT Education Director
Known as 'Mrs. White' to many in the community, Kristy has been the cornerstone of Westfield Washington Township's educational programs, which started with only a pack of glitter markers and crayons, for the past 17 years. She has impacted the lives of countless preschool and elementary aged children since her establishment of Township programming.
Her creativity and dedication have led to the development of engaging preschool programming, inspiring many of her former students to return as Junior Camp Counselors and Summer Interns. In her role as Education Director, Kristy manages preschool programming, coordinates Storywalks at MacGregor Park, develops and runs our sold out summer camps, and plans educational field trips with Westfield Schools. She continually enriches the community's educational experiences!

STEEL DRUM CLASS WITH DAWN BATSON
Dr. Dawn Batson is an educator, a performer and an artist. She has been teaching the steel band (aka steel drum) in the US for over forty years. Participants will learn the history of the steel drum and the basics of playing in an interactive presentation.

Staff Spotlight on .... Nancy Haggard
WWPL Assistant Director of Public Services
If you’ve spent any time at Westfield Washington Public Library, you’ve probably seen Nancy’s smiling face, leading programs and assisting patrons in multiple ways and in all departments. Nancy started at WWPL in 2014 as an Adult Reference Librarian and later worked as the manager of our Children’s Department. Nancy currently oversees our Children’s, Teen, and Adult staff. As the Assistant Director of Public Services, she is continually working behind the scenes to bring engaging programs to WWPL and find innovative ways to serve our community’s needs. She is also a hands-on helper to patrons of all ages when they visit the library. She brings endless energy and creativity to WWPL!
