ML Sultan learners cry racism regard. Protests erupted at the school last week Thursday and filtered onto Friday as well with Monday seeing violence erupting with learners. Two learners were allegedly injured on Monday with one being struck by a brick and another learner had his hand injured when it was allegedly sandwiched between a window pane and closed on resulting in a deep cut requiring stitches. The Xpress Times spoke to a Grade 12 Representative Council
of Learners (RCL), with six other learners who said racism was also an issue in the school. “We want the Indian educators to stop insulting us during class lessons,” said the RCL representative. We also asked him if he was aware of the sexual allegations levelled against the principal by a female learner, the RCL representative said “yes but we did not see” referring to the alleged incident. “We want our principal Stockist of RayBans and other to stay,” he added. designer sunglasses Amidst a burning bin in the backdrop, the learner points to a page where it asks why a group of black teachers are suspended. With the complaints levelled against the so called 'Indian teachers' of racism after the principal's suspension, questions have been asked why now and not prior to the principal's suspension. Mayor enjoys public contributions on draft budget By Xpress Reporter
The KwaDukuza Municipality (KDM) Mayor, Councillor NR Mthembu welcomes the vibrant and robust public contributions in the on-going Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and Budget Roadshows. The latest Mayoral Roadshow visit to Stanger Manor (Ward 17) last Thursday and Driefontein (Ward 21) on Sunday follows the tabling of the R1.2 billion draft budget for the 2013/2014 financial year and has welcomed the input that is being contributed by KwaDukuza communities. According to Mthembu, these contributions will not only help the government to identify and set key priorities
in its community development plans, but will also help improve government's response to key issues. “Our municipality is driven by transparency. We enjoy constructive criticism as such information is important as we map out our development programmes on our IDP. These inputs give us a clear map on how we will organize our spending in this year's budget,” said Mthembu. Mthembu together with high level officials have embarked on a series of consultation visits to all KwaDukuza's wards (27 in total), to map out their expenditure plans for the forthcoming financial year. The Mayor said that that

He and two others died on the scene in a headon collision with an SAPS vehicle on the R102 outside eSikhawini during the early hours of Wednesday, 3 April 2013. Mthembu was aggrieved by Ngwane's death, saying that KwaDukuza lost a hero. He remembered Ngwane as a man who set a
good example with his sense of respect and courage. “Ngwane was a visionary who was passionate about improving the lives of others. His work and his personality are imprinted in our memories. “He was an individual who consistently pushed the envelope in his work as a Councillor and a public servant. I would remember Ngwane for his dedication, discipline, loyalty and respect. Ngwane was a fighter with a low-key profile,” said the Mayor. Residents left powerless By Xpress Reporter
The residents of the Dokterskop area were left without electricity in the early hours of Monday, 15 April 2013 when an alleged attempted cable theft occurred. The power box in the area had been tampered with, and it is alleged by DA Councillor, Andrew Gopaul, that the perpetrators were preparing to commit this theft since last weekend. “On Saturday we noticed that the ground had been dug up and this raised concern that these were preparations for a cable theft. We then covered up the area with concrete slabs,” said Gopaul.

Arrogance personified Zain Pillay of Indian Village alleges that he had just earned R50 when he met Preshen Egambaram. He requested change from him and on handing him the note he walked off and jumped into a vehicle. That evening Pillay, accompanied by a friend, approached Egambaram and decently requested the money. They allege that Egambaram became violent and threatened them with violence and harm. A case was reported to the public and Egambaram was arrested. He is due back at court on 16 April 2013. What an Easter Holiday Emily Xulu had a hectic Easter weekend after her son disappeared from the house with her bank card. Upon making enquiries she eventually found him holed up with friends who had been enjoying his generosity, consuming alcohol he was supplying them. She marched him off to the police station last Wednesday and upon obtaining a statement of her account found that R16 235.13 had been withdrawn from her account at various ATM's and stores. Victor Sandile Xulu (24) is due back at court this week to seek bail. For the love of alcohol Two people appeared in court on a charge of murder last week. It is alleged that a group of friends had been drinking at Khumalo's Tavern at Ntshawini. When they ran out of funds they went to a home of a person they believe had lots of cash in his possession. Upon setting their victim up, the group then shot the man in his chest and fled. Witnesses identified the group and two were arrested whilst the third turned state witness. Mlamuli Majola (28) and Lindiwe Gumede (28) have both been charged for robbery and murder. They will apply for bail this week. Which lunch bar A plumber who is well
acquainted with pipes thought his trick would outwit security. U-Save security officer Sboniso Mlambo, spotted a youth take two Lunch Bars and slipped it into his underwear. As the youth passed the till point Mlambo confronted him and despite trying to convince Mlambo that he has a triple-headed private part, the guard was unmoved. On searching the youth, he removed two Lunch Bars valued at R12.00. Jerome Andrew Anderson (23) was sentenced to a fine of R1000 or 3 months imprisonment which was conditionally suspended for five years. Doing good Not to help someone in need brings trouble to you and so too when helping others brings you the same reward. This is the predicament of Nkosikhona Dube. He alleges he was requested by two youths to phone the police if he saw two youths who allegedly pointed a firearm at them. When he did spot Nkululekho Ntshangase (29) and his companion, he told them what happened and phoned the police. Ntshangase allegedy slapped Dube's brother for this. The brothers walked off. When the police left the area, Ntshangase traced Dube and again assaulted him and took his cash and cap. Now Ntshangase is in custody on a charge of robbery. Ill discipline The scary state of discipline amongst the youth has once again reared its ugly head. Sisaye Alemayethu, a foreigner and owner of the Mamazabantu Tuck Shop at Happy Valley alleges that he was serving a customer. He spotted a youth from the area helping himself to cash and cigarettes and activated his panic alarm. G4S Security arrived after a short while and traced Sandile Lushozi (18), a Grade 10 scholar at Glenhills Secondary School. Lushozi was charged with theft and is expected back at court on 28 May 2013.

“I would surely wonder if the CBD was dead or alive”
COUNCILLOR'S CORNER Sandy Kalyan - MP Democratic Alliance North Coast Constituency
“The keys to the court could not be located” One of the duties of a Member of Parliament is to conduct oversight in their allocated Constituency. Following a public meeting on Thursday, 11 April 2013 in Ward 22 in Salt Rock, I undertook to meet the Station Head of the Umhlali Police Station to address the concerns of citizens about the taxi violence which has flared up recently in Ballito and surrounding areas. I was accompanied by Councillor Ann McDonnell and ward 22 Chairperson Terry Bengis and we met Colonel Zondi this morning, Monday 15 April at 10am. It was indeed a very productive meeting and I undertook to follow up further with the head of the provincial task team which has been designated to handle this sensitive matter. As we were leaving the police station, I noticed many people standing about and upon inquiring why they were there, discovered that
they were waiting for their cases to be heard in the periodical court situated on site of the Umhali Police Station. Proceedings could not be heard as “the keys to the court could not be located!” I could not believe what I heard so my colleagues and I decided to confirm if that indeed was the case. The delegation introduced us to Prosecutor Maluleke. I did so by way of presenting my Parliamentary card which he refused to accept. When I asked him if it was really true that the keys to the court could not be located and if so, were the people who were waiting outside since 8am informed of the reason for the delay, he became decidedly antagonistic, saying he did not care if I was a Member of Parliament (MP) for the DA. He was unhelpful, insolent and disrespectful to say the least. While all this was carrying
on, an attorney who had been waiting for proceedings to start, asked Prosecutor Maluleke why he had taken her client to a waiting room and badgered her to plead guilty WITHOUT her counsel being present. He then got into an argument with her. It is unbelievable firstly that “keys get lost,” that the public representatives who have every right to question such an untenable situation gets treated with disrespect and that the said prosecutor intimidates clients. I intend to lodge a formal complaint to the NPA about Prosecutor Maluleke's behavior. While the courts are the jurisdiction of the Department of Justice, the Periodical Court is on site of the Umhlali Police Station. Colonel Zondi was unaware of the situation until he was alerted to it and he has undertaken to find out what the circumstances of the lost keys are and to revert to me.
DEAD OR ALIVE: Councillor Collin Marsh pointing out a dead tree
“One-year later and still counting... What has happened to our Chambers? Rumours say the contractor ran away and could not complete the job. Council Chambers are to be redesigned to gain more seating is another rumour. The new contractor is to be on site soon is another rumour. Come on Mr Speaker, this is your Chamber, so when can we use it again? In the meantime an investigation will reveal what really happened, find that will, will surely make me happy.”
“If I was a visitor to KwaDukuza and I travelled up Albert Luthuli Street I would surely wonder if the CBD was dead or alive. We have 14 trees that are dead. Reminds me of the Palm Tree Saga! It will also take longer to negotiate the street because of the new configuration and of course the parking arrangement causes more chaos. When can we see the dead trees replaced and where are the much needed Public Toilets? Did we really pay the consultants so much money to deserve this mess? Please Municipal Manager to something soon so we can be proud of the CBD.”

The upcoming cold winter months do not have to mean staying indoors and keeping warm. After the success of last year's air shows across KwaZulu-Natal (KZN), the Winter Air Tour is back this June and July, and it looks set to put on a bigger show than ever before. Like last year, the KZN Winter Air Tour is bringing back an air show to each of the airports in Newcastle, Ulundi, Richards Bay, Pietermaritzburg, Margate and Durban. But this year there is a new addition to the already exciting line-up: Mkuze will have the chance to show off its impressive facilities by hosting its very first aviation event this year. The KZN Winter Air Tour is a highlight on the east coast calendar, with the shows at Durban, Newcastle and Ulundi drawing thousands of attendees each year. The shows are sure to leave aviation fanatics as well as excited spectators in awe of the latest in aviation technology, while also enjoying a full exhibition show which includes food and entertainment, at the various events. The Winter Air Tour also offers plenty of opportunity for youngsters to engage in fun activities and learn about aviation
and what it takes to become part of the industry. With the programme to be announced in the coming weeks for each air show, the main aim of Tour is to bring aviation to the people and attract more visitors to the various airports across KwaZuluNatal. “The KZN Winter Air Tour does not only bring fun and smiles to the visitors but the airshows also have an economic overflow that benefits the surrounding areas,” explained MEC Ina Cronje. The Tour will also give an economical boost to the local entrepreneurs on the day of the shows, where the community will be able to promote their businesses and sell their products. “Regional airports can be valuable assets in tourism development, especially when combined with neighbouring businesses,” said Cronje. Newcastle will mark the start of this year's Winter Air Tour on Saturday, 1 June 2013. Mkuze will follow on June 8, Ulundi on June 15, Richards Bay taking place on June 22 and Pietermaritzburg on June 29. During July, Margate will host its air show on July 6 and Durban will close this year's air tour on July 13.

First time court experience for North Coast learners By Xpress Reporter
Aimed at facilitating dialogue and discussion, the Luthuli Museum “On the Move” programme took Stanger High and Groutville High school grade 10 learners out of their classrooms and placed them inside a court room for the first time. Hosted by Luthuli Museum community liaison officer, Zinhle Nyembe, the idea was to build a relationship between the Luthuli Museum and the Stanger Magistrate's court and give learners a first time experience of what it is like to work in the court and to place them in competition against each other. Called a “Moot Court” competition, in which learners pit their skills against each other in a real life court experience, training began on the first Friday in March. The small group of 10 learners was taken to the Stanger Magistrates court and received guidance from Senior Public Prosecutor Nandy Moodley, Prosecutor
Makhanya and Prosecutor Vincent Mtambo. For the competition each learner assumed a different role and learnt the correct procedures as they would do in any real court. Last week, it was competition time when the learners had to demonstrate what they had learnt and went up against each other. A simple case of robbery had been agreed upon as the case under scrutiny. The aim of the competition was to expose learners and educators to positive role models in the legal profession and for the Luthuli Museum to promote dialogue among the participants. Describing her experience, Stanger High School learner Nomfundo Mthiyane said it was scary and it felt like a real situation when she stood up on the witness box for cross examination and re examination. Both schools received a trophy and all the learners received certificates of participation.

SERVICE GUIDE
I am Selina 27 who stays around Stanger. I thank this powerful healers Mama Shamim & Ibra the doctors of wonders because I was desperately one of those last days. After my late husband died in an accident. Later after 4yrs trying to get one by my self I failed, I went to churches for prayers but all didn’t work out for me. Nevertheless it was on Monday morning when I came across MAMA SHAMIMS adverts which I read clearly. I sent an appointment within few days but I was shocked when this doctors touched all my problems without telling them anything they showed me the brother of my late husband in the mirror that was behind the cause of his death. Then they told me all my problems are going to be solved in four days with keeping the promise. I got the man of my choice and now we are financially stable. Mama Shamim & Ibra are the doctors who wiped my tears & changed my life so you need their help. Contact:

Inaugural AGM a success The Stanger Muslim Association (SMA) held its first Annual General Meeting last week at the North Street Mosque Hall. The constitutional event was a resounding success and was well attended. The PRO of the association, Shain Manjoo welcomed the attendees and gave a brief overview of the role and function of the SMA. The chairman, Mr Zaf Khan enthusiastically informed the public about future SMA events and requested their valued support. As required by its constitution and as a Public Benefit Organisation, Financial Statements were presented by Aslam Ballim and unanimously adopted. Special resolutions were conducted by Ridwaan Raheem and new Shurah Council members were elected to serve the Association. This process was ably handled by an independent electoral officer, Shakur Yakub. All delegates, sponsors, donors, officials and volunteers were thanked for their outstanding commitment and service to the SMA and society as a whole. Shain Manjoo (SMA PRO)

I used to move day and night looking for someone who can help me after all things became worse for me. My husband was fed up of me and he even separated from me, my two children had turned into parasites since they had already stopped working by their own, and also my shop was totally down. I was then given Maama Janati but I wasn’t interested since I had tried almost all of the healers in the city, but as things became more and more tight, I choose to make her my last hope and later called for appointment. She consulted from her spirits and told me everything before telling her anything. She later gave me a magic bungle and instructed me to use it according and also said that I must return the magic bungle after my problems are solved after 3 days all my huge problems were solved finally just like that may God reward MAAMA JANATI with best. Please note: Have your last hope in me! I can also solve the following problems: -Troubled Marriage -Lost lover -Unfinished Job can also be done while seated -Win casino same day and also lotto using the magic bungle. Make sure the doctor is a lady. Call MAAMA JANATI for an appointment

Potel in Pretoria: I was playing lotto and casino but without winning any money, that made me get crazy. Then one day, I saw the advert of Mama Madina and I just went to try her. Oh my, when she gave me the powder I went to play and won 4.4 million rands. I went and I gave her a huge prize since I regard her as my life. Try her and you will not regret. Phinkile in Tongaat: My husband’s family was forcing him to send me away and get another woman. I was so stressed because I never wanted to lose my marraige then I tried MAMA MADINA and she gave me small powder that made miracles for me and I am very happy again and my husband loves me so much.
We won the Jackpots in Sibaya Casino using Mama Faiths Mizz Oil: G. Nelly - Richards Bay: We first heard about MAMA FAITH’S Mizz Oil last year but we couldn’t believe it at first until last month when our aunt went to her and her life changed financially after she won a lot of jackpots at Sibaya casino (2m). She paid all debts, bond and house was almost going away by the banks, cars were already repossessed.
She showed me my problems in pot water with mirror I, Mrs K. Govender (Chatsworth) After being referred to Mama Faith, she looked in pot of water and mirror, Immediately told me all my problems and my enemies, after few minutes she prayed to me with strong blessings surprisingly my enemies came back to me for apology Mama gave me a mirror to protect me at home to see bad people who are coming to witch. MAMA FAITH doesn’t use animal sacrifice and herbs (Muthi) . Long live MAMA

Essop Khan...69 years...Rustenburg Being a devoted Muslim had kept me down. We did not believe in traditional healers and muthi, not until I visited my friend who was also a strong Christian and talked about the wonderful magic ring of DR DAUDIE. He had worked for a company for quite a number of years but without being promoted. He consulted DR DAUDIE who gave him a ring and within seven days he was promoted to senior manager. He also gave him love crystal for his wife who became a problem for him for a long time, now she is now loving and respecting him, very much, i.e., He binded her for him alone. When I heard this I thought I could also be helped because I had played lotto and casino for a long time but without winning not even a coin. When I consulted DR DAUDIE, he first washed me to remove bad luck he then gave me a casino magic ring which did wonders for me. For the first time I won money in millions. I say it again “I won money in millions”. I started up a business and it is boosted and doing very well using the same ring. Surprisingly this ring is not used for promotion; gambling and boosting business only but also you get tool deliverance, amongst others in love spell, financial spell, marriage matching, education, family problems, protection spell, divorce and court spell, witchcraft, luck, body pain, sexual problems and removal of black magic. He did this work within seven days time and I think this is why it is called seven days because his work is done within the prescribed days.

Thank You Mama Lulu HAVE YOU TRIED MANY DOCTORS BUT NO HELP? I’m happy because of MAMA LULU. Thank you MAMA so anyone who has a problem, MAMA can help you.
MAMA RWEZA OPENED MY DOORS FOR SUCCESS:
After many years of pain & suffering without getting my provident funds and blue card payments, I went to Mama. She made her prayers and after she gave me muthi to use for three days after using medicine, the company I was working for called me to fill all my papers in order to get all my payments. Just in 2 weeks time my money was sent to my account and I started a business which is being boosted by her muthi. My children & grandchildren who were totally disorganised, are now united as one. She fixed all my financial problems with a magic stick and my wife who used to trouble me a lot, loves me and respects so much than before using the love crystals. Are you in a financial crisis, your property repossessed by banks or do you want to sell or buy a property in a short time? Claiming for insurance policies, pensions to be released in a short time? Loveshan Naicker iLembe’s hope for Proteas colours Loveshan Naicker showed his mettle this weekend and is on course for his Proteas colours whilst brothers Preveshan and Mikailin were disqualified for excessive and dangerous contact at the KZN Karate Championships on Sunday at the Tongaat Sports Centre. Amidst carnage of poor refereeing and bias, Loveshan proved himself and ranked in the medals. He will now represent KZN seniors at the South African National all styles Championships in May. Being the only senior selected from this region, the hopes of KwaDukuza and the iLembe District rests on his shoulders. “I feel that I am in fine condition and in peak form with the extensive training programme we are involved in over the last couple of months. We have been training for more than 2hrs a day, every day. However, attaining Proteas colours is a huge challenge and the dream of every athlete. With the guidance and training of my dad and instructor, sensei Tarzan Naicker, and the support of my brothers, I am truly inspired to achieve my
Warriors celebrate after their win against Ashrafiya
In a thrilling nail biting encounter at Gledhow, Warriors won the toss and elected to bat first against Ashrafiya B. Warriors posted a defendable target of 62 with Asif Mohamed top scoring with a solid 24 including 2 sixes. M. Hajari claimed 3/17 off 3 overs. When Ashrafiya were sent in to bat, Warriors 'wonder boy' Rishen Mathapershad struck in the second over taking out 4 batsmen with zero runs using his 'back-hand slow ball' attack leaving the Ashrafiya outfit stunned. Ashrafiya B managed to thwart off further attacks and fought back bravely ending their innings on 50/10 in the 20th over. M. Hansa top scored with 11. Rishen ended with 4/9 off 4 overs, Martin Naicker 2/5 off 3 and Aabi Mohammed 1/6 off 4 overs. Warriors had more reason to celebrate early as they were crowned 50 overs League winners when Manor defeated Morningside by 5 wickets in a one sided affair. Morningside's big guns ran out of ammo. A. Youth volleyball tournament a huge success THE inaugural inter-church youth volleyball tournament hosted by the KwaDukuza Christian Youth Forum on Friday at the KwaDukuza volleyball courts was a huge success. Chairman of the KwaDukuza Christian Youth Forum, Pastor Jonathan Ramiah was greatly indebted to the youth leaders and the youth for responding in such huge numbers. He said: " The inter youth volleyball tournament will definitely become an annual event on the calendar." Shakaskraal Community Church youth, hosting no less than three KwaZulu Natal volleyball caps, were favourites to win the
tournament, but they were in for a rude awakening after slumping to a first round defeat at the hands of Bethel Community Church. South African volleyball cap, Kyle Puckree virtually single handedly sent the tournament favourites crashing out of the competition. Bethel had to dig deep into their reserves to overcome a resilient Glad Tidings youth (buoyed by a vociferous support base) in a hard fought semi-final clash. Stanger Baptist youth trounced the Hosanna youth in straight sets (2-0) to secure a semi-final berth against Trinity Methodist youth. Despite the concerted efforts of Byron Athymoolam, Stanger Baptist
booked their place in the final against Bethel. The Stanger Baptist/ Bethel final was dubbed a David and Goliath clash with Damien “Shrek" Peters representing Goliath and Kyle Puckree representing David. But unlike the famous bible story where David triumphed over Goliath, on Friday night Goliath was victorious guiding Stanger Baptist youth to honours (9-15; 15-11; 15-12). Kyle was voted man-of-thematch with Gracen Peters voted the best female player. Pastor Jonathan encouraged all youth to come together at the AFM (Central Tabernacle) on Friday, May 2 at 7pm for a combined youth meeting.

Prof Shadow A FRIEND INDEED
He showed me my enemy in the mirror. The time when you are down is when you will know who your true friends are. That adage got a lot more meaning when everybody was telling me only on word, “repossession” My car, house and even office furniture were all on the verge of being repossessed. Not that I was not running my business well but out of the blue, my customers became lesser and lesser. Even the ones who had sealed deals with my company were calling to cancel them. I only got my eyes opened when I was greeted by muti in the morning at my company premises main door when I came to open. That’s when I started asking friends what I could do. One reliable friend recommended Prof. Shadow, today I have no regrets for consulting with him. In only two weeks, I was back in control, miraculously the business started booming. I couldn’t believe when people who were making threatening calls could now listen and willing to give me time to pay up. THANK YOU PROF. SHADOW, EVEN FRIENDS ARE BACK NOW. Reach Prof. Shadow on
