Former bodyguard gunned down

Police in KwaDukuza are investigating a case of murder after a local taxi driver, who also served briefly as a bodyguard in KwaDukuza Municipality, was shot dead last week.

KwaDukuza SAPS communications officer Constable Myeni said the victim was sitting inside his vehicle in Melville, with a female companion when the attack happened.

The deceased was laid to rest this last weekend in Groutville. The motive for the killing forms part of a police investigation.
