was (born June 26, 1929, in New York City) is an American graphic designer, best known for the I ♼ NY logo, his Bob Dylan poster, the DC bullet logo used by DC Comics from 1977 to 2005, and the Brooklyn Brewery logo. He also founded New York Magazine with Clay Felker in 1968.

was established in 1974 in Manhattan, and is still producing work in a wide range of design disciplines, including corporate identities (logos, stationery, brochures, signage, website design, and annual reports), environmental and interior design (exhibitions, interiors and exteriors of restaurants, shopping malls, supermarkets, hotels, and other retail environments), packaging (food and beverage packaging), and product design.The firm's clients include the Brooklyn Brewery, JetBlue, Target, Coach, Trump, Eleven Madison Park, Alessi, Juilliard, the Rubin Museum of Art, and Theatre for a New Audience, the School of Visual Arts, Bread Alone, ADV Magazine's Philly Gold Awards, Philip Roth, Clay Felker, and numerous periodicals.In addition to Glaser, the studio employs three designers (Sue Walsh, Jee-eun Lee, and Molly Watman) and a studio manager (Scarlett Rigby).

Glaser was educated at Manhattan's High School of Music & Art (now Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts), graduated from the Cooper Union in 1951 and later, via a Fulbright Scholarship, the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna under Giorgio Morandi.

Push Pin Studios In 1954, Milton Glaser, along with Reyonld Ruffins, Seymour Chwast, and Edward Sorel, founded Push Pin Studios.

Within months after their marriage, the Glaser's left for a year's sojourn in Italy. Here, Shirley is encouraging Milton to taste her zuppa di fagioli. He seems to be enjoying it.
In 1968, Glaser and Clay Felker founded New York Magazine, where Glaser was president and design director until 1977. The publication became the model for city magazines, and stimulated a host of imitations.

Milton Glaser’s artwork has been featured in exhibits worldwide, including one-man shows at both the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris (1977) and the Museum of Modern Art in New York (1975).

In 1983, Glaser teamed with Walter Bernard to form WBMG, a publication design firm located in New York City. Since its inception, they have designed more than 50 magazines, newspapers and periodicals around the world.
The National Medal of the Arts President Barack Obama presented the National Medal of Arts to ten recipients for their outstanding achievements and support of the arts. The medals were presented by the president and Mrs. Michele Obama in an East Room ceremony at the White House. The National Medal of Arts is a White House initiative managed by the National Endowment for the Arts. Each year, the NEA organizes and oversees the National Medal of Arts nomination process and notifies the artists of their selection to receive a medal, the nation’s highest honor for artistic excellence.
"These individuals and organizations show us how many ways art works every day. They represent the breadth and depth of American architecture, design, film, music, performance, theatre, and visual art," said NEA Chairman Rocco Landesman.
