Anti-Bullying Campaign introduced to KwaDukuza Schools KwaDukuza SAPS Social Crime Prevention introduces an AntiBullying Campaign to KwaDukuza schools. The Anti-Bullying Campaign is to inform learners and teachers from the local schools about bullying and the different types of bullying, it also informs learners on how to combat bullying at school, and how to report a case of bullying to their local Police Station.

Learners were also given an AntiBullying Hand Guide to keep with them, the Hand Guide contains useful information for learners to refer to when facing a bullying crisis, and also contains the local KwaDukuza SAPS contact number should learners require assistance from the SAPS. The KwaDukuza Social Crime Prevention recently visited Melville Primary School to speak to the grade 6 and 7 learners in the school about bullying. Learners engaged with members of the KwaDukuza SAPS

about bullying and how they were going to work in a partnership with members of the SAPS to put a stop to bullying in schools.

The KwaDukuza Social Crime Prevention will continue the AntiBullying Campaign in the New Year, to provide new learners as well as the older learners with an opportunity to learn about bullying and how to join the fight against bullying in KwaDukuza.

KwaDukuza SAPS Station Commander, Brigadier SF Mhlongo commended the KwaDukuza Social Crime Prevention for introducing the Anti-Bullying Campaign. “Bullying is a serious offense and has been occurring frequently in local schools in KwaDukuza, the KwaDukuza SAPS will be conducting regular visits at schools to ensure that learners are safe and the number of bullying incidents are drastically reduced,” she said.

The test series between India and Australia is taking centre stage on the cricketing front. In the second test, at the new venue in Perth which replaces the old WACA ground, the drop-in pitch is playing a decisive role in determining the outcome of the match.
