A NEW ADVENTURES PRODUCTION

TUE 9 – SAT 13 OCTOBER Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake returns with a fresh look for the 21st century. Retaining all the iconic elements of the original production loved by millions around the world, Matthew Bourne and the creative team will create an exciting re-imagining of the classic production. Thrilling, audacious, witty and emotional, Matthew Bourne’s Swan Lake is perhaps still best known for replacing the female corps-de-ballet with a menacing male ensemble, which shattered conventions, turned tradition upside down and took the dance world by storm. Collecting over thirty international theatre awards including an Olivier in the UK and three Tonys on Broadway, Matthew Bourne’s powerful interpretation of Tchaikovsky’s beloved tale is a passionate and contemporary Swan Lake for our times.

CILLA - THE MUSICAL is a spectacular and heart-warming musical adaptation of the critically acclaimed ITV mini-series based on the early life of Cilla Black, by BAFTA award winner, JEFF POPE (The Moorside, Philomena, From The Cradle To The Grave, Mrs Biggs, Little Boy Blue). The story follows the extraordinary life of the ordinary teenage girl from Liverpool, Priscilla White, and her rocky, yet incredible, rise to fame. The musical score is the ultimate soundtrack to the 60’s including Cilla’s greatest hits Anyone Who Had a Heart, Alfie and Something Tells Me, alongside a backdrop of the legendary ‘Liverpool Sound’. KARA LILY HAYWORTH plays Cilla. Following weeks of open auditions up and down the country, Kara fought off thousands of hopefuls to be named as the girl who would step into the Legend’s coveted shoesin the first ever musical about the star’s life. Executive Producer and Cilla’s son, Robert Willis, said of Kara: ‘I knew she was the one my mum would have wanted!’ In the role of Brian Epstein is TV and stage favourite ANDREW LANCEL best known for his portrayal of business man Frank Foster in Coronation Street.

MUSICAL ‘GRITTY, GRIPPING, SUPERB’ MAIL ON SUNDAY

Written by Willy Russell, the legendary BLOOD BROTHERS tells the captivating and moving tale of twins who, separated at birth, grow up on opposite sides of the tracks, only to meet again with fateful consequences. Few musicals have received quite such acclaim as the multi-awardwinning BLOOD BROTHERS. Bill Kenwright’s production surpassed 10,000 performances in London’s West End, one of only three musicals ever to achieve that milestone. It has been affectionately christened the ‘Standing Ovation Musical’, as inevitably it “brings the audience cheering to its feet and roaring its approval” (The Daily Mail). Starring Olivier Award-nominated British actress Linzi Hateley in the seminal role of Mrs Johnstone. Linzi has performed in countless West End productions including Mamma Mia, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Les Misérables, Chicago, Grease and Mary Poppins! The superb score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True.

AGATHA CHRISTIE’S

MON 4 – SAT 9 MARCH Discover why Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap has kept people guessing for so long, becoming the longest running show of any kind in the history of theatre. The scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. Who can it be? One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until at the last, nerve-shredding moment the identity and the motive are finally revealed. Experience shuddering suspense and a brilliantly intricate plot where murder lurks around every corner.

Theatre Company

Two Brothers. One Destiny.

HHHH POIGNANT & GRIPPING DAILY MAIL

Based on the Oscar-winning film which famously starred Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman, Bill Kenwright presents the inaugural Classic Screen to Stage Theatre Company with a production of Rain Man, which won Oscar’s for Best Picture, Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Actor for Hoffman. When self-centred salesman Charlie Babbitt discovers that he has a long-lost older brother, Raymond, who has inherited the family multimillion dollar fortune, he sets out to get ‘his half’. Raymond is an autistic savant, has a remarkable memory and a genius for numbers. Determined to get his hands on the money, Charlie ‘borrows’ Raymond from the institution where he has spent most of his life. As the two brothers embark on a trip across America, Charlie soon discovers that Raymond is worth more than he could have ever imagined. Following previously acclaimed adaptations of films for the stage such as The Exorcist, A Few Good Men and The Shawshank Redemption, this will be the premiere production in a brand-new series under the Classic Screen to Stage Company banner. BASED ON THE MGM MOTION PICTURE · STORY BY BARRY MORROW · SCREENPLAY BY RONALD BASS AND BARRY MORROW PRODUCED BY SPECIAL ARRANGEMENT WITH METR0-GOLDWYN-MAYER STUDIOS INC.
