CPU busts ‘busted’ Mayor welcomes arrests A I dealer By Xpress Reporter

Councillor Ricardo Mthembu has welcomed multiple arrests made by the KwaDukuza Municipal Crime Prevention Unit. The unit embarked on a joint crime operation that was conducted in conjunction with the KwaDukuza SAPS Cluster, KwaDukuza Correctional Services and the Department of Home Affairs in the KwaDukuza Central Business District (CBD). On Friday night, the unit made a swift reaction following a tip-off which led to the arrest of another suspect. A New-Guelderland man was busted. He was found in possession of more than 5Kg of compressed dagga. The street value of the drugs are estimated to be over R30 000. Mthembu has welcomed the breakthrough and has warned drug pushers that they will be arrested and

In a special “stop-andsearch” operation government departments joined forces in the CBD and other areas resulting in arrests on Friday, 8 November 2013. The operation which involved officers and officials from the KwaDukuza Municipal Crime Prevention Unit (KDM CPU), the KwaDukuza Cluster, Correctional Services and Home Affairs saw multiple arrests made. The KDM CPU made a key

arrest of an alleged drug peddler, Freedom Sithole, who was arrested by the KwaDukuza Cluster in a sting operation recently. Sithole was caught in possession of 350 straws of whoonga (at approximately R25 each means a total street value of R8750) this time as well while on bail. The KDM CPU also apprehended Gloria Majola for being in possession of 156 'unclassified' DVDs and arrested Boniso Senzo Ndlovu for 445 grams of “compressed” marijuana (dagga).

WATER INTERRUPTIONS: 14 NOVEMBER 2013

Prepaid water system for Stanger Manor

Please be informed that there will be water interruptions from approximately 10am to 8pm on Thursday, 14 November 2013 due to repairs of the Warrenton Rising Main Line. The following areas will be affected: Warrenton, Indian Village, Sunny Park, Lindelani, Stanger Heights, Mbozambo, New Guelderland, Ocean View and Highridge. For any further enquiries, please contact the iLembe Call Centre on 032 437 9379. We do apologise for any inconvenience caused herein. Your patience and cooperation will be appreciated.

At a recent meeting held at the Stanger Town Hall, the iLembe Mayor pronounced that Stanger Manor and its surrounding wards will soon be on the prepaid water system. With this system it would be an added advantage to council. No more water bills, debtors and collection fees. It would also boost the cash flow of council. Now you will pay upfront. If implemented correctly with no disruption it would be a good system where you manage the usage of water. Conservation of water is critical. However there are a number of challenges to the system which I raised at the meeting based on research and investigation and lessons learnt from other municipalities that have already implemented 120 King Shaka Street the system. Prepaid systems are normally promoted in poor areas to secure payments. Poor families will be forced to use unsafe water source once they lose their ability to pay. Invalid surety An unemployed Chris Hani resident has been charged for being in possession of an unlicenced firearm. Local police officers acting on a tipoff approached the house identified to them. The police had gone to the house to trace suspects in a housebreaking case. As no-one else apart from the owner was present, police took the liberty of searching the premises and found a 7.65m pistol without a magazine and the serial number had been filed off. The culprit alleged the weapon was left with him by a friend as surety for a R100 loan.

Zola Gibbs Mavela (32) was charged and bail was not opposed. He is due back at court on 22 January 2014. Long arm of the law Several months after his house had been broken into, Bongani Mthiyane gave up hope of finding his television and digital camera. Mthiyane alleges that on 16 December 2012 he returned home and noticed his premises had been broken into. He was clueless as to who the culprit was. Last week police received a report regarding the incident and approached a Mozambican

youth whom they had questioned about the incident. The stolen television was found at his premises and police placed Tom Khumalo (30) under arrest. He is due back at court this week to seek bail. The buck stops here A chronic shoplifter will soon learn the harsh realities of continuously stealing in stores. Theleli Gumede (22) of Doringkop was arrested at Edgars store last week after she packed two pairs of denim shorts, two denim trousers, 3 dresses and a gymslip around her body which triggered the sensors. Police conducted a computer check on the culprit and found a history of similar cases committed between

Double trouble A fearful woman has come out and reported her abuse after her two-and-a-half-year-old child spoke to her brother. Vanessa Seerangan of Top Shop in Glenhills alleges that on 19 October her husband and his father were arguing and fighting. She grabbed her baby and left. However, her husband allegedly poured a pot of boiling water over her back. The following day she sought medical attention due to the severity of her injuries. Afraid of her husband she began telling neighbours and family that she fell and accidentally burnt herself. However, on Diwali Eve her husband attacked his father once again and struck him several times to his head with a cane-knife. Va n e s s a ' s b r o t h e r w a s contacted and this time the child told her uncle about the incident and how her mother was injured. Ronald Naidoo (35) was granted bail and is expected back in court on 13 January 2014. Disgrace to the uniform A security official at Jet Mart has brought his security company into disrepute and will probably never be employed in the industry again. Siyabonga Mandla alleges that he arrested two females as they departed the store. They explained to him that they had colluded with a security official whom they paid R280 in return for several items of clothing valued at R717. The manageress was alerted and they confronted the guard who played open cards with them. Nqobile Makhoba (18) and Siphiwe Zondo (18) of Nonhlevu High School as well as Sithembiso Dube (34) are all expected back in court on 4 December.

Du Toit is at it again The RA Moodley homes could be run much better if hecklers like Frank du Toit stayed out of it. Pensioners are not too badly off here. Sit on one of our benches and see how many posh cars drive in here within an hour. During the apartheid era our people only received part of the pensions whites got. Today they are much better off. Du Toit mentions in his letter, the supervisor collects

R5.00 levy. Get your facts right Du Toit. We don't have a supervisor here. The R5.00 collected each month is paid in voluntary; no-one is forced to pay. We have tea and cake on mother's day which is taken off from our funds. We also pay R50.00 or buy a wreath if someone passes on. Our pensioners pay R120.00 per month rental & smaller homes pay

R100.00. I have offered Du Toit a tour of the RA Moodley homes, he prefers to listen to female pensioners and do a lot of nitpicking. Although not mentioned, politics is the root cause of the nitpicking because ward 19 is under the ANC. Eileen Powell Chairperson RA Moodley Homes

Business owners of KwaDukuza will soon have a retailer's association to unify and represent retail businesses in the town. The initiative is being led by several business houses including chain stores and independent retailers. The recent rise of violent business robberies has prompted an urgent call for all retailers to unify into a strong, cohesive body to combat crime and to address various other issues affecting retailers such as business recession, loss of turnover, CBD degradation, parking, and the Chief Albert Luthuli Street issue. Shain Manjoo, a local businessman said: “This initiative is long overdue. Retailers are at the forefront of economic growth, bringing goods and services to the market and thereby creating vast employment opportunities. “We need to operate and grow our businesses in a safe, clean and consumer-friendly environment without becoming subject to petty and violent crime. The retailer's association will be a powerful body representing the interests of all retailers and will constructively engage with the local municipality and the police.” The retailer's association will be made up of representatives from both formal and informal

We bought a house in this town Umlazi but never lived a peaceful life as a family because the house was possessed by bad SPELLS AND DEMONS which used to cry from inside & outside, by the time we went in that house. I had two kids and a girl who were normal kids with no problem. But ever since we entered the house we never considered again, in hospital they were telling me that I do not have any problem. All business declined without any profits, others completely closed down!! Until when we consulted the gifted healer MAMA SHAMIRAH who captured the bad SPELLS & DEMONS and gave us protection to put in the yard. TIME TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE WIITH GREAT BABA DUBE I wish I knew great Baba Dube a long time ago. I would have not wasted a lot of money by visiting lots of herbalists and doctors including Sangoma’s to sort my financial problems. I decided to visit him with my wife and my brother in law, after I heard about him through my colleague who he helped bring her husband back after 3 years of seperation and he gave us different ways but I chose the magic wallet that brings me R10 000.00 everyday and I pay him R30 000.00 every week from the R70 000.00 that I get every week (7days) and my wife chose the short boys to put money in her bank account but it was like a miracle to see R200 000.00 in her account that Baba Dube used his short boys to put money in the account and she paid him R50 000.00 while my brother in law chose to win the Lotto and Baba Dube used his powers to see the lucky numbers appearing on the draw and he won the draw and he told him to pay 30% from that money he won, There is no way we Tshabalala family can thank him other than informing the people who got financial problems about him.

Hence, he said, today's democratic dispensation had adopted a Constitution that is clear about the role of amakhosi in governance. In welcoming the Premier's message, MEC Dube-Ncube reassured that amakhosi would be actively involved as municipalities are in the processes of implementing the National Development Plan, which is the developmental roadmap towards the Vision 2030 of eliminating joblessness and poverty towards creating an equal society. “We are pleased that the Premier has emphasized the importance of getting amakhosi to play a key role around these key issues, namely creating lasting peace and stability, fighting poverty and HIV/Aids. His pronouncements reassure us as the line function department that we have province-wide support as we up the gear in getting amakhosi actively involved in governance matters,” said Dube-Ncube.

I am NTOMBIFUTHI MKHIZE a mother of three aged 36 born in Ladysmith but now I live in Soweto and my contact number is 078 0600 796. I have been reading different testimonies in various newspapers for people that Baba Dube helped through their testimonies to be sure because I lost lots of money to different sangomas, doctors and herbalists who promised me to help me through my financial and love problems that I suffered for many years. But everyone I called gave me 100% promise and guarantee that Baba Dube will change my life like the way he did to them. Early in the morning I called him and he gave me different ways but I chose the SHORT BOYS to put R500.000 in my bank account. It happened exactly the way he said it and I paid him R100.000. After that I was very excited and asked him if I can use MAGIC WALLET to get R10,000 everyday and he promised to deliever within 24hrs so that he can show me how it works to get R10.000 everyday and asked me to pay him R30,000 per week from the R70,000 that I get everyweek for only a year . To thank Baba Dube, I introduced him to myy uncle and his wife and they chose to win LOTTO and POWERBALL. Baba Dube gave them their lucky numbers appearing on the 10th spetmeber powerball draw while his wife won the lotto on the 18th September. They both paid him 30% of their winnings. Now they use RATS tobring money into the house everyday and they pay every week. I published this testimony to thank Baba Dube for changing my life and also to inform everybody who got serious financial problems and love problems to contact Baba Dube now before you waste your money to herbalist and doctors who promise to help but fail and leave you in bigger problems than before.

KwaDukuza Cycling Club creates awareness The KwaDukuza Cycling Club strives to create a complete cycling lifestyle environment. “Whether you are young or old, a beginner or a more competitive cyclist, a road or mountain bike enthusiast the aim is simply to keep Stangerites on the saddle and maintain a fun filled atmosphere while doing so,” according to the Clubs spokesperson. Almost everybody must have ridden a bicycle in their childhood. You also might have had cycling competitions with your siblings, cousins and friends to figure out who was the fastest or who had the most stamina. I quite vividly remember my childhood, riding my father's adult Hero cycle, with the sense of content when the

winds caressed my face. Why is biking good for you? Cycling is not only a fun filled activity, but also a great way to work out. Biking for women has real benefits and helps increase your strength and stamina. It also is one form of exercise that even a relatively old man can do too. So here are 10 reasons as to why you should start cycling:

1. Lose Weight: Is biking a good way to lose weight? Yes, this question is the first one that came to my mind too. And the fact is that cycling a minimum of 30 to 45 minutes has immense benefits. Topping all the other reasons is that it is a useful activity that helps you to lose weight and is an excellent cardiovascular exercise;

2. Environmentally friendly: Besides being another form of travel, cycling is environmentally friendly as it does not use any fuel like petrol or diesel but only uses muscle power. You can also contribute to saving the planet by commuting short distances on a bicycle. Biking is good for your knees. 3. Easy on the joints:

Sanaa KO Cup gets underway

KwaDukuza Local Football Association Fixtures

The Sanaa knockout cup for Social league teams and hosted by the Stanger and D i s t r i c t Vo l l e y b a l l Association got underway last night (Tuesday) at the Association courts. However, at the time of going to print, the preliminary results were unavailable. On paper, there will be a titanic battle between Virgo and the unpredictable Cool Leaders in the opening fixture and it can be anyone's guess who will get into the semi final. Darnall Action Sporting should have no problems securing a semi final spot when they lock horns with Manor Old Boys. The second have of the draw, Teachers Style will definitely fancy a semi final berth when they play Preston but the real battle would have been between 2012 reigning Sanaa champs, Sunbrook against Titans. However, Sunbrook have yet to beat Titans this season and if all goes accordingly, the semi final will be contested between Teachers and Titans. Teachers have beaten Titans once this season in the three round league with Titans having secured the league title ahead

of Teachers. However, Nazir Khan's (father of Sanaa) will be hoping to bring the cup back to Teachers who have won it an unprecedented four times. However, volleyball fundis have predicted a Titans/Darnall Action Sporting final with Titans adding the Sanaa Cup to their impressive silverware collection. Losers in the quarter finals will battle it out in the plate section that will be held tonight (Wednesday) starting at 7pm with the main section finals scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday) The plate section losers will win R250 with the runner up pocketing R300 and winners R400. The fourth place winner in the main section will win R500, 3rd place R600, the runner up R1000 and the winner, a whopping R1500. Meanwhile, the rain washed out finals of the Stanger Sanchez Spur knock out cup will be played tomorrow (Thursday) at 7pm. The final is being contested between rivals, Randsons and KSST. The presentation will take place at the Sanchez Spur after the final.

Improves sex life: No denying this fact that regular exercise in any form helps in improving sex life. Also, a cyclist who cycles 3 4 days a week has less risk of being impotent. In women, cycling can delay the onset of menopause. 10. Increases Brain Power: Increased blood flow to brain helps in boosting mental capacity. Cycling is a non weight bearing exercise and easy on the knees and ankles as compared to running. It is an excellent cross training workout for runners. 4. Sight-seeing: In today's hectic lifestyle we have forgotten to take a moment and look around at the nature. Cycling is a great activity to explore new places in the town and be one with nature. 5. Sleep deeply: Cycling in the sun, be it early morning or afternoon or evening sun induces quality deep and restful sleep at night. Insomniacs can greatly benefit from this activity. 6.
