Unicorns Do Exist After All… By Hollie Lumsden, Year 8, Parks 2 Today, Scientists have had a breakthrough on the mysterious myth that every child dreams on meeting: the Unicorn. Dr Sibil Elascoma, a specialist in Mythical Creatures, discovered a skull fossil in the Pavalodar region of Kazakhstan. With this new discovery, we now know that the Unicorn, or “Elasmotherium sibiricum”, roamed our planet roughly 29,000 years ago

However, to much upset of the public and my colleagues, the Unicorn does not look much like the white haired, golden hoofed, horn bearing gentle horse-like creature we know. Instead, it looks more like a rhinoceros… Elasmotherium sibiricum

“We are very proud of our fantastic discovery” said Dr Yesmo, one of the team who helped Elascoma in her discovery. “I hope that this moment will go down in history as a discovery that will prove to people that Unicorns do exist, and maybe other mythical creatures too…”
