Architecture is a concept that embraces everything, and anyone who considers themselves an architect can bring new ideas to the profession, in such a complex and vast environment. Therefore, criticality and independent thinking become the soul of design, Even if the result of output no longer falls within the realm of traditional architecture, it is still as valuable as gold.

These years of academic study have been a process of pursuing myself, i did not study for grades, but to build my own interpretation of architecture and my view of everything. For me, architects design spaces not because of the inertia of education, but because they know the actual impact of every action they take, and also the reflection that each detail they create can bring to people. When the architect leaves, the buildings will carry the vision and understanding that will naturally thrive over time. The works or projects involved in this portfolio have great meaning for me, and I wish you could have a better uderstanding of me and my efforts through these projects.

In the context of Manchester's rich festive culture, old factory buildings can be revitalised. In the derelict factory near ardwick green, a disused wall can become a display façade and, with the help of beer culture, a festival centre for the neighbourhood.

The project aims to focus the Oktoberfest on participation in the process of producing beer and to diversify the product, which can be adapted to a wider range of people. There are also markets and places where people can gather and interact with each other. Festivals are just a point in time and an opportunity to revitalise the venue.

YEAR 5 PROJECT

ARCHIPELAGO OF FESTIVALS

01

BACKGROUND & MENIFESTO

The ardwick neighbourhood in Manchester is one of the oldest and largest neighbourhoods in the city, and its long existence has led to a significant decline in the community's vitality, with very few group activities taking place during the week. This has led to a gradual decline in the neighbourhood. The project aimed to revitalise the community by using the definition of 'play'. After research, it was decided to use "festival" to interpret "play" and introduce a festival museum to revitalise the community. At the same time, the street where the museum is located can accommodate most of the festivals that take place.

REVIVING THE COMMUNITY

'WHEN WILL YOU BE ABLE TO PLAY WITHOUT WORRY?' Weekend? Holiday?

A mind map explaining play and leisure and introducing festivals to reinterpret the new definition of play

The concept of cabinet of festival is introduced, comparing the project to a large display cabinet with festivals inside to re-energise the community.

This project has chosen Oktoberfest as the main exhibition body, on the surface of Oktoberfest, behind it is about the process of making beer.

The most important feature of the cabinet is that it can introduce different festivals over time and has a certain degree of changeability. The temporary nature of the festivals is weakened and the community is energised for a longer period of time.

SITE & INTERFACE ANALYSIS

The site is located in an old neighbourhood and belongs to a reuse project. The original site is an abandoned factory, and the initial idea is to preserve the texture of the original site and design on top of it.

Festivals are just a point in time and an opportunity to revitalise the venue. The festival is an opportunity to give new life to a building that has been abandoned.

INTERIOR DESIGN & BACKYARD

The design retains the exposed steel structure, brick walls and original industrial equipment, and enhances the permeability and interactivity of the space through an open layout, cascading platforms and partial removal of the roof. This transformation strategy gives new life to the industrial heritage, turning it into a public space that is both historic and innovative.

TECTONIC DESIGN

The structural design within the project is centred around the most crucial cabinet space, which is characterised by its ability to display different content depending on the festival, and therefore the structure's greatest feature is also its moveability and changeability. However, how the core frame is attached to a disused wall is the most challenging aspect.

In today's society autism has become an issue that has to be brought to the forefront. Especially among younger children, autism should be given more attention. In the face of this problem, my project has chosen to introduce animals as a medium to bridge the gap between autistic children and society, and to set up the surrounding environment to aid in the recovery of autistic children.

And in the farms of the venue, Ireland, there was already a tradition of keeping ponies as well as horse racing festivals, which provided an excellent basis for animal healing, and so a project about ponies healing autism arose.

YEAR 4 FINAL YEAR PROJECT

HEALING STABLES FOR AUTISTIC CHILDREN

BACKGROUND & MENIFESTO

Every child is a gift from God to itsparents, but some children may beaccompanied by hiddendefects, and if parents do not pay attentionto these defects, or if they abandontheir children because of them, thenthese children will be separated fomthe wond forever. This time is like aburning candle, once it is burnt outthere is no chance ofregret. The term contact was intended to mean only the touching of skin to skin. But in a broader sense, contact can representinteraction between children and their peers, interaction with strangers, or even interaction and integration with that society

Symptoms of autistic children and in this context the need for programmes for the healing of autistic children is urgently raised and their current situation improved.

In the project the animals are used as a medium to connect the children with autism tonormal society, and the architectural space becomes a platform for the children to beintegrated into society at any possible opportunity.

The healing horse farm conceived in the concept embodies the healing of children at different stages of autism by contacting this concept.

The term contact was intended to mean only the touching of skin to skin. But in a broader sense, contact can represent interaction between children and their peers, interaction with strangers, or even interaction and integration with that society.

SITE & DESIGN PROPOSAL

In the design of the project, the various pieces ofinformation on the site play a very important role. Forcxample, ifanimals such as ponios aro to bo used as amedium forhealing children with autism, the site in whichthe project is located needs to take into account notonlythenecds oftheuscrsand the children, butalso the ncedsofthe animals. The terrain mustallow the animals to movearound normally and the rosourcos on the site must beable to meet tho animals' daily nee ds, In addition, the variety of landscaping plays a vital role increating a suitable living space for children with autism.

Autism Screening Form(ABC Quantitative Form)

As autistic children are inherently resistant to contact with people in the community, the premise of venue selection needs to take into account the main flow of people and set up a relatively quiet environment for the children.

Activities are arranged differently for children with different levels of autism

Children at this stage are still very resistant to the outside world and need to be accompanied and guided by a close person, such as a parent, over a long period of time, and to engage in simple daily activities to slowly improve the situation.

Children at this stage are largely free of many autistic problems and can be exposed to normal social contact, although the issue to be noted is that they should not be exposed to very stimulating activities

CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

The project aims to focus the Oktoberfest on participation in the process of producing beer and to diversify the product, which can be adapted to a wider range of people. There are also markets and places where people can gather and interact with each other. Touching & Healing Life Of My Life, I Will Keep My Body EverPure, For I Know The Caress Of Your Life ThatTouches MyLimbs. AERIAL VIEW OF A HEALING STALE

PROJECT PANORAMA

Based on children's drawings and basic lrish houses as the basic units of the design ontologythe children's perspective on the various functional units of the building was interpreted andrepresented in sketches. In the process, many features were noted, such as the sloping roofs ofthebuildings, and the fenceswhich for them represent the division of space and selfprotective features.

By setting the starting point of the design from the child's point ofview and using traditional lrishhomes as an aid to the design, the children who come for healing will feel the closest sense ofprotection, which is an excellent start for sensitive children with autism.

Children in the stables inadvertently socialise with the crowd in the venue while generating interactive activities with the ponies, which is the best result of the ponies we wanted to use as a medium.

In the design of the site, in addition to the children's activities, we also had to consider the daily activities of the media ponies, and provide them with an active site on top of the existing grassland in Ireland.

The ponies galloped around the grounds, infecting the autistic children with their energy and bringing about a change for the better

Mine & Memory ALLIHIES ,IRELAND

Public space design - A reminder of history in an abandoned mine site

Instructor: John Latto

Individual work [HIISTORY BACKGROUND]

The project is aimed at themigrant miners of alihiesIreland. Since the end of the l8thcentury, due to natural and man-made disasters, many minershave chosen to leave their homesin search of hope for a life in aforeign land, This project is tryingto awaken the memory of thesepeople who have gradually beenforgotten in their homes

The projection of what wasonce an underground miningroad onto the surface, andthen the definition of the formto give this newly constructedroad a new connotation ofmemory,is the best startingpoint of the macro history otmining

The allihies grew up over two hundred years ago as a result of mining, but naturaand man-made disasters led to the emigration of miners, spreading the lrishbloodline around the world, Two hundred years later this heavy history is beingforgotten and the design of this research centre is intended to re-inspire those who seek their roots abroad and the originalinhabitants.

As each person experiences the whole stream, the memory fragments in their mind will bereorganised, as each person focuses on differentpoints during the experience, the emotionstriggered within them are also different, thuscreating a memory gallery after being reorganised.

TECTONIC DESIGN

The main structure studied in this project is about concrete, which in most mountainous environments is easier to work with and creates a corresponding sense of atmosphere. After overall consideration, the upper and lower levels of the building were studied to match the elevation difference of the site.

OTHER WORKS—ACADEMIC PROGRAMS

Campus Bridge Design - GROWING

Individual work

Position:Designer

The bridge will connect the North and South campuses (clear Span: 27m,without Interim supports), making it easier for students and faculty to travel between the two campuses. Pedestrian paths, bicycle paths and wheelchair accessible will be considered in the design of the bridge. The bridge can carry 100 people at a time, meaning it can carry 7,000 kilograms.

When wooden elements are used for bridge decks, especially if they are exposed to the weather. Exposure to the weather must be ventilated It is best to ventilate on all sides to avoid mould or rot (timber structural protection). This is a prerequisite for the use of wooden surfaces.

A prerequisite for the use of wooden surfaces, this means that timber is normally only used for bridge surfaces. Considering the relative slipperiness of wet wood, in any case the planks should be laid horizontally. Additional anti-slip measures are also necessary. For example, the surface of the planks may be grooved in strips. Wood changes colour during its natural ageing process. Changes, which can liven up the appearance of structures and bridges.

LE CABANON 2.0 DRSIGN

Individual work

Position:Desiner

In 1951, Corbusier designed and built Le Cabanon de Vacances based on his theory of modulus. He explored the smallest space for human life by placing the habitat in the natural environment. Since then, architects have continued to explore the smallest living space. With the advancement of technology and social media, people rely too much on online communication and neglect the importance of offline interaction. Interesting spaces that are multifunctional and can be assembled according to the residents' personal ideas are more popular among young people.

I hope that through Folding Cabin, we can create a community atmosphere for young people, where they will not be disturbed by the rapid pace of social life, and where they can take off the masks of the workplace for a while, and only construct a free atmosphere of life. When using the travel cabin, the user can change the form of his/ her house by changing his/ her mood, expressing his/her thoughts and showing his/her social status.

A detachable mobile cabin designed for one person to be able to fulfill all their daily needs.
