Arabia demonstrated in his relationships with his students and colleagues, namely: patience, understanding, love, care and dedication to the service of others. The award this year is presented by Mr. Christopher Napolitano to: PHILLIP ARVANITIS
The GERARD J. WERCKLE AWARD was established to honor a Xavier teacher and alumnus whose life expressed faith, dedication and service. The trophy is awarded to a student whose life likewise exemplifies these values. The BERNARD M. MOYNAHAN AWARD for Scholar Athlete is named for a man who realized that happiness depends on the complete exercise of one’s talents—academic, physical, spiritual—for the good of one’s classmates and family, and for the service of God.
