THE ALARM Hurricane Of Change Tour The Alarm lead singer and songwriter Mike Peters, will present The Alarm - Hurricane of Change 30th Anniversary Acoustic Tour at Swindon Arts Centre this October. The tour will honour The Alarm’s late 1980s trilogy of iconic albums Eye Of The Hurricane, Electric Folklore and Change, and will feature intimate acoustic readings of some of The Alarm’s most famous songs such as Rain In The Summertime (1987 - International Top 20 Hit), Sold Me Down The River (1989 – Number 1 Rock Song in the USA) and A New South Wales (1990 UK Top 40), alongside a host of Alarm standards as captured on the 1988 live album Electric Folklore. The Hurricane of Change tour will be performed solo with a first set dedicated to Eye Of The Hurricane followed by a performance of Change and then featured songs from The Alarm’s classic live recording Electric Folklore.

Enjoy an intimate evening with John Challis, one of the nation’s greatest comedy actors, best-known as Boycie in BBC1’s Only Fools and Horses. In this one-off show the national treasure will reveal secrets from the set with stories and anecdotes from his dazzling career.

Having worked with some of the biggest names in show business, he’ll be spilling the beans about Only Fools and Horses co-stars like Sir David Jason and Nicholas Lyndhurst and friends and fellow performers like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Oliver Reed and George Best. He’ll also recall tales from his time in Dr Who, Coronation Street and other TV classics.

LIVING SPIT’S ODYSSEY Captivating singer Kate Dimbleby joins Bristol’s favourite comedy theatre troupe Living Spit to reimagine Homer’s classic work.

The Odyssey, one of the supreme works of western literature, tells of Odysseus’ 10-year journey home to Ithaca from the Trojan War, overcoming some of Greek mythology’s greatest monsters, misfortunes and temptations. While all Greece presumed him dead, Penelope, his faithful wife, fended off 100 drunken suitors who besieged their home.

The story’s scope and beauty have entranced mankind for nearly three thousand years.

A CHRISTMAS CAROL “Christmas? A poor excuse for picking a man’s pocket every twenty-fifth of December!” exclaims Ebenezer Scrooge in the opening stave of A Christmas Carol. It’s also an excuse for the Dickens Theatre Company to bring you their joyously authentic staging of this Victorian classic.

It is 1866 and two of Dickens’ closest theatrical companions find themselves trapped in the footlights’ glare. With the rest of the cast stuck on a train, actress Frances Ternan and Dickens’ faithful tour manager George Dolby take on the daunting challenge of portraying over 30 characters.
