In the context of Manchester's rich festive culture, old factory buildings can be revitalised. In the derelict factory near ardwick green, a disused wall can become a display façade and, with the help of beer culture, a festival centre for the neighbourhood.
The project aims to focus the Oktoberfest on participation in the process of producing beer and to diversify the product, which can be adapted to a wider range of people. There are also markets and places where people can gather and interact with each other. Festivals are just a point in time and an opportunity to revitalise the venue.

ARCHIPELAGO OF FESTIVALS
Manchester is set to host the first ever International Brewing & Cider Festival, a two-day ticketed event in March 2024, providing a rare opportunity for the public to taste a vast range of local, national and international drinks, including award-winning beers and ciders from the International Brewing & Cider Awards.
The brewing process begins with the malt mill, where grains are crushed to extract fermentable sugars. These complex pieces of equipment work in tandem to produce the wide variety of wines that are the essence of the art of brewing.

1. Manchester is a culturally vibrant city and a beacon for festival lovers, hosting a wide range of events throughout the year. Known for its diversity and inclusive spirit, Manchester hosts an eclectic range of festivals covering music, art, culture and food. Manchester’s festivals reflect its cultural vibrancy, attracting locals and visitors alike to enjoy the city’s ever-evolving creativity and diversity.

BACKGROUND & MENIFESTO
The ardwick neighbourhood in Manchester is one of the oldest and largest neighbourhoods in the city, and its long existence has led to a significant decline in the community's vitality, with very few group activities taking place during the week. This has led to a gradual decline in the neighbourhood. The project aimed to revitalise the community by using the definition of 'play'. After research, it was decided to use "festival" to interpret "play" and introduce a festival museum to revitalise the community. At the same time, the street where the museum is located can accommodate most of the festivals that take place.

A mind map explaining play and leisure and introducing festivals to reinterpret the new definition of play
The concept of cabinet of festival is introduced, comparing the project to a large display cabinet with festivals inside to re-energise the community.
This project has chosen Oktoberfest as the main exhibition body, on the surface of Oktoberfest, behind it is about the process of making beer.
The most important feature of the cabinet is that it can introduce different festivals over time and has a certain degree of changeability. The temporary nature of the festivals is weakened and the community is energised for a longer period of time.

BEER FESTIVAL & 1:20 SECTION
The structural design within the project is centred around the most crucial cabinet space, which is characterised by its ability to display different content depending on the festival, and therefore the structure's greatest feature is also its moveability and changeability. However, how the core frame is attached to a disused wall is the most challenging aspect.

In today's society autism has become an issue that has to be brought to the forefront. Especially among younger children, autism should be given more attention. In the face of this problem, my project has chosen to introduce animals as a medium to bridge the gap between autistic children and society, and to set up the surrounding environment to aid in the recovery of autistic children.
And in the farms of the venue, Ireland, there was already a tradition of keeping ponies as well as horse racing festivals, which provided an excellent basis for animal healing, and so a project about ponies healing autism arose.
YEAR 4 FINAL YEAR PROJECT
HEALING STABLES FOR AUTISTIC CHILDREN
Every child is a gift from God to itsparents, but some children may beaccompanied by hiddendefects, and if parents do not pay attentionto these defects, or if they abandontheir children because of them, thenthese children will be separated fomthe wond forever. This time is like aburning candle, once it is burnt outthere is no chance ofregret. The term contact was intended to mean only the touching of skin to skin. But in a broader sense, contact can representinteraction between children and their peers, interaction with strangers, or even interaction and integration with that society
Symptoms of autistic children and in this context the need for programmes for the healing of autistic children is urgently raised and their current situation improved.
02
03
In the project the animals are used as a medium to connect the children with autism tonormal society, and the architectural space becomes a platform for the children to beintegrated into society at any possible opportunity.
The healing horse farm conceived in the concept embodies the healing of children at different stages of autism by contacting this concept.
TOUCHING
The term contact was intended to mean only the touching of skin to skin. But in a broader sense, contact can represent interaction between children and their peers, interaction with strangers, or even interaction and integration with that society.

In the design of the project, the various pieces ofinformation on the site play a very important role. Forcxample, ifanimals such as ponios aro to bo used as amedium forhealing children with autism, the site in whichthe project is located needs to take into account notonlythenecds oftheuscrsand the children, butalso the ncedsofthe animals. The terrain mustallow the animals to movearound normally and the rosourcos on the site must beable to meet tho animals' daily nee ds, In addition, the variety of landscaping plays a vital role increating a suitable living space for children with autism.

03 Autism Screening Form(ABC Quantitative Form)
As autistic children are inherently resistant to contact with people in the community, the premise of venue selection needs to take into account the main flow of people and set up a relatively quiet environment for the children.
Activities are arranged differently for children with different levels of autism
STAGE 1: Scores over 70 below 100
MODERATE TO SEVERE AUTISM
Children at this stage are still very resistant to the outside world and need to be accompanied and guided by a close person, such as a parent, over a long period of time, and to engage in simple daily activities to slowly improve the situation.
STAGE 4: Scores below 20
AUTISM IS LARGELY RULED OUT
Children at this stage are largely free of many autistic problems and can be exposed to normal social contact, although the issue to be noted is that they should not be exposed to very stimulating activities

"Building is really dwelling."--Martin Heidegger
The direct interplay of individual structures and assemblies during the construction of a building creates the most logical and straightforward living structure.
From time to time, we wish to understand the world from a child's point of view, and the paintings distil the architectural features that are most sensitive to children

PROJECT PANORAMA
04 Based on children's drawings and basic lrish houses as the basic units of the design ontologythe children's perspective on the various functional units of the building was interpreted andrepresented in sketches. In the process, many features were noted, such as the sloping roofs ofthebuildings, which allow the children's first reaction to be surrounded and protected, and the fenceswhich for them represent the division of space and self-protective features.
By setting the starting point of the design from the child's point ofview and using traditional lrishhomes as an aid to the design, the children who come for healing will feel the closest sense ofprotection, which is an excellent start for sensitive children with autism.

Children in the stables inadvertently socialise with the crowd in the venue while generating interactive activities with the ponies, which is the best result of the ponies we wanted to use as a medium.
In the design of the site, in addition to the children's activities, we also had to consider the daily activities of the media ponies, and provide them with an active site on top of the existing grassland in Ireland.
The ponies galloped around the grounds, infecting the autistic children with their energy and bringing about a change for the better
