HANG OUT? MAYBE. The Wynwood area is all about creative chaos. It absolutely radiates imagination. Wynwood Lab draws from that energy to produce incredible original “art” in all its forms: from fine art to high fashion, to stylized products, music and technology. It’s also a place for members to escape the crowds, check out the latest work, admire frequently changing interior and exterior environments crafted by expert curators, kick back with their invited guests, or go it alone and strike up fresh conversations with like minded people. In addition, the Lab is an incubator for creative thinking, where members and guests can observe or take part in Ted Talk like events, press conferences, and new product critiques by influential editors. 120 NW 25TH STREET | MIAMI, FLORIDA 33127 Sponsored by:

Master of Invention American artist Miguel Paredes is widely recognized internationally and has a considerable oeuvre of painting, sculpture and hand-drawn digital work of such quality and scope it is necessary to constantly re-evaluate its importance and not allow any one medium, style, or even marketplace to overshadow the prolific and precise sense of his invention. Paredes spends months developing and painting multiple series simultaneously and his literal desire to always "get the best of himself" succeeds in making each cycle into something very new, fresh and endowed with a full shot of attitude. He is a Hip-hop and Anime fuelled pioneer who integrates the spirit of urban America with a distinctly Latin American flavor. He is a dissembler of new ideas, a charismatic and spontaneous creator who works harder than everyone around him to turn up the volume and re-enchant the possible. He is making art on steel, stone and marble, on thin-screened light displays, on canvas and paper, and he is sculpting and producing collectible toys. Paredes is the shape of his life experiences and it has made him a more powerful force than any singular effect ever could.

Miguel Paredes draws the viewer into a never ending interaction with the canvas immersing the viewer in a phenomenal visual experience as well as a rich inner journey about Time and memory. He paints magnificent images that create an atmosphere of questioning and mystery. Like a great chef, Paredes "sweats the vegetables" to entreat a complete palette, an actual essence, where you can feel the moisture, sense the darkness, hear the Salsa, and smell the streets. The transvestite, the needle park junkie, the neighbors who hang out windows shouting into the streets and the sweet young lovers are sensual textures, vividly decorated by an artist liberated from using only one style because of his mastery of so many techniques. Regardless of his unquenchable appetite for new mediums, Miguel Paredes remains a problem-oriented artist who never seeks an off the peg solution. He embraces analysis and expression, values and admires talent, extracts by association and story, and always elects to return to the heart of what he does best: engaging his viewer. Once Paredes grabs you it is almost impossible to stop looking, to stop seeing the many subtleties, the slang, and the authentic force of his accomplishments as a painter.

BAGS in a world of CONSUMPTION Frederic Allard was born on May 5th, 1968 under the golden glitter of the French Riviera. At this time, France was at its full rebellion. As an only child of a atypical couple, the father being a renowned architect and mother being both exuberant as well as very beautiful. Exposed early on to two aunts, a grandmother and two older sisters from his father’s first marriage, Fred revels in a very feminine environment, marking his childhood with feminine nudity and allure. His father, omnipresent by his charisma but absent by his passion for humanitarian action and women, will spend his life looking for his feminine ideal by multiplying the conquests. He will love them all - from the woman mother to the rebel woman, including the mischievous (naughty) woman, the provocative woman - without ever finding her, nor even leaving her. At a young age, Fredric quickly became enthralled with photography. Gifted with artistic sensibility and a conning eye, the images he captured in his photos always showed sincerity. When his father died, he began photographing the walls of big European capitals. Walls, architectural imprints or indelible imprints of a past that seems to have marked him? As a result, Fred equipped with headphones blaring 80's music, prints these image to larger than life scale. He is in his ideal world, his world. Far from ours. He embeds his paintings with his past and present feelings, with what he is, himself and his emotion. Inspired by Basquiat and by Pop art period, lively colors become his pallet and graphic words his engine. From this, his first series was born. Within this time period, Fred marries and very quickly embarks on a creative whirlwind inspired by his wife's fashion website featuring avant-garde models. His second series is born. He tags these models images, transforms them, tears them, adds HIS words to them, and collage. This becomes his interpretation of the images, his inspirations, his feelings, his disguised times, but always maintaining a very modern and exuberant quality. … " Bas Rock, Very Chic", arose from this series. His third series was dedicated to the ONE woman who could encompass and embody solely with her very image, that of a child, rebel, sensuous and smart woman. His passion for the beautiful in fashion drove him to select as a muse the very epitome and definition of al these women in the iconic Kate Moss. Kate, this one woman has it all. He choses her image to be the first on exhibit. Frederic’s latest sculptures, labeled ‘The BAGS’ are the reflection of his personal and professional life, a Fashion Lab, a Brand Lab, a perfect Trend Lab, a picture, his own feelings and views of this mass consumption society where industrial products and worldwide brands dictate our taste, our needs, our behavior, our very identity. These resin, shiny, transparent ice cubes freeze, highlight, magnify this moment when luxury meets mass, when the brand guides the object, when shopping becomes a need, a must, a status symbol; theses sculpture then themselves become this object of attraction, this object of envy, this object of yours. The sculpture usually includes a luxury bag, the symbol of consumption, accumulation, compression. The beauty is that it can include industrial products, luxury items, even the personal objects of the collector himself as a moment of his own life, his own feelings, his own reflection on society, on others or himself. The BAG then allows the magic moment of dialogue between the artist and the collector, the introspection, the questioning, this instant of sharing, the decision, irreversible. The BAGS use fashion icons, brands, trendy objects, they freeze this frenzy world of consumption in a steady 3D fully transparent picture of our society which then and only then transform from a shopping bag to a timeless reflection, a testimony, a timeless piece of Art.

Southern Charm meets

PopNeoism Tripp Derrick Barnes was born in Columbia, South Carolina and raised as a true southern gentleman. He attended Savannah College of Art and Design and found his true passion at 20 years old when he completed a Life Drawing class requirement. After graduating, Tripp traveled the globe, visiting over 16 countries across 4 continents. He studied culture, worked with locals, and helped impoverished children. The entire experience readied him for his next adventure: life in The Big Apple. In 2012, he moved to New York City to work on films such as “The Dark Knight” and “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. ” On the side, he continued to pursue his love of the arts. In early 2013, Tripp Derrick Barnes found himself living on the Upper West Side right next door to Steven Swancoat, an OB/GYN by day and painter by night. Upon seeing Steven’s paintings, Tripp was inspired to return to his fine art roots, leaving behind the commercial and film production industry. The two began working collaboratively and influencing each

other’s styles. Soon after, they coined "PopNeoism". A name meant to reference their combination of abstract expressionism and pop art aesthetics. Over the past couple of years, Tripp has gathered a large social group. A handful of which are actively involved in philanthropy and support him in the goal to better the world through art. In July of 2014, Tripp and PopNeoism had their debut event at SPiN New York, an art show, ping-pong-a-thon, and charity fundraiser. Actress Susan Sarandon, co-owner of the venue and fan of PopNeoism, donated the entire space for the evening. Tripp's work, and audience, has been expanding at an ever-increasing rate. He has been featured on Good Morning America Live, Project Runway, and starred in 5 episodes of Bravo’s “The Singles Project.” He’s also done personal portraits for celebrities such as Matthew Mcconaughey, Quarterback Drew Brees, Susan Sarandon, talk show host Andy Cohen, and rap artist Wakka Flakka.

THRU YOUTHFUL eyes Gabriela Noelle strives to see the world through a child’s eyes, as if for the first time, in awe of all its beauty and greatness. Her work conjures the curious and playful essence of our inner youth, though through upscale versions for the now sophisticated adult. Wall installations, sculptures and accessories reinterpret furnishing design, each with a name, background story, and fusion of cultural influences that bring spirit to the object. Noelle is most known for her use of acrylic, where she plays with layering for ever-changing effects in color and light, as well as uses it as a sleek foundation to her more organic works interweaving leathers, features, geodes, and crystals. Noelle’s passion for design is both innate and nurtured. As the daughter of an interior and furniture designer mother and an architect father, she had early exposure to the process on a professional level. By age 14, she launched a tote and jewelry line, which she successfully ran during her teenage years. These creative forces prompted Noelle to study Parsons The New School for Design in New York, majoring in design and management across all mediums. Her education combined with her experience has led her to take on a design approach where objects don’t merely bring aesthetic joy and inspiration, but can actually cast meaningful messages and promote a fulfilling lifestyle. Upon graduation, Noelle returned to Miami to expand her accessory portfolio once again, this time within an interior design context. Noelle premiered pieces for the B. Pila Design Hide & Seek collection, where her dreamcatchers, geode-flecked accessories, and art-embedded furniture became signature of her aesthetic. Noelle expands upon this philosophy with the launch of her own line, Flower Child.

Inspired by myths, worldly folklore and the complex simplicity of the human mind, his works explore narratives that seek to recall the connection between the human being and nature and attempt to understand the mysterious part of people’s personal universes. By making use of opposites like the organic and geometric, the physical and metaphysical, as well as using different techniques on a variety of surfaces, Bailon creates his own original visual language in detailed and yet expressive drawings and paintings. Besides getting his work displayed in Group Shows, Bailon has also gotten involved in different and exciting projects around the world this year, such as The White Canvas Project in London and Propa Stuff (somewhere in England’s luscious green countryside), creating stunning new pieces on walls, canvases and objects alongside artists like Miss Van, Will Barras, She One and Max Ripo. Mateus also created an exclusive illustration for the latest EJAF (Elton John AIDS Foundation) campaign, launched last Valentine’s Day. Bailon’s art has been spread in many cities like Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, Paris and London with group shows at the Insider Gallery and Curious Duke Gallery.

IS THE

STYLE LIMIT Originally from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Matheus grew up on street art; he was experimenting at an early age with his own style. Since moving to New York City in 2009, he has been expanding his interest in contemporary art, fashion, architecture, and interior design. He debuted his signature series, Caras e Cores, last year in a solo exhibition in the Lower East Side, as seen in New York Magazine. Global Citizen selected him as the featured artist for their annual charity art show in Soho and he has completed several private commissions around New York and abroad. Earlier this year, Matheus designed and produced his first line of furniture for a highly publicized exhibition in his hometown, which sold out and resulted in several design partnerships with interior architecture firms. After that success, he is looking forward to Wynwood Lab, which will be the first time his furniture will be seen and sold Stateside. STYLE IS THE LIMIT, Matheus’ most recent solo exhibition, covered a multitude of styles and subjects. He shared several series that spoke to his

roots, his process, and his future; “as far as I can go in my own style; my style is the limit.” Hosted by Gallery 151 in Chelsea, this exhibition had an overwhelming turnout, so Matheus looked to take the works to an additional venue. He was then invited to bring a collection of pieces from STYLE IS THE LIMIT to Provocateur for a weeklong exhibition. At Provocateur, an exclusive New York hotspot, his works were well received. Matheus partnered with Steelos. com, a menswear and home goods e-commerce destination, for the sales of his limited edition apparel and artwork. Through a collaborative effort, art is released in stages on the site along with a content series. The apparel was designed and produced by Matheus and features some of his most well known work. Moving away from his traditional paint on canvas, Matheus is currently working on a 2 mixed media series incorporating the works of worldrenowned French based photographer, Mik Lelman. Needless to say he is thrilled to be bringing these and the rest of his works to Miami.

Steven Swancoat is a 29 year old full time Ob/Gyn doctor and artist living in New York City’s TriBeCa. Steven moved to New York in July 2010 as a medical student where his father encouraged him to “give art a try”. Picking up the brush for the first time, he never imagined how his life would change forever. In just four years as a self taught artist, he has had multiple exhibitions, made over 250 paintings, featured on Bravo Television, various magazines and raised over $21,000 for various charities using his artwork. Notably he made a commissioned painting series for Russian President Vladimir Putin and hosted a show & fundraiser with Susan Sarandon’s at her Ping Pong Club SPiN in NYC. Whom both have pieces of Swancoats work in their private collection. On top of his charitable efforts, he also resides as a board member for New York’s Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

Greg Auerbach is an artist based in Los Angeles, CA. His work can be found around the globe and has been acquired in some of the same collections as Warhol, Lichtenstein, Haring and Rauchenberg. Greg's work consists mostly of spray paint over reclaimed mixed-medias, ranging from shiny police bullet shells to dirty old vintage newspaper clippings. He received his BFA from the School of Visual Arts, and at just 30 years old, Greg's work can be found in private and corporate collections from Los Angeles to India. This year, Greg's work has been picked up by Twentieth Century Fox to grace the set of the hit show Empire (click to see video). Also, the Arclight Theater chain has picked up Greg's series, "Hollywood Graffiti" to be displayed on tour all over the country at all of their new cinema openings. Greg has been asked to do work for the Official Oscars after party, commissioned by names like Norman Lear and Adrian Grenier, shown with Shepard Fairey and Mr. Brainwash in Miami, had his work featured in Variety Magazine and had a very successful solo show in LA (28 original 6’ x 5’ pieces featured for 2 months in Hollywood with a viewership of over 20,000 people. His work can be found around the world, his studio is in Downtown Los Angeles. "Hollywood Graffiti" consisted of famous Hollywood icons spray painted over relative collage. This series has been shown all over the United States. The series has since expanded to showcase other icons, from musicians to revolutionaries and is ongoing. Greg’s biggest passion is political work. “Future: No Future”, depicts scenes of ongoing world travesties and their repercussions (i.e. homelessness, energy crisis, global warming). Consisting of original collage, spray paint, bullet shells, resin and sculpture, the series is ongoing. Greg's mother and father still worry dearly for him, but after a mostly factually incorrect article was published in 2014 in the "Jewish Journal", both of his parents have started to think that their son might be ok. www.WynwoodLab.com | #WynwoodLab

Celebrity POP ART Michael Turchin was born and raised in the cultural melting pot that is Miami Beach, Florida. From an early age he showed an immediate love and ability to create impressive works of art, and by age 10 he had several pieces chosen to be held permanently on display at the Department of Education in Washington DC. After high school, Michael entered and ultimately graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelors of Science in Finance. Instead of pursuing a career in business, Michael made the decision to move to Los Angeles to pursue his passion for both the dramatic and visual arts. Inspired by the Hollywood’s effervescent pop culture, Michael decided to once again pick up a paint-brush and delve back into what he knows best. Using bursts of color, dynamic patterns, and drawing from popular graffiti art, Michael has created a modern signature take on retro celebrity-driven pop art. In just over six months he has already begun to make a name for himself in the Los Angeles art scene and has been commissioned by celebrities including Jamie Lynn Sigler, Sela Ward, Lance Bass, Joanna Garcia-Swisher, Aj Mclean, and Lisa Vanderpump among others. Michael is eager to make a permanent splash in today’s popular art scene, and at the current rate his mark will be as bold as his paintings.

The Voice of Vibrant Subcultures When you first meet Alex Yanes, you are struck by how laid-back and approachable he is. Born in Miami, he is the product of both the everevolving, fast-paced city and the burgeoning art scene. Yet, he is as real and approachable as they come. In a city filled with wild characters and over-saturated personalities, Yanes is refreshingly humble, preferring instead to let his vibrant and colorful artwork take center stage. And it does. Since he decided to pursue art fulltime in 2006, his work has become his autobiography, speaking volumes about who he is and what he has seen. A son of the city, his story is influenced by his Cuban roots and an evergrowing curiosity about all the things Miami had to offer him during the 80’s and 90’s. Yanes’ work is the result of years spent immersed in skateboard, tattoo, hip-hop and rock culture during his teenage years, but says he felt the stirrings of creativity at a young age. He won his first art contest at age six and claims that one of his greatest accomplishments was building his own treehouse at the age of 10; a feat he accomplished with the knowledge and tools imparted on him by his father and grandfather.

Now a father himself, Yanes spends his time making art and raising his family in the city that raised him. Where he once worked on canvas, his art has taken on a life of it’s own, coming alive via wood, acrylic, resin and enamel into three-dimensional installations. Each is a unique view into Yanes’ history and love of all things art and have caught the eye of art aficionados and corporate collectors alike. He has worked with Adidas, Red Bull, Sony, The Learning Channel, Vans, Kidrobot and Neiman Marcus. And because he supports the city that cultivated him as an artist, he has made it a priority to work with local foundations where he can help children and ultimately bolster their love of art. He has worked with St. Jude’s Hospital, The Dan Marino Foundation, Miami Children’s Museum, NBA Cares and The Children’s Trust. Whimsical and yet relatable, Yanes’ art embodies innovative use of color and imaginative subject matter and speaks to collectors and new art lovers, alike. His work is now a staple in Wynwood’s art district and he looks forward to taking his art across the U.S. and internationally , with upcoming stops in New York, Chicago, California, Germany, The United Kingdom, Australia and Brazil.

ART

DESIGNER

Alex Turco was born in Udine, Italy on March 5th 1979. As a young man, his father was an excellent painter before becoming a graphic designer and then a photographer, as he still is today; so right from when he was a little boy, Alex's sensitivity and aesthetic sense were encouraged and developed by the passion his father handed on to him. It was not long before he started making weekly visits to the studio of the well known Italian artist Giorgio Celiberti, who became almost a guru to Alex in every sense of the word. As a teenager, he became involved in the design and creation of stage sets and theme parties in the best known nightclubs of northern Italy, in charge of all the organizational and artistic side of things. At the same time, he started to get passionate about fashion, enthusiastically following the creation and development of brands, and closely following the new designs of the big fashion designers. He went to all the fashion shows and the presentations of the new Milan collections, becoming a fashion victim to all intents and purposes, attracted by the quality and sophistication of accessories, and by how they were all combined and put together.

In 2006 he moved to Milan, the home of design and fashion, to start his first business project: "ALEXTURCO New. Pics.Art" was crea-ted to manufacture and sell Alex's creations in the field of interior design and applied art. The company was immediately successful with the Milan jet set, and many well known televisions, movies and music celebrities, as well as important business people in general, wanted a work of art created by Alex, using his unique mixed media technique. His career took off internationally in 2008 with some projects carried out in the United States for Fendi Casa: Alex's decorative panels can be found in the Fendi showrooms in Miami, New York, Washington DC and Los Angeles. Overseas contacts were further created at the Milan "Fuori Salone del Mobile" '08/'09 and the recent "Maison et Object" shows in Paris. A milestone in the growth of the ALEX TURCO ARTDESIGNER brand was the opening of a flagship store in the Design District of Miami in November '09: the first step in a trade policy that will see the establishment of other retail outlets in major world cities. Today, Alex's Decorative Art Panels can be found in the most elegant Italian and American homes: they are considered to be cult objects and are much sought after by new fashion models and design addicts. In the coming years, Alex wants to concentrate on expanding his commercial network but without, of course, forgetting the creative artistic side, his research and that magical touch of innovation and refinement that makes his work sought after and loved by everyone. The road to building an international brand bearing his name will certainly be long and hard, but this mission is extremely clear in his vision for the future. www.WynwoodLab.com | #WynwoodLab
