Project Description: PROJECT UNPLUG aims to improve a community, help the government and educate high school students, about Energy Conservation in Davao City. The intention is to change the lifestyle of the citizens with their consumption of electricity. It envisions to identify and to solve the underlying problems of electricity shortage. As we will be providing Exchange Participants with research data gathered by the previous Exchange Participants of the project, the data will be utilized for the purpose of Peer Education, Community Symposiums and Lectures; alongside this the Exchange Participants will have the chance to work together with the Department of Energy through volunteer work and plant visitations, wherein they will be able to gather more ideas and knowledge about energy. Issues: Environmental – Energy Duration/Schedule: January 6, 2015 – February 14, 2015 February 23, 2015 – March 31, 2015 Skills Needed: Research, teaching, event management, project management, facilitating, communication, public relations


JD: 

The Exchange Participants will be allotted 1 week to create their 3-day Peer Education Module, through the use of data provided by the Department of Energy and previous cycle’s community research. The Exchange Participants will also conduct their planning and preparation for the Community Symposium to be conducted 3 times during the duration of the project.

The Exchange Participants will be visiting various energy/power plants and providers around Davao wherein they will be given an idea about how the power system works. They will also have the chance to alternately work as volunteers in the Department of Energy.

Blog Creation: The Exchange participants will altogether create a blog dedicated for Energy Conservation and Awareness wherein they will post the information they have about energy conservation, pictures and testimonies about their internship, and a video-log compilation of their entire internship.

Peer Education: The Exchange participants will relay their information and outputs through a presentation to different high school institutions in the city. They will reiterate on the techniques which these High School Students, in their own ways, could help in solving the present and/or future and more looming energy crisis.

Community Symposium: Exchange Participants will relay consolidated information gathered from their planning and present to communities through symposium, effective ways of conserving energy and raise awareness about energy crisis.

Culmination: As a culmination, all Exchange Participants from all Projects will organize a culmination event that will showcase the different social issues that we are facing. In this culmination event, the EPs will scout for event sponsors and venue, and organize their program


Project Description: Agri-BIDA or Agritourism Based In Davao’s Advocacy, is a project by AIESEC Davao that aims to develop a globally competitive agriculture and aquaculture communities in Davao City. It also promotes wildlife awareness through the help of Exchange Participants. Exchange Participants of the project will be able to have hands-on experiences with agriculture and aquaculture, they will also be able to share their knowledge and ideas towards innovation. They will also get to take part in the Philippine Eagle Foundation, a sanctuary for Eagles, as volunteers. Issues: Environmental Protection; Agriculture Duration/Schedule: January 5, 2015 – February 14, 2015 February 5, 2015 – March 21, 2015 Skills Needed: Environment, research, communication, agriculture(preferred), public relations


JD: 

Exchange Participants will be divided into teams to conduct their own community survey to be able to gather and grasp an initial understanding about the communities. They will also be immersing into different fields such as (a) farming and (b) fishing.

The Exchange Participants will receive hands-on experience on (a) farming and (b) fishing, and help the communities conduct their work. They will also gather information about the working conditions, and business conditions and ethics of the community.

The Exchange Participants will review their information and construct a proposal for innovation for these communities for the betterment of their (a) working conditions and (2) business development. They will be working with the City Agriculture Council for the training and implementation of their proposal.

Philippine Eagle Foundation: The Exchange Participants will also be immersed in the Philippine Eagle Foundation where they will be working as volunteers. They will be group accordingly; (a) Conservation Breeding (b) Education (c) Field Research

Project Description: SMILEVILLE is a project by AIESEC Davao that aims to create a child-friendly community to kids in order for them to be easily integrated in the society. There will be activities that will boost their moral and hone their creativity in arts and sports as well as prepare them in a globally competitive world through learning the culture of other countries. Issues: Children’s Rights Duration/Schedule: January 26, 2015 – March 7, 2015 February 15, 2015 – March 28, 2015 Skills Needed: Teaching, facilitating, project management, communication, social work


JD:

Exchange participants will be divided into groups to work in Day Care Centers, Orphanage or in House of Children with Cancer Facility. Every group will be tasked to teach (1) Arts (2) Language (3) Hygiene (4) Sports and (5) Livelihood to children.

Day Care Center and Orphanage: to aid the staff in attending into children’s necessities, guide them during sessions and co-curricular activities and secure the children’s safety.

Day Care Center and Orphanage: To facilitate in sessions such as Arts, Language, Hygiene, Sports and Livelihood, and aid the staff in preparing materials needed in activities.

Cancer Facility: To aid in attending to children with cancer, engage in integrated reading program and special activities specially crafted for these children.

Make observation reports weekly to come up with an Internship Portfolio that includes (1) Video for the whole group, and a Post Internship Reflection.

Project Description: Young Teacher’s Program (YTP) is a joint project of AIESEC Davao and Project Catalyst Philippines to create a globally competitive and multilingual youth base in the Davao region. The aim of the program is to create a continuous learning platform for its participants to gain knowledge and be able to converse in a foreign language by the end of the YTP’s final phase. Issues: Education ; Language Literacy Duration/ Schedule: January 26, 2015 – March 27, 2015 Skills Needed: Expertise in a language (Chinese, French, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, German, etc.), communication, teaching, facilitating


JD: 

Curriculum Development & Enhancement - Creation of a 5-week learning module for the different levels of participants/students.

Facilitation and Teaching - Facilitate the language program and teach the participants/students as per created in the module.

Testing and Checking - Creation of examination and assignments that will ensure the learning and understanding of the student, thus checking the progress of each student

Progress Feedback and Documentation - Documentation of the progress of each students and creation of feedback forms and guidelines wherein EPs will provide middle term and end of term feedback to students.

Online Support Tools - Aside from providing in-class teaching, the EPs will create online support tools for students wherein they can learn continuously.

Once we receive your video and have reviewed it, we will email you immediately. 4. Prepare an EP Recommendation Letter coming from the VP oGCDP/OGX to be submitted to us. Letter must contain why we must accept the EP and his/her eligibility for the project. 5. Apply in the Opportunities Portal. For us to be able to match you, search our Projects in the Opportunities Portal and apply. 6. Once matched in the system, the EP Arrival Info Form and EPPA will be sent to the EP via EMAIL.
