Dog House 1 •
Strengths: Learned how to put 3D warehouse into the building. And successfully try different techniques to create eight dog houses. I found it is interesting because it would make the result totally different on each way.

Weakness: I don’t know how to find a perfect view in order to capture a 2D picture with good shadow.
Opportunities: In this week of study, I have gained much more knowledge on sketch up and I feel used to it. It is funny because I can always learn something new in every moment. I enjoy doing sketch up, it make me feel proud that I can invent something by myself. Threat: I have terrible time management, so I am a little behind on the PowerPoint portfolio. I will try to catch up by doing faster and practice more at home.

In this interior space studies, I have some inspiration on the shapes after my hand drawing practice. It is amazing that the person in the room will become different size because the pattern on the floor bring us different visual perception. I also try to use the vibrant colors to

The part that I have stuck is the interior roof. I lost my attention when the teacher explained in class and I didn’t ask about it. I don’t know how to make it connect and create a new layer.
Piazza Del Campidoglio by Michelangelo
When I first saw this Piazza Del Campidoglio exercise by Michelangelo, I felt very interesting and impressive. In this picture above, it clearly show the of how to complete it. However, I think it is challenging because I have to pay a lot of attention to the details such as the star in the middle and the lines.
As you can see below, I made a mistake on erased the line. I think it is hard to do it well without a lot of attention. If I earase on line wrong, it cannot make a complete shape in order to let me paint on it. It is a pity that I found this square is wrong at the last moment, so I have to start it again.
Even though I follow step by step of the instruction, I still make different mistake during the work. Therefore, I have to start it over and over again. I too impatient on the star in the middle because I cannot make it a equal star.
This is the first wall studies I had learned. In this exercise, I learn how to use rotate tool to move wall toward different ways. I also learned how to use layer tool, which is very useful that I need to make something temporarily hide because it block my view during my work.
Perspective View
In this second wall studies, it become more complex and diverse. We start hand draw before doing on sketchup. In the hand draw, I motivate by different idea of shapes. By creating the walls, it is also the best way to get used to the tools in sketchup.

I’ve learned to use many square to constitute a window shape first, but I think it is like a kind of China’s old style screen to separate the room. And it also inspired me to make it like a wall around the house.
