The ANCYL in the Greater KwaDukuza Region has condemned “developers who pretend to care about the downtrodden people yet make no meaningful contribution whatsoever in the community.” This was said in a statement issued by the ANCYL on Monday, 18 September 2017. The Youth League lamented “greedy bosses” who are “dismally failing to uplift communities where they conduct their businesses yet when it comes to the issue of profit maximization they excel.” “As the ANCYL in the Greater KwaDukuza Region we believe that as some, if not all, of the developers who operate within ILembe District are deliberately cherry-picking when it comes to affording people the chance to participate in mainstream economy. The Youth League has been at the forefront of condemning a myriad of unbecoming practices by the greedy bosses who live by the “get-rich-now” mantra thus utterly fail on the expectation of ploughing back to communities, especially the youth. It is in this context that as the ANCYL we are fundamentally in support of

any program that is aimed at bettering the lives of the historically-disadvantaged young people; hence our stance in relation to Amadela Ngokubona Business Forum; a grouping which has become synonymous with advocating for the localization of economic opportunities even employing aggressive methods. However the extent of the reported escapades - a fact which should in no way be divorced from the realities faced by aspirant black entrepreneurs - we remain resolute that their cause is justifiable.” The ANCYL said that although some members of the group happen to be members of the ANCYL; Amadela Ngokubona is not an “ANCYL crusade”. “We also feel that those who dismiss this business forum as a grouping of lumens fail to appreciate the misery which aspirant black entrepreneurs face on a daily basis hence some members of this business forum even resort to the intimidation in a bid to drive their point. This vindicates the call made by the Youth League that all developers who operate within this region should provide us with their plans on how they intend making

provision for the youth in business in particular and young people in general. “The ANCYL in the Greater KwaDukuza Region is calling upon all branches of the Youth League in the region to join programs to demand beneficiation to all development and projects that are not benefitting young people of the region. As the YL of Greater KwaDukuza Region we see no need of having developments crop up leftright-and-centre whilst our people continue to starve. Our patience is running out; now is the time to ensure that greedy bosses feel the ire of the downtrodden. Young people of Greater KwaDukuza must stand up and fight for what

belongs to them, drawing strength from the wisdom of Che Guavaro who taught us that liberators do not exist but people are their own liberators. Two decades into democracy developments taking place within this region continue to be systematically skewed thus perpetuate colonial-apartheid era developmental patterns at the behest of the propertied classes who are hell-bent to maintain their class dominance. Hence, like any people-biased movement we reiterate the central question: on whose behalf is this development if it is not benefitting the local people? No surrender, no retreat. Young people must stand up and vehemently fight.”

No bail for alleged killers The two suspects, dressed in white and red scotch shirts respectively, appeared to a

gallery full of Dillon's family and close relatives. Presiding Magistrate, Shobha Maharaj

postponed the case for 21 September where the alleged perpetrators will seek bail. Community member and one of the organisers of t h e demonstratio ns that took place outside the court, Mr. Nine Pillay urged parents to always be vigilant of t h e i r children's whereabouts. “We as

im

parents are very disturbed about what happened. Parents must be vigilant of their children's whereabouts at all times,” said Pillay. Investigating officer, Vivi Kistiah assured the family and community members that the investigations will be done in a free and fair manner and cited that there is enough evidence to put the perpetrators behind bars. The names of the three suspects are the talk of the town on various social media platforms where the #JusticeForDillon campaign continues to gain momentum. On Saturday, 16 September 2017 KwaDukuza residents convened at Dillon's alleged assault site to pay homage to the deceased youth.

Prestigious award for Mandeni Municipality Mandeni Municipality has won a Govan Mbeki award for the second time in a row under KZN Best Rural Project at Greyville Conference Centre on Thursday, 14 September 2017. According to Mandeni Mayor, Cllr Sphesihle Zulu, Mandeni became the first runners-up out of three nominations. The award comes as a result of the Macambini Housing Project extension 2, where about 500 out of 2000 houses have been completed. “This comes as a result of enhancing Municipal programmes to speed up service delivery,” he said. Mandeni were second

runners-up in the same awards in 2016 under the Best Rural Housing Project, where about 1000 houses were constructed under iSikhonyane Housing Project. Mandeni Acting Municipal Manager, Mr Sizwe Khuzwayo said this is a great achievement by the municipality as it improves people's living standards. “We think people will be proud of these houses as they have ceiling boards, they are considered as very helpful to the residents of Macambini because they also consist of water harvest tanks (Jojo tanks),” he said.

ESTEEMED: Mandeni Mayor, Cllr Sphesihle Zulu (third from left) receiving the Govan Mbeki award from the Provincial Minister of Housing, Hon Ravi Pillay (left)

He added that these houses have been confirmed and

approved as high quality standard as expected by

National Home Builders Regulating Council

(NHBRC) and Department of Human Settlement.

Communities to benefit from borehole project Islamic Relief South Africa has undertaken to drill 18 boreholes in affected settlements regionally over the next six months in an endeavour to deliver clean drinking water to these communities and their families as well as improve sanitation, thereby reducing the threat of disease outbreaks. A good supply of clean water will also allow these rural communities to continue with their subsistence livelihood projects, giving hope. Coordinator, Iqbal Khan said that just over R1 million was raised for the “Water For Life” project. “We are hopeful that we will reach our target of 18 boreholes throughout KZN by October 15. By this time we would have raised over R1.5million,” he said. In South Africa an estimated 40% (20 million) of its population of 51 million people live in rural settlements. Of this, 7 4 % a r e reliant on ground water ( w e l l s , p u m p s ) . Currently 19% of the rural population lacks access to reliable water sources and some 33% do not have basic sanitation WATER FOR LIFE: The first of the 18 boreholes being erected in the Glendale area

As a result of the articles which appeared in last week's local newspapers as well as the recent publicity involving the Concerned Citizens Group (CCG), it has become necessary to clearly and concisely reiterate the CCG's position regarding the legal proceedings with KwaDukuza Municipality (KDM) and Double Ring Trading 7 (Pty) Ltd (DRT) in respect of the "Golf Course" development. In May 2013, KDM advertised a tender calling for the "Performance of an Investigation on the Potential Usage of Council-owned Land" without mentioning the Golf Course at all, although the tender specifically required an “investigation” into the Golf Course. A mere six months later, Tender number MN211/2013 was advertised which envisaged a partnership agreement between KDM and a preferred bidder for the construction of a mixed use development and new offices for the Municipality at the cost of the developer. It is our view that KDM misled the public into believing that the development was intended for the Golf Course only and not the Recreation Ground and Country Club sports fields. The successful bidder was DRT, who,

XPress

CCG sets the record straight subsequent to the tender being awarded, allegedly conducted geological surveys which supposedly found parts of the Golf Course unsuitable for development. A meeting between the developer and various sports organisations then ensued with the purpose of acquiring the sports grounds which is further indicative that the sports grounds were not included in the tender scope. Apart from the fact that the CCG contends that the sports organisations in question are mere custodians of the sports grounds and were and are unable to give “permission” to KDM or DRT for the acquisition of the sports grounds by DRT, the inclusion of the sports grounds in the tender in our view is a clear violation of Government tender regulations as there was a significant and material deviation from the tender scope and specifications, necessitating a withdrawal or cancellation of the tender. KDM however proceeded with the tender eventually resulting in the sale of public

land for a reported and grossly undervalued amount of R9 million, which, in our opinion, is an illegal sale. In addition, in terms of Chapter 3 of the Municipal Systems Act, municipalities must adopt a community participation process moreso when capital assets are disposed off. Section 14 (2) of the Municipal Finance Management Act states that a municipality may dispose of a capital asset only when it has decided on reasonable grounds that the asset is not needed to provide basic services and it has considered the fair market value of the asset and the economic and community value to be received in exchange for the asset. KDM is clearly in violation of these statutes. It must be stated upfront that the CCG is not opposed to the construction of a mall, to investment in our town and to the creation of jobs. Such opposition would be contrary to its purpose and mandate. The CCG is opposed to:- the flawed municipal processes and tender procedures which led to the existing sporting facilities, arduously acquired during the Stanger CBD, Apartheid era, being used instead of 110 Hulett Str JESUS the "derelict" golf course on which A 032 551 1690 V the development was always E Shisa Nyama intended; S Opening soon - the unlawful and grossly underTAKE AWAY & RESTAURANT valued sale of the land when this did Specials valid only at the new store Many more instore specials not form part of the initial tender or Large Chicken Chicken Check out our veg menu instore agreement with the developer; KILLER DEAL 1/4Bunny Briyani + Salad 4 x Hot Pot Burgers Large - the manner in which the existing 1/4 Chicken, Chips Veg and Roll sporting facilities are being relocated Briyani and developed, supposedly without + Salad the necessary land transfers having 00 been effected, financial 00 arrangements being honoured and 50 00 00 1/4 Beans without the approved provision of Bunny Peri peri or bbq + salad Full Chicken, Jumbo Full Chicken & 6 Rolls alternate and new sporting facilities. It should also be clearly indicated that the High Court application by the CCG in February of this year was a measure of last resort. This action was only pursued subsequent to the CCG making numerous attempts to constructively engage with the Municipality and the developer and being denied lawful access to public documents that were requested. In fact, at these meetings it was indicated to the CCG that the Municipality had reconsidered the financial viability of its proposed civic offices and would not be proceeding with its development. Furthermore, it should be noted that the CCG is not being frivolous or vexatious and holds no personal gripe with Mr Vivian Reddy. The CCG has never made any vile or disparaging comments towards Mr Reddy. It is however unfortunate that Mr Reddy has chosen to pursue and sue the CCG for perceived delays in the project and defamation of character. The CCG's urgent application to halt the development was unsuccessful due mainly to the High Court's rules regarding urgency. Legal representatives for both KDM and DRT were clearly informed in court that they would be proceeding with the development at their own risk pending a judicial review. This is where the matter now lies with the hearing set down for 11 October 2017. With regard to various newspaper articles and comments from DRT, it has constantly been reported that the CCG comprises disgruntled businessmen protecting their own interests. This is a convenient scapegoat for Mr Reddy but could not be further from the truth as it is blatantly evident when one looks at the composition of CCG members. A number of them are not in business but are retired sports persons who are angered by the use of the sports grounds for the development. It must be reiterated that these sports facilities were reserved only for Whites during the apartheid era. It is many of these sportspersons who sacrificed their attention and time in arguing against a White run municipality for the multi-racial use of

these facilities which eventually was achieved in the early 1980s. It is extremely disheartening therefore that the ANC-led KwaDukuza Municipality has permitted and sanctioned what we perceive to be the usurpation of the sports grounds through a non-transparent and legally flawed process, thereby forgetting their anti-Apartheid struggles and roots. KDM tenders are usually advertised in local newspapers. However, the tender in question was not advertised in any one of the local newspapers. Opposition parties in KwaDukuza have also remained silent from the time when the tender was being considered and even up until now. It was reported last week that a local businessman is "continuing a lone battle" to halt the development. This is factually untrue as members of the CCG fully support the latest court action. It was also reported that four CCG members claim that they were misled into joining the initial court action. This is an oddity since their names appear on all court papers! If this is true, this situation could, in our view, only have arisen due to the threat made to sue all CCG members which, our legal Counsel has advised is a mere ploy to muscle CCG members out of the court action and is one that will not succeed in our courts. It is also disingenuous for any person to make such a statement but to withhold the names of these allegedly “misled” members. The CCG also does not take issue with Mr Vivian Reddy's announcement to donate to charity any money awarded to him should he win in court. Since Mr Reddy is so concerned with charity, should he not be making the very same donation even if he loses the matter in court? It should thus be evident to all lawabiding and incorruptible citizens of our town that the CCG is vehemently trying to uphold the rule of law and due processes that must be adhered to when considering transactions of such nature. The CCG has spent hundreds of thousands of rand in pursuit of the truth and will continue to do so, in the full knowledge that legal technicalities may well be an obstacle in the CCG's quest for justice and fairness to prevail. Poor VS Rich As a member of the KwaDukuza community and a friend of the murdered Dillon Puckree, I feel we are still being ignored and so are our issues. It takes a huge amount of courage and emotional investment for us to speak out, raise awareness and fight against the escalating violence against our youth in our cities, provinces and country. Gang/youth violence continues to escalate, yet little has been done to address this serious problem. It is time to stop the denial, put aside our apathy and get serious. Our children are our future and they are dying in our streets. Gangs, organized crime and spoilt rich kids will gain more and more power and will terrorize our communities until our lawmakers and judicial system wakes up and gets serious by making the necessary changes! For the last week we have been speaking out against the senseless murder of our beloved Dillon Puckree which has shook the entire KwaDukuza community. We are outraged by this along with many families whose children were also beaten, stabbed or shot to death. Murder is murder no matter what weapon is used! The outcome is always the same, broken hearts, shattered lives, destroyed families and another young life robbed from us. Your hands and legs can be every bit as deadly as a gun or a bomb, and I have seen too much evidence to prove that. I believe society has the right to protect itself against such behaviour. More people die as a result of physical violence. We suggest that maximum sentences ought to be considered in any cases involving murder. We still have NO deterrence for violent criminals who commit these heinous evil inhumane acts. Sentences remain far too short. This allows violent offenders to reoffend as they are FREE. We must focus on changing our justice system, stop the revolving-door policy at the courts and stop the hug-a-thug attitude. Immigrants committing violent crimes in South Africa

need to be deported instead of hiding behind our pitiful laws. Murderers should NOT be granted bail, given day passes and should NOT be allowed parole. Dillon will never get out on bail, day pass or parole...he is gone forever. His family and friends are serving a life-sentence without him. Murder is a very serious crime and it is time our system reflects this. Otherwise victims of homicide and their families are revictimized over and over again and remain paralyzed with fear. Our government needs to back our police, so when they catch and arrest these weapon wielding violent murderous thugs/gangsters, they are removed from our streets permanently and sentenced according to their heinous crimes. Judges are now saying they give out sentences according to our written laws. So if the judges are not at fault, who is? Who makes our LAWS? Our Dillon's murder was an immature joykilling. This has been kept silent and has never been addressed. It is unacceptable and an outrage! Dillon was swarmed and brutally beaten to death by five spoiled rich kids... he was tortured to death, he suffered horrendously. Dillon also was an innocent and hardworking child. Witnesses stood by and watched, yet they could not intervene. Dillon's killers remain adamant that it was an accident, how do you accidentally beat someone to death? Dillon was the sole supporter of his family after losing his father. Who will now be the man of his family? Who will now take care of his mother and sister? Dillon was stereotyped because of his status in society, he was not a spoiled rich kid. We fear for our young children, will they have a future or will they be next? "WHO WILL HEAR THE SILENT CRIES OF OUR MURDERED CHILDREN?" I believe the time has come to stop making uninformed, uneducated and hasty decisions that are merely band-aids and do not offer any long term solutions. We

need to take a close look at other countries who have taken initiatives and successfully lowered their gang violence/murder rate. We are appealing to every member of every community to please join with us in the fight for justice. Family of justice

The real cause of global warming We human species are the most selfish of God's creation on earth. Maybe it's because of what we were taught, or brainwashed, or our ignorance, but after reading this article, I hope you the public out there see and feel things from a different point. Concerning Global Warming, we were taught that our earth is deteriorating because of Carbon Emission, and this causing temperature to increase to uncomfortable levels. But what if this is only half of the problem. However we are not advised on how or what is the real cause. It is because the so called big boys are hiding the truth or they just don't know. Whatever the reason, we are running out of time and we need to act now. I welcome scientists around the world to experiment on what I have said. From my point of view and experience, the cause of global warming is the decrease of evaporation. What if the problem stares at us every day but we never took notice of it? Without evaporation, the earth will be flooded. So this means normal evaporation, which is reduced, will create what earth is experiencing today and will only worsen with time. Each and every one of us are quietly contributing to this factor. Here are some facts: Firstly take a house we live in, the home we live in reduces evaporation: when it rains, water is supposed to soak the bare land which is now occupied by these buildings. So can you imagine what are the effects cities and towns

have on the earth? Secondly, rain from the roofs at these buildings, roads, bridges are now diverted into rivers causing flash floods to low lying areas (flash floods are not natural). Top of buildings, roofs, roads, bridges, parking lots, etc. get extremely hot on warmer days, reflecting extreme heat into the atmosphere. This is sure to increase the air temperature. Compare rural area temperature to that of our cities. Cities are 4-6C higher not because of carbon emission but because of our buildings, etc.: Lack of moisture in this dry air cannot clean up the carbon emissions (only water and moisture can clean up our air. Makes us think now doesn't it? Boreholes used on farms should be illegal due to extracting underground water which naturally should be underground. This borehole practice will surely dry up spring and natural water resources. How about contamination of fresh water in the cleaning of our meat, fresh produce, etc. Think of all the chemicals used in farming. Notice after a rainy day or night how clear the air is. What if there is a way to have clean air all the time and not worry about drought, shortage of water, etc? If you, the public, agree with this then there's a long battle to save earth. There is a way but will the government listen? This idea can be a threat to government, its beliefs, values and profits. An idea to clean up is possible, but I know for a fact that I'll be tried to be proven wrong. Nevertheless, I am prepared to face them. For now, I'm anonymous. Anonymous

Councillor’s Corner

Pictured: from left: Warrant Officer NK Naidoo (community policing/rural safety sector 4), Mandy Makhanya, S Nzama (KDM Social crime Prevention unit), Cllr Madhun Sobram Sing (ward 17 councillor), Thozama Dube (Community Safety and Liaison)

A crime meeting was held on Sunday at the Stanger Manor Community Hall with stakeholders, neighbourhood watch, security companies, SAPS, Crime Prevention Unit, Community Safety and Liaisons to find strategies to mitigate all categories of crime. Although crime has decreased, robbery still remains a challenge. This success was largely attributed to the formation neighbourhood watch and patrols. The general community concern was the lack of visible policing by the SAPS and the Crime Prevention Unit. Both units agreed it was a challenge with limited resources, personnel and vehicles. However they agreed to work together and step up visibility in the area. Warrant Officer NK Naidoo of Sector 4 rural Safety/Community Policing for ward 17 who also monitors the neighbourhood watch chat group appealed to residents to be vigilant

especially at the house fronts and gates, this is where most of the robberies take place. Knowing your neighbour and who works for them are all important information to have in cases of emergencies. Mr Naidoo also advised residents not to employ people without proper documents, approach the SAPS, certificates are issued free of charge regarding the identity and other details. This is valuable information should something go wrong. Mr Naidoo warned about the negative impact of social media hindering investigations. Through the electronic act beware what you post, say or record information can be easily available and could have dire consequences criminally. A joint operation by the SAPS and Crime prevention Unit will be carried to flush out criminals. Mandy Makhanya of the Social crime prevention unit from KDM emphasised bylaws must be implemented

in terms of trading hours for business and vendors. Makhanya also lamented with limited resources to cover large areas but will do their best to provide support and assist wherever possible. A notice with NO FIREARM, NO ALCOHOL, NO DRUGS etc will be put

up at the Manor bus terminal very soon. This would allow law enforcement to fine and arrest those misbehaving. The Manor bus terminal has become a regular hang-out spot for youngsters especially over the weekend until the early hours of the morning. In the light of the

tragic death of “Dillon” this area will be closely monitored and some tough decisions will be taken. Behave or be behind bars. Sincere, heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family on the loss of a beloved one. Our prayers are with you, may the almighty give you strength and courage to bear this untimely

death through the hand of a few barbaric and insane youngsters. We condemn the murder. Justice must prevail regardless of who is implicated. Let us allow the process of the law to take its course. Cllr. Madhun Sobram Sing Ward 17

A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands now rest, A cheerful smile and a heart of gold. All you wanted to show is your love. Life has many blessings, but the greatest was having a wonderful and compassionate person as you. Gone from our sight, but not our hearts, so sudden was your call that shocked us all.

Happy Heavenly Birthday

Mr Dick Subban

of 42 Silver Oaks Rd, Gledhow North who passed away tragically on 07/09/17

Date of birth: 18 September 1943 Called to rest: 15 July 2016

It’s been a year since you are gone.. God chooses the best they say and certainly got the best that day. You were gone before we realised it and only God knows why. The saddest part of all this, we never said goodbye...Our hearts still ache with sadness, for we loved you very much. You gave us love in the fullest measure and today that is our dearest treasure. The emptiness that you have left cannot be filled. How much we miss you, will never be known. All your life you did your very best for your family, you always put others first before you put yourself. We will always love, cherish and remember you with fondness and gratitude. WE LOVE YOU DAD.

Sadly missed by his wife, children Roshan, Indrani, Logan and Viven, son-in-law, daughter-in-laws, grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN..... Those special memories of you will always bring a smile. If only we could have you back for just a little while... Then we could sit and talk again Just like we used to do. You always meant so very much and always will do too. The fact that you're no longer here will always cause us pain..but you're forever in our hearts Until we meet again.

Date : Thursday 21 September 2017 Venue : Stanger Siva Sungam Hall 23 Berthwell Dr, Stanger High Ridge Time : 19h00 Supper will be served from 17h00 The bereaved family wish to thank all well wishers for their kind messages of condolences, floral tributes & assistance during this difficult time. After 10 Years of divorce ‘‘He came back and knelt down for me’’ Our family had every thing and life was going on very well. My husbands family hated me to suffer with 6 kids & I was directed to Mama Hanna by a friend who she had helped with a promotion at work. She read my Fortune. She told me all my problems without me mentioning them. She cleansed me from bad luck and gave me medicine and she fixed all my financial problems. My husband came back and got remarried again. Try Mama Hanna she does solve many problems.

DR AMAAL

Thanks Mama Alisha... Says Glen from Chatsworth with happiness. I almost left with nothing after I tried a lot of ways to put myself on the right track again. The banks repossessed my trucks and property. I lost everything I possessed due to gambling with no success. I sometimes thought that I should give up in life but one day God opened my way through MAMA ALISHA. As I inform the public my life has changed completely. My family is very proud of me again. Thank you MAMA ALISHA for the best service you gave us. I regard her as God sent.

Darnall eye league honours Darnall United are on track to clinch the Dolphin Plumming sponsored KwaDukuza Darts Association league after defeating arch rivals and high riding Sundowner in a closely contested game last Wednesday. The Quartz Sports Bar and Centre attracted a large crowd as the two giant club met for battle for the summit of the leader board. The team game started with Sundowner drawing first blood winning the first set to go up1-0. Darnall United put up a strong fight and won the second set to level the scores 1-1. In the third set the Sundowner team consisting of Darrel Shanmagum, Neeran Somnath, Terrence Subban and Len Naidoo set the record straight and claimed the third set to lead 21. Darnall's Vinesh Geanballey, Jerry Govender, Devan Gounden and Nine Pillay did not fear

Sundowner and continued to chase the scores. In the doubles (701) Darrel and Neeran beat Geanbally and Govender to extend their lead to 3-1. In the second match Nine Pillay and Devan Gounden put up a five star performance and beat Subban and Naidoo to narrow the score line to 3-2. With four singles matches to go (501), this was a real test for the two teams. Sundowner needed two points to win and Darnall needed three points out of four for victory. This was when men were separated from the boys. .However Shanmagum once again started the first game against Geanballey and proved himself a true captain by deafeating the Darnall captain Vinesh to take his team closer to the poll. However this was short lived as Jerry, Devan and Nine demolished Neeran, Terrence and Len to claim the

victory 5-4 to place Darnall at the Summit of the log. In the other games Neelan's B started their game like a house on fire winning the first three team games to lead 3-0 against Strini Motors. Asogan Luthusumanan and Leon Moonsamy beat Charlie Pillay and Kyle Pillay in the first doubles match to make the scores 3-1. In the second team game Vasa and Yogan beat Agen and Kumarin to take the scores to 4-1. With four singles game to go, Neelan's B proved too strong and won all four points with a 8-1 demolishing. Neelan's "A" team beat Nevil's Auto 5-4 in a closely fought encounter. There were three top scores of 180 (three treble twenty) and one 171. Len Naidoo notched up two 180's while Yogan hit one and Charlie claimed his 171

79 and still going…..

Happy 79th birthday boy

Birthday wishes must be pouring in for the ever fresh Nikeyi Maarbeel who celebrates his 79th birthday today. Fondly known as Jaawan (young), Maarbeel has achieved more runs, be it marathons, ultra-marathons or fun runs than any KwaDukuza person his age. Running in the colours of KwaDukuza Athletic Club, Maarbeel is a familiar face on the roads. At his ripe old age, he boasts an illness free life, free of common ailments such as diabetes and pressure, common amongst people his age. He attributes this to his dedication to running. Asked when he will hang up his running boots, he

replied, “I will keep running”, a true motivation for all, young and old. He continued saying that that he wants to help people improve their help. To achieve this, he has teamed up with Nazreen from Industrial Home Builders and Wholesalers, known to be a fitness fanatic herself. Maarbeel said that Nazreen had approached him and promised to stand by his side. They have introduced a 'park run' which will take place every Saturday and he urges people young and old to join. Maarbeel can be contacted on 083 372 0653 if you require further details.
