Wake up, What Next?
Do you often wonder how you can make the most out of your day? Establishing a healthy morning routine will set you up for happiness and productivity. Here are a few tips on how: 1) The best way to ensure an efficient morning routine is to ALLOW YOURSELF TO WAKE UP NATURALLY. Once you're awake, accept it and start your day. Avoid those short naps we love to take right after waking up. 2) Don’t procrastinate by starting your day on social media for that instant gratification. Chances are, the last thing you did before falling asleep was reach for your phone - avoid starting your day off in the same way. Smile and give your eyes a break from screens! 3) DO A STRETCHING ROUTINE OR EXERCISE (preferably both). Stretching out the aches in your body from the previous day helps loosen your muscles. It also makes you feel ready to take charge of your day. Exercising increases your endorphins and is a “feel-good” way to start your day. It doesn’t have to be long or strenuous:light cardio or a toning exercise works, too. Do what suits you best. 4) MAKE YOURSELF A DELICIOUS BREAKFAST of whatever you’re craving. It doesn’t necessarily have to be healthy, but try to make it filling and include at least one glass of water. This combination is sure to set you up for the day that lies ahead and give you the energy you need. 5) SPEND 5-10 MINUTES CLEANING YOUR ROOM OR WORKSPACE. A clean workspace allows for more productivity. Blasting your favourite music while doing this will put you in a better mood, too.
6) MAKE A LIST OF THE TASKS YOU AIM TO COMPLETE FOR THE DAY, but don’t put pressure on yourself to do everything on it. Attempt to complete as much as you can. Making this list colourful and having fun whilst you go about your business makes it seem like less of a chore. 7) Lastly, DO SOMETHING FUN! Do something you enjoy before doing something you have to do.
