A distinctive type of bay window was designed to confront climate and energy issues effectively, which has more elaborated structure, more layers of climate boarder and more flexible ventilation possibilities than common.
In the design, the strategy of opening organization on envelope and the design exploration of window unit package are the two hierarchies. Moreover, an evolution process is revealed by another three experiments correlated on design hierarchies, organization methods and the motif of opening layout. Thus, panoramic views of the eight design issues forming a window design are presented here: structure, construction and climate on physical level, energy and program on physiology level,
space, view and expression on psychology level.
