MEMORY CINEMA Dementia Friendly Film Screenings

Cinemas can provide a powerful way to reconnect with memories and others, yet aren’t always accessible to people with dementia. Swindon Arts Centre is pleased to present a series of dementia friendly film screenings in a safe and relaxed environment. The July Memory Cinema will screen: Some Like It Hot Memory Cinema invites those living with dementia and a friend, family member or carer to come and enjoy a nostalgic film in the relaxed surroundings of Swindon Arts Centre in Old Town. The screening will be tailored to make those living with dementia feel comfortable and safe, with the house lights remaining on low, the option to sing, talk or dance through the film, plenty of clear signage and our friendly ushers on hand to help at all times.
