Whatever the Weather be...

When you wake up in the morning, do you dress according to the weather outside or the temperature in Xavier? There are disagreements and opinions about Xavier’s temperature. Some students say the school is freezing while others are perfectly content. Find out more about what goes into keeping Xavier’s climate under control and get advice on how to stay comfortable during school no matter how you feel.

Facts from head of maintenance Tom Wille:

*Average temperature in the school is 72 degrees. *By law, the air, which is computer controlled, never stops because no windows in the building can be opened. *“We keep it comfortable but cool enough to keep students awake and also conserve energy,” Tom Wille said.

“I have three fleeces and I wear one every day. I think Xavier should get gray fleeces because when I wear navy pants, I either have to be cold without a fleece or look funny with navy on navy.” - Melanie Wertzberger ‘15
