MESSAGE FROM THE

luzon convention of SOUTHERN baptist churcheS Sa ngalan ng buong pamunuan ng Luzon Convention of Southern Baptist Churches ay ipinaaabot namin ang aming mainit na pagbati sa pagdiriwang ng ika-35 anibersaryo ng Cainta Baptist Church. Mapanghamon at napapanahon ang temang napili, “Stepping Up Into a New Level”, “Paghakbang sa mas mataas na antas”. ENRIQUE B. ORTEGA Chief Executive Officer

In behalf of my family, I congratulate Cainta Baptist Church for its blissful 35th Anniversary! May it continue to abound with God’s blessings and provision. And in the years to come, I am confident that by God’s grace, the whole CBC will be more fruitful and flourishing. More blessings!

For His glory, Rev. Ptr. Virgilio Olaer Mission Pastor, Leyte

I love CBC. This church is my homechurch. My family is honored that God would use us to be part of CBC when Pastor Jack started a Bible study with four men in our living room many years ago. Many many years ago. That can only mean one thing. We are all getting old! But getting old gracefully. Full of grace. And that’s the only way to go. I thank God for giving me the chance to pastor this church. I thank CBC for giving a chance to a young seminary graduate to serve as pastor to this church. I was constantly making mistakes but CBC was gracious to me. I will always treasure that time of learning and growing. I know you are happy with your pastor, Alex. He is a fine man of God and I believe that with God’s grace, he will lead you to the next level of growth. Just remember that you have everything you need to do everything you need to do as God leads you. You will continue to be blessed with fruitfulness and faith as you go turn the page to the next chapter of your lives. God bless us all! Pastor Garvic Garcia

MESSAGES

“Life is short, Death is sure, But Eternal Life is assured.” Remember your labor in Serving our Lord is not in vain; Do it while we are alive. (1Corinthians 15:58)

MESSAGES

We hope for a successful celebration of the 35th anniversary of Cainta Baptist Church. We also hope and pray for the successful implementation of the leadership of the church, the ministries and programs as well. We are also blessed to be part of CBC.

Greetings from LIFE TOUCHERS CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY, Rosario Batangas.

Pastor Pons Cables LTCC Pastor, Batangas

Congratulations to CBC as you celebrate your 35th year of God’s faithfulness. I thank our Lord that when He called me back to the ministry, that’s where CBC became instrumental. Together during those years we experienced a spiritual revival that had seen anointed services, powerful preaching, the lost getting saved, people getting healed, deliverance, and churches being planted. I have shared your stories many times whenever it is needed. And you know what, the best years of CBC is still ahead with a new generation of believers and leaders, and an anointed pastor called by God to bring His ministry to the next level. I celebrate with you and and will pray for you that you will get there by the power of the Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus for the glory of God , the Father. Happy 35th Anniversary! From Pastor Richard, Tita Cez, Chackie and Cat

Pastor Gerry Cagud

Maligayang ika-35 Anibersaryo!

Ptr. Ferdie, Joy Taguiang and Family

MESSAGES

My family and I applaud Cainta Baptist Church for its 35th years of worship, service and fellowship. Your church family is a worthy example of what it means to love one another and give cheerfully to those who are in need and especially those who are serving the Lord in the ministry. And I am confident that your legacy of ministry and compassion will long grace the unchurched people of your community, neighboring cities, and provinces of our country by sharing His love to them through relevant and contemporary ministries. Again, congratulations and God bless you more!

MESSAGE FROM THE

MISSION PASTOR Our theme, “Stepping into a new level,” requires us to move from our present level, into another, uncertain but potentially more glorious one. What characterizes our present level? It is a level which we have become very comfortable with. We are very familiar with the things we encounter in this level. Here, we know what works and what does not. The way we do things at this level are already part of our mindset and routine. We are already used to this level and we feel that there is no need for us to leave it. On the other hand, stepping into a new level requires us to go beyond what is comfortable to us into something that is not comfortable at all. Unlike the present level, the new level will make us encounter things that are unfamiliar, irregular, and maybe even unacceptable to us. In the new level, we are not really sure how things work. We will not know how to react, and our minds may be unwilling to accept this new level. Thankfully, even if this new level brings with it a lot of uncertainty for us, we know that there are truths that we can expect to remain constant and firm. We know, for instance, that God does not change. His purposes, characteristics, and ways remain the same. We know that His Word is still very trustworthy. We know that His Spirit is still very powerfully at work in us. And we know that our relationship with Him through His Son remains in its perfect condition. As we make a decision to step into a new level, I am reminded of what the Apostle Peter wrote to his fellow believers, urging them to take their experience of Christ into a new level: “For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.” (2nd Peter 1 : 5 – 8 NLT) As we let God lead us and work in us in this new level, this becomes an opportunity to increase from one level of glory into another, more glorious level of life in Christ.

Ptr. Andrew Peña & Family

MESSAGE FROM THE

sen ior pastor

It is my honor to welcome all of you to our 35th Anniversary Celebration!

Our theme “Stepping Up into a New Level” truly captures the truth that something greater is now in effect, so let’s be more conscious to hold fast the new things. But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, in as much as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. I believe it’s time for the church to wake up and realize the great benefits we have today living in a new covenant, which was established upon better promises. Therefore let’s start stepping up into that new level. Kasama ka rito! Anu man ang iyong kalagayan at sitwasyon sa ngayon “step up to a new level”. Sa iyong relasyon sa Diyos, relasyon sa pamilya, sa iyong pag-aaral o kabuhayan, sa iyong pinansyal na kalagayan, sa inyong ministry at mission sa lahat ng aspeto ng buhay mo… step up to a new level! I invite and encourage all of you (CAINTA BAPTIST CHURCH) to share with us this year a prayer that each of us may be inspired to step up into a new level with greater determination and devotions than ever before.

Stepping up to a new level! Rev. Alexander E. Hernandez

USHERING MINISTRY Ushering Ministry commits to support the purpose of Cainta Baptist Church, that we exist by the grace of God to encourage loving people through the overflowing love of God. We are one of the frontliners of the church, so we, in the Ushering Ministry pursue to glorify God by readily extending assistance to the brethren and guests in the most friendly and loving manner without compromising discipline in maintaining an order during worship services and other activities that require our services. We are looking forward to have a meeting and fellowship to be a regular activity as a venue for discipleship, maintain loving relationships and teamwork for an exceptional execution of tasks. And we believe that these pursuits are to be undertaken through the guidance and dependence on the power and wisdom of the Holy Spirit. We may have challenges on our numbers, but we are continually praying for additional members of this ministry. I pray that more brethren will be touched by the Lord to be a part of this ministry. We are still in need of people, and like what Matthew 9:37 says, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” And I am encouraging everyone who has the gift on ushering to make a step of faith and be used by God on His ministry. Being a part of the Ushering Ministry is saying “Yes” to God for the extension of His Kingdom. Evalyn Ladesma Ushering Ministry Head

MUSIC MINISTRY

The Music Ministry is responsible in developing the music life of the church. It leads God’s people into a deep and meaningful worship experience. Our aim is to lift up the name of Jesus and to make His love and saving power known through every worship being a declaration of God’s word and promises, encouraging all believer to freely express their gratitude and surrender to their Lord and Savior. The team is composed of musically gifted individuals whose hearts are committed to serve the Lord through singing and playing of instruments during worship service and other ministry opportunities that involves music like fellowships, weddings, funeral services etc. We believers are made to worship. We take this purpose to the heart of the ministry and through God’s grace, make CBC a worshipping church while touching people’s lives. May Callanta-Ingeniero Music MInistry Head

You may contact this no. 09333858058 for your prayer concerns. Laila Berenguer-Cortez Prayer Ministry Head

MEN'S MINISTRY

Elpidio Hernandez Men’s Ministry Head

KID'S MINISTRY Kids Ministry is more than just a Sunday School routine. It is a privilege to be chosen and to learn more about Jesus. We encourage families who have children ages 4 – 12 to join us every Sunday. Our teachers are knowledgeable and dedicated whose mission is to disciple these young children entrusted to them. The group provides resources to help kids grow in their relationship with their respective families as well as with God. Other activities for the kids to learn and enjoy are listening to Bible stories, memorizing Bible verse, doing arts and crafts, singing and playing various games. The Kids Ministry warmly congratulates Cainta Baptist Church for celebrating its 35 blessed years. Edith “Maming” Gatdula Kid’s Ministry Head

MISSION MINISTRY We are all part of the missions ministry. You can compare the missions ministry to the Apollo 11 mission that sent two men into the moon on July 1969. Only two men were seen on television stepping on the lunar landscape then. However, it took not only hundreds or thousands, but actually millions of people to enable those men to walk on the moon. In the actual space center, there were hundreds of people at work, mission control specialists, scientists, accountants, HR personnel, and even janitors – all working to keep the mission working well. Then there were the companies who built the parts and supplies for the spacecraft. They employed additional hundreds of people; all playing their little but important parts to produce the parts and supplies needed for the craft. By the way, where did all the money for this enormous effort come from? It came from the millions of people who paid their taxes, small as they seem compared to the full amount needed. Two men sent; millions doing the sending. As you look at the names of the people mentionead in this page, please bear in mind that it is possible for them to do their work of extending God’s Kingdom beyond our immediate community because we also perform through the Spirit the role God has for us as living stones being built up into a spiritual house. Currently, our church extends its influence for Christ beyond our immediate community by supporting the following people: Pastor Pons and Sister Precy Cables – serving as pastor in Rosario, Batangas Pastor Ver and Sister Doray Olaer – serving as pastor and church planter in Leyte Amy Guardo – serving as missionary in Cambodia Pastor Andy and Sister Mafe and family – serving in different Bible translation efforts Levi Cruz – serving the ministry of Bible translation through language documentation Pastor Ferdie and Sister Joy and family – serving in different missionary roles throughout the Philippines and Asia Let us continue to pray, support, and minister to our front liners as they minister beyond our immediate community.

Testimony I’m May Callanta-Ingeniero, happily married to Allan Ingeniero with whom I share the joy of parenthood to Lucas Joseph, now 4 months old. Ours is a testimony of God’s favor in our life that came in His usual perfect and lovely timing. It was in January 2, 2014, 5 days before our 4th Wedding Anniversary that we confirmed the good news! I was finally pregnant with our first baby. This has been in our prayers, that God would allow us to become parents. It was not easy especially for me because I was diagnosed in 2011 with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) a condition where ovulation period is irregular and would require a close work-up with my OB-GYNE. A year later, we discovered I had a hip injury. I underwent a major hipbone surgery followed by a rigid physical therapy. With all these coming our way, it could possibly be a “Yes” or a “No” for parenthood but still we continued asking God for a baby thinking also that these can be God’s way of preparing us physically. We decided we will enjoy the journey of waiting. We took care of each other, we shared bonding moments with friends, dated regularly (or travel when budget permits) and even enrolled in a technical course together. I told God, “Thank You for giving me a loving husband. Sige Lord, sya na lang muna and baby ko.” We graduated from the Massage Therapy course we attended in July 2013 sponsored by BETESDA and CBC. Its chairman and founder, Ptr. Don Satorre (also a ministry partner from our youth committee time and a pastor known to his friends to effectively pray for couples wanting to have a baby) joined us that time. During our simple “kamustahan”, he asked us our specific prayer request as a couple. We immediately answered “baby…twins”. He and Ptr. Alex Hernandez then prayed for us. I recalled hearing him pray that the babies will come before the year ends. As a couple, we calmly believed and went through our usual ways. Not for long, I sensed it. During the Praise & Worship time in CBC’s 34th Anniversary (December 1, 2013), I felt a tingling sensation or movement right in the center of my tummy. It was while leading the song “Favored” that I felt it not once but twice. I felt it again during one of my assigned Sunday as worship leader but still I didn’t think it has something to do with conceiving. We were excited for God’s favor for us in 2014. This included a communication with my OB-GYNE to work-out the baby and that I will show up in her clinic in January. I did show up but for a different purpose- pregnancy consultation. It was time. The Lord granted our prayers with the wonderful gift of a baby boy. We are blessed! While waiting can be overwhelming, God took us deep into the fact that we are favored. As the song says, “Nothing is impossible for those that believe. Nothing is too difficult for our God”. This experience showed us that God’s love and provision is always available for His children. When we pray, nothing is ever going to stop the will of God from happening in our lives. It will happen, in God’s perfect time. JUST BELIEVE!
