EDIBLE FIELD A Proposed Healthy, Edible Mixed Use Community Leeds | UK
Introduction The site will be developed into a healthy, edible and self-regenerating mixed use community. As a corridor connecting other green spaces. Providing a floodable and ecological riverside landscape with habitats and a series of open spaces. Vegetation will act as an important role to increase the cohesion and ecology through the whole site.
Aims: • Achieve a lively mixed use community. • Encourage healthy living and improve plant design to increase ecology, cohesion and aesthetic value for the site. • Develop a floodable landscape by adopting a comprehensive approach to relieve flood risk. • Improve and increase walking and cycling route, especially the north-south pedestrian links. • Develop the listed building Canon Mill and its surroungding area.
Planning Theory Following Forman and Godron's (1986) ecological principle, which is landscape is combined by patches, corridors and mosaics. Also as Dean, Rober t and Herman (1987) stated that a landscape is mosaic of patches, the components of pattern.

TRANSITIONAL EDGE A Socially Restorative Experiment Leeds | UK
Introduction This project mainly focus on landscape experience, and improve landscape design from human perspectives and wishes. The aim of the project is firstly to create characters who will use the site regularly, secondly deliver a concept plan basing on their wishes, and thirdly developing exo drawing and model during the same time.

Wish Plan
Wish Plan is basing on three character's wishes, for example, all of them want to be close to water. Tom wants to play with ducks and somewhere to explore, Rebecca and Josh want to have some place to relax, jog or walk.
Concept Plan
Concept plan is delivered from Wish Plan. We have considered all characters' wishes, then decided to have a transitional space from water to the ground, in order to provide a continious walking route and more landscape experiences. More communication between interior and exterior to enhance spatial utilization. And a square with big rocks and big trees to create naturalistic atmosphere.
Exo Drawing
Exo drawing is developed together with the model step by step, this is a really good method that it can figure out what is suitable for a human scale, how landscape experience can be enhanced and improved.

Spacial Analysis of Model
The decks on water provide different spacial sequece and experiences, people can walk through busy public space, then arrive at private space to enjoy their own time. They can also walking on the walking path and stay at the semi-public space while looking at people jumping from the jumping board into water.
The transitional space on the groud is also very interesting after this redesign. There is a big public space in the centre, connecting sideward private spaces, for example, the proposed cafe shop at the corner. The extensions of balcony allow more contact between beighbours, and they also create more private spaces beneath them.

PORTER BROOK REVOLUTION An Ecological Parade to Sheffield Centre Sheffield | UK Introduction This module aims to develope skill in the use of concept, methods and procedures in landscape planning and strategic design at the large scale, and in ecology, vegetation, topographic and water studies relevant to landscape planning scale.
Aims: •Resolving flood problem Objectives: 1. Widening some part of the river and create some islands to dredge the water. 2. Softening and gentling the river bank. •Enhancing biodiversity Objectives: 1. Planting reed beds beside river bank and other marginal plants inside river to purify the water quality and increase aquatic biodiversity. 2. The riverside walk is designed across the river from one side to another. With some part of the riverside untouched, biodiversity can be protected but still can be seen.

The concept diagram is based on enhancing the connection of existing green spaces, and create a big scale ecological and green infrastracture syste habitat creation and extension, from peak district to Sheffield city centre.

Introduction Aims & Objectives: • Develop a multifunctional space that provides open space for people • Improve a flood-alleviation function, SUDS and surface water management • Integrate a diverse mosaic of vegetation types and habitats • Consider the role of the site in wider circulation, access and user network, this will include a new pedestrian and cycle bridge over the rail line.

Circulation Strategy
Primary path Secondary path Tertiary path The aim of this circulation strategy is to allow both quick-pass and temporary rest. Visitors will go through the site conveniently when they choose primary path, they can go straight to the newly-built footbridge. For people who want to have a rest or a cup of coffee, they can visit the cafe at the centre and stay at the silent resting green space to enjoy themselves.
