He completed his early education in Singapore and graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1985. He was awarded academic medals in the fields of Restorative Dentistry, Medicine and Oral Surgery. Dr. Ong has been appointed as a member of the Dental Specialist Assessment Committee (in Paediatric Dentistry). He is the first and only Singapore trained Plastic Surgeon to receive the FRCS (Plastic Surgery) qualification from the Intercollegiate Specialty Boards of the United Kingdom, and was awarded the Ian MacGregor Gold Medal by the British Association of Plastic Surgeons. He is also a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and is Exit Certified both in Plastic Surgery as well as in Hand Surgery by the Specialist Training Committee of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. In his academic career, he served on faculty in the Department of Surgery, National University of Singapore until 2005. He continues his association with the University as adjunct Associate Professor in Surgery. Dr. Lim has lectured extensively on many aspects of Plastic Surgery both in Singapore and Internationally. He remains active in research and is the only Singaporean Full Active Member of the North American Plastic Surgery Research Council. He was the first Singaporean to receive the Saleh M. Shenaq International Research Award by the Plastic Surgery Research Council for his work on keloid scar biology in 2001. His current research interests are in scar pathobiology, clinical applications for umbilical cord lining derived stem cells, and in effective transdermal delivery systems for skin treatment, anti-aging and rejuvenation. In addition to directing the Skin Cell Research Group at the National University of Singapore, he has international collaborations for research, reviews grants both locally and internationally, and is a peer reviewer for local and international scientific and clinical journals. Dr. Lim is a member of the Singapore Association of Plastic Surgeons, the Singapore Society of Cosmetic (Aesthetic) Plastic Surgeons, the Singapore Hand Surgery Society, and the British Association of Plastic Surgeons. Dr. Henry Loh graduated from University of Melbourne, Australia. After graduation, he trained at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary in Scotland and Guy's Hospital in London before coming to Singapore to take up appointment at the National Skin Center. He left National Skin Center to set up his private practice at Dermatology Associates in July, 2005. Dr. Loh has extensive experience in both medical and aesthetic dermatology. He has special interests in atopic eczema, skin allergy and paediatric skin conditions. He is currently a visiting consultant at KK Women and Children's Hospital.
Dr. Patricia Ng graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1991. After completing her training in Internal Medicine and receiving her MRCP (UK) in 1995, she commenced her dermatology training at the National Skin Centre, Singapore and received her specialist accreditation in 1999. She was made a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh) in 2006. She is an experienced and competent dermatologist in the fields of general and aesthetic dermatology. In addition, she also has a special interest in medical dermatology and immunodermatology with extensive experience in managing patients with skin manifestations of connective tissue diseases such as lupus erythematosus and dermatomyositis, cutaneous vasculitis, and immunobullous diseases such as pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid. She did her fellowship training in Immunodermatology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, USA. Prior to joining Dermatology Associates in 2007, she was Chief of the Immunodermatology Unit at the National Skin Centre for 5 years where she was actively involved in research and teaching dermatology trainees and general practitioners. She was also a clinical teacher for the National University of Singapore Faculty of Medicine. She is a member of the Dermatological Society of Singapore and the Chapter of Dermatology under the College of Physicians, Singapore.
