Foetus found in CBD By Xpress Reporter

According to the KwaDukuza SAPS Communications, liaison and public relations officer, Inspector J Khoza, a citizen allegedly found a newly born dead foetus in the CBD on

Saturday, 25 June 2016. “According to the paramedics that arrived at the crime scene on the day in question, the baby was born on the same day,” he said. He added that SAPS reservist

AS Rambhuron arrived at the scene to find that the foetus allegedly wrapped in “pink floral material.” “I appeal to the community to come forward with information that may lead to solve the case of

concealment of birth,” said Khoza. Anyone with information to the whereabouts of the mother can contact KwaDukuza SAPS on 032 551 8021 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111.

Leading municipality in Service delivery Continued from page 1 development and services to areas that were previously marginalised. “The sphere of local government is one of the visible legacies of postapartheid South Africa- hence the need to celebrate its progress and to take stock of the current challenges still haunting the most important sphere of government including corruption, skills shortage in crucial areas, service delivery backlogs, rising population and most recently violent protests and fatal contests for positions,” said liaison official Msawakhe Mayisela. The 16-year celebrations of service delivery are intended to: • Create robust development communication forums with communities and dialogue about the journey travelled by our province to make this important sphere of government live up to its constitutional mandate.

• Reflect on the achievements and challenges of our democratic local government over the past 16 years and • Pay tribute to the pioneering generation of councillors who are the pathfinders of the democratic system of local government in the province. The flame toured all of the province's 61 municipalities within the province and was used as a symbol to showcase the achievements of service delivery in the province. It was launched on Thursday, 12 May 2016 in the town of Harding. All the pageantry culminated in the provincial department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs COGTA KZN under the stewardship of MEC Nomusa Dube-Ncube, hosting the Municipal Excellence Awards ceremony, where the best performing and leading municipality in service delivery will be made known to the public.

Beyond comprehension

Siyabonga Biyela of Shakaville alleges that he parted ways with a friend on their way to their homes when he was accosted by two youths. The two alighted from a vehicle and demanded the whereabouts of his

friend. They beat him up with a hammer and a stick and removed all his clothing and cash and sent him away. He sought assistance from persons nearby and reported the matter to the police. Skhumbuzo Msweli (28) and Sibonelo Zikhali (24) were arrested and charged with

Zama something An unemployed Ashville youth has been charged for breaking into Zama-Zama Supermarket and stealing cigarettes. According to Ethiopian, Abushi Hecheso, he was notified of the breakin at about 03:00am on 26 May. When he arrived, security was on the scene and the culprits were still in the shop. However, they fled with a quantity of cigarettes before capture.

Mfani Khumalo (25) pointed out several buyers of the cigarettes and they confirmed getting a bargain which they took. Khumalo will seek bail this week.

No honour among thieves Patrick Shange of Lindelani alleges he was walking home from work at about 9pm. He was attacked by two youths who fled with his company phone. After chasing them he abandoned the pursuit and instead went to the home of one of his attackers with his brothers and another victim of the two

culprits. They apprehended Xolani Zulu (28) and took him to the local councillor's house. The sister of Zulu saw the commotion and advised the group that she witnessed her brother and his accomplice fighting over the phone at a shop. Zulu was remanded in custody and will apply for bail this week. His accomplice remains at large.

When things go bump Purchasing airtime in Ntshawini can be a harrowing experience. Vincent Khumalo alleges that he and his brother drove

Press to a local store for airtime. He spoke to an acquaintance and when he turned around he bumped into the brother. Despite apologizing, the brother became aggressive and abusive. As Khumalo returned to his vehicle he was struck with a cooldrink bottle on the head. He tried to defend himself and his attacker was joined by another person who assisted in the attack, leaving Khumalo with bite marks, swelling and two missing teeth. Ndumiso Mhlongo (24) and Siphelele Mhlongo (21) are due back at court this week to seek bail.

RICH INDIAN WOMAN TESTIFIES HER SECRET OF SUCCESS!!!!! I am Pillay Salma 38 years old living in Tongaat. It is true that my success is not a gift but a decision I made it. It took me a while to trust anybody since I was destroyed by the previous doctors, sangoma’s and herbalists that used in the past. They disappointed me until today I cannot get hold of them as their phones are not answered. I called a business friend of mine for help and she shared a secret of success which was Mama Hanna changed her life and became rich though the short boys that put 500 000 in her account and every month she pay 100 000 to Mama Hanna. It was a dream until she showed me her bank statement. I also got the same short boys and my life changed I and my family we are financially happy. Thanks to MAMA HANNA. Disappointed with other doctors. Call or Whatsapp :

MAMA ALISHA

THANKS MAMA ALISHA ITS REALLY HAPPENING NOW WITH YOU I am Carl from Ballito and am here to testify to my fellow South Africans about a miracle I encountered when I visited MAMA ALISHA to help me fix my financial situation. I was almost left homeless as I had lost my home and car to fake traditional healers. On my visit she gave different ways of helping me and chose the magic wallet that brings 25000 everyday and paid her 70 000 every week from the money I made from the magic wallet. I told my cousin Petros about it and he too chose the rats that bring money in the house after which he got 40 000 and paid 9000. Mama Alisha. I know it's the same way you can be helped you have to see to believe so visit her or call her 0710223640 MY WIFE TOLD ME TO GO TO HELL WHEN I WAS POOR BUT SHE WANTS ME BACK BECAUSE IM RICH I am Cliff from Umhlanga. I came to know about Mama Alisha from Auntie Merina who lives in Stanger and had previously visited her with a financial problem and it had been fixed. I had lost all my money, cars, business some of which was left to me by my late parents. When things went real bad. My wife told me to go to hell and started having affairs looking out for rich men and when I confronted her about it she told me go to hell, left me alone and went. I suffered for almost 2 years but meeting Mama Alisha rose me up again. She gave me a magic wallet with which I could get money daily inside my house. I opened up a new business worth 2 million rands bought 2 new cars and when my wife heard that I am up again she wants me back, thinking of forgiving her but am not sure. Only that she is the mother of my 3 kids. I can forgive her for only that. If Alisha bought my life back to normal, I know she can help you too.

KwaDukuza Welcomes International Festival of Surfing to Ballito in June The World Surfing League's elite performers will be joined by the cream of the country's men, women and juniors at Ballito on the KwaDukuza coast of KwaZulu-Natal in June for a festival of unsurpassed surfing excellence. For an eighth successive year the region will host the top international and South African men who will be competing in the Ballito Pro presented by Billabong, a WSL Qualifying Series (QS) 10,000 rated event with a prize-pool of R4 million. The women will again demonstrate their skills in the QS1,000, R50 000, Ballito Women's Pro presented by Billabong while the Billabong Junior Series includes events for men and women aged 18 and under at Ballito for the first time. “KwaDukuza Municipality is privileged to continue our private-public partnership for growth by bringing the Ballito Pro, the country's most popular professional surfing event, to our region, province, country and continent,” says the Mayor of KwaDukuza, Cllr Ricardo Mthembu. “During a declining world economy, the Ballito Pro drives tourism growth, creates local business opportunities and much needed job opportunities.” “We thank our partners World Surfing League and Billabong, along with the contribution made by local businesses, our community, staff and emergency services. This year's event coincides with the 40th celebration of June 16 and provides a platform for the youth of the world to showcase their talent and highlight global integration through sport. KwaDukuza is ready to host all our visitors and provide the surfers, from the Junior Series to the world's best professionals, with an unforgettable experience that will encourage you to become brand ambassadors for Ballito and South Africa in general.” Continuing its storied 47 year legacy as the world's longest running professional surfing event, the Ballito Pro will be bigger and better in all aspects in 2016 as it again welcomes the support of global apparel and equipment giant Billabong, which has added its acclaimed and long running junior series to the mix this year. “Billabong is once again really proud to be the presenting sponsor of the 2016 Ballito Pro,” said

This year's expanded 112-man field provides the Designer-a-Hair local WSL Africa registered surfers with invaluable experience competing against the world's best, along with opportunities to earn prize-money and coveted rankings points while competing in their home surf. Points received in the Ballito Women's Pro count towards the annual WSL Africa titles and ensures that the country's top female competitors qualify for preferential seeding into international events. And competitors aged 18-and-under in the Billabong Junior Series will be striving for the prestigious event titles and selection for the WSL Africa squad that is invited to the annual WSL Junior Championships. ALL WELCOME “It's fantastic for South African surfing, KwaDukuza, Ballito and the WSL that we are able to host the continent's highest level QS rated event at this superb venue for the eighth year in a row,” says WSL Africa VPK Building, Stanger Manor Operations Manager, Colin Fitch. “We look forward to seeing 112 of the (Next to Mystique in Arcade) world's best surfers produce another spectacular display of high performance surfing in Ballito. KwaDukuza Volleyball Association was the recipient of a major sponsorship from the KwaDukuza Municipality when they received a whopping R30 000 sponsorship to host the KwaDukuza Mayoral Games that began a fortnight ago. At the handing over ceremony, the Mayor of KwaDukuza said that he was honoured to be associated with the sport of volleyball citing that volleyball has over the years proven that it was well administered and genuinely developmental. He congratulated the President of KDVA, Isaac Abraham for the sterling work he has done, reminding the players that Abraham was constantly behind his back for the municipality to come on board.

Mayor Mthembu has vowed to support volleyball in KwaDukuza as a sport that has not been taken seriously in the past. He encouraged the youth to stay away from the ills of society, saying that sports was the way to go for social development. After the speech by Abraham about the Municipality upping its sponsorship, the Mayor surprised everyone when he announced that the Municipality will inject a further R40 00 towards volleyball to host a tournament during the month of July ro commemorate in remembrance of the great Chief Albert Luthuli, the son of KwaDukuza who fully supported youth and sports. Abraham thanked the Mayor and his council for their vision in promoting sport amongst the youth.

Immediately thereafter, the Mayor experienced first-hand the talent of youth that KwaDukuza has. Randsons showed scant respect for Darnall United hammering them 25-19, 25-15 to book a place in the final whilst Warriors Sport disappointed when they handed over a walk over to favourites Grove End in the other semi-final. The old bitter foes, Randsons and Grove End will battle it out to be crowned the inaugural KwaDukuza Municipality Mayoral Cup champions. Meanwhile, in the plate section, KSST booked their place in the final with a thrilling 3 set win over Sunbrook winning 25-19, 22-25, 15-8. They will face Cool Leaders who beat the youthful Preston 2520, 16-25, 15-7.

made no mistake on the night that counted the most. They whipped Kwafel 23-13 to secure top spot to clinch the league with Kwafel having to settle for the runner up spot. Neelan's Auto Gledhow took a 36 points win as a walkover against Darnall Young Boys but could not make the tally and thus had to settle for the third spot.
