For your safety many of our bikes have automatic lighting and a quality lock with a theft-prevention chip. All frames and components are comprehensively tested in our test lab. Minimal maintenance, maximum comfort The fully enclosed lightweight Flowline chain case on the Orange and Chamonix models is not only pleasing to the eye, but its automatic chain tensioner means it also requires very little maintenance. Not available on bicycles with coaster brakes.

Handy, safe and smart The Cleanbar, in which the cables are concealed, in addition to making our Xtra and Excellent Innergy models look smarter, makes them much more practical in use too. This arrangement reduces the likelihood of getting the cables caught on something when parking your bike.

Choose your bike! Because no two people and hence no two cyclists are the same, Gazelle carries a wide range that is structured according to use and associated seating position: from relaxed upright in town to leaning slightly forward for recreational bike rides.

Everyday use For short, day-to-day trips, you will be most comfortable riding in a relaxed upright seating position (A). You will adopt this seating position for instance on our lifestyle urban bikes. Commuting or bike rides If you use the bike intensively to go to work or for somewhat longer bike rides, then it is better to sit leaning slightly forward (B). This will make

you go faster, with greater manoeuvrability and offer less wind resistance. This is the seating position you will adopt for instance on many of our electric bikes or the low-maintenance allround bikes. Sporty rides If you are more of a sporty cyclist and like going out for hours on bike rides, then a Gazelle touring bike would probably suit you best. The seating

position consists of leaning forward a little more (C), with a derailleur providing even smoother and easier gear changes. You will find this seating position on our electric and touring bikes. You won’t choose your battery until after your test ride. As many as four different batteries fit all Innergy models, three on the Innergy X2 models. This is the way you choose how far you can travel with your Gazelle electric bike, having support of the motor.

Choice of three motors Good grip through front-wheel drive A large proportion of Gazelle bikes have the motor fitted in the front wheel. This means that electric bikes can be fitted with a lowmaintenance enclosed chain case. As a result of the good weight distribution and front-wheel drive you will always have excellent grip on the road while cycling. Extra powerful Innergy X2 motor If you often cycle through hilly areas, you will opt for the extra-powerful Innergy X2 motor with a pedal force sensor (Dual Sensor Technology). Due to the fact that this motor is 20% lighter than the standard Innergy motor, you are certain of extra range and optimum cycling pleasure! Every plug connection a charging point! At work or in a patio, you can easily charge the removable battery in your Gazelle bike anywhere there is a mains socket. With the Gazelle quick charger this takes just a third of the time! The lithium-ion battery offers unprecedentedly long service life and continues to hold its charge.

Not only does a lighter bike provide a finer riding experience, it is also easier to handle when you are not riding it. You can take it out of the bike rack effortlessly and easily lift it onto the rear bike carrier on your car or caravan. A large proportion of our electric bikes weigh less than 25Â kg, including the easily removable battery! The popular Orange Innergy bikes were almost 10% lighter than competitive models in 2012! Weighing just 19.9 kg (excl. battery) the Fuente Lite Innergy X2 is Gazelleâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s lightest electric bike.

Gazelle has two electric bike systems for frontwheel drive bikes, each with its own benefits and riding characteristics. Rotation sensor Entry models are equipped with a rotation sensor. This activates the assistance only when you pedal forward. It makes no difference how much effort you put into it, the assistance works all the time, i.e. simple and robust.
