MECS system was designed to reflect on the "selfreflexivity" in the human-nature relationship. Users enter various multisensory plant spaces based on Mars ecological credit scores and generate a naturalness score via devices. The system studies the future of scarce resources and plant evolution while provoking reflections on naturalness and ecosystem conservation.
Due to human activities, the Earth is sufering ecological damage.

The building's design is inspired by the form of a tree.
The structure comprises fve sequentially integrated spherical modules. Five tiered sensory plant spaces.
The pavilion is divided into fve sensory spaces: Low-point users can only view the plants, while high-point users can fully engage. This tiered access system encourages environmentally friendly behavior.

Discourses are shaped by rules and practices that are governed by power relations. These rules define the limits of what can be said and who has the authority to speak. Thus, discourse is a product of these power dynamics, emerging from and reinforcing specifc power structures
Many employees tie their self-worth directly to their professional achievements. Workplace norms and societal expectations pressure employees to conform. Employees often feel intense pressure to continually meet or exceed performance standards. Employees often adjust their behavior to ft company culture and societal norms.
Long-term social discipline leads to self-objectifcation and instrumentalization in expression, making spoken words gradually lose their true inner voice.

Performance Evaluation and Professional Standards
The device is used to reveal society's regulation, constraint, and control over individual speech content.
An Arduino controller and voice recognition technology are employed to make the traces of an individual's true inner voice visible through a thermal printer.
The design is inspired by social insects like ants and bees, where collective control governs the group, symbolizing how individual expression is constrained by the "social brain."

Wearing the Mask 1
Symbolizes self-concealment, where thoughts are captured, distorted by external forces, and rendered as fragmented echoes of the original intent.
Inspired by the morphology of insects: highly symmetrical segmented structure, streamlined shape, and a sturdy exoskeleton. Spoken under the control of the social brain.
The mechanical brain captures and displays spoken words in real time, showing how they are gradually distorted by the social brain on screen. Speaking
Distorted Words 2
Output 3
What is printed is not what the user truly wants to say, but words shaped by social conditioning. The truth turns into distorted "traces.".
Use blender geometry nodes to generate insect-like structures.
Form Process Exploration
In form and texture, the efects of rendering insect-inspired designs were explored simultaneously.
This fusion of smooth, translucent surfaces and intricate patterns metaphorically reflects the dehumanization and animalization of human expression.
The shape is as close as possible to wormlike features, such as a strongly organized and protective skeleton.
With simple and smooth lines, symmetry emphasizes the order and stability of the design.
The bee-like form was chosen for its symbolism of collective coordination and efciency, refecting howsocietal control leads to uniformity in language.
Render the model and present the Arduino code.
Step 1 Model Fabrication
A 3D-printed white resin model was fabricated, and the necessary metal optical shafts and linkage structures for the device were prepared.
Step 3 Detail Finishing
Use a spray gun for small-area painting and detail refnement.
Step 2 Spray Painting
Performed large-scale spray painting in silver-gray and fesh tones.
Step 4 Assembly&Testing
Integrate Arduino, printer, and voice module into a 3D-printed robotic mouth and test performance.
Exhibition scene
The mechanical model serves as an externalized representation of the self, governed by the "social brain," continuously articulating expressions shaped by societal expectations.

“Acquaintance circuit” is an interactive installation inspired by the fragile and transient nature of interpersonal relationships within a rapidly shifting, liquid modern society. Through a multi-layered mechanical structure, bubbles are generated and burst upon recognizing a handshake gesture, symbolizing the feeting quality of human connections in a high-speed, time-compressed social landscape.
