findxroadschurch.org/mc each other Missional Communities are about people coming together, eating a meal, learning more about God, each other and serving the community around us. Jump in and give it a try. As people experience living their life on mission, new needs will be discovered and groups will form regularly, so keep updated at xroadschurch.org/mc and The City for the latest group information. Today during service you will have a chance to check out the groups and learn more about them. There are three ways to get in contact with a group:
1. Fill out the form that came with this handout and give us your name and email and circle which groups
you’re interested in learning more about. You’ll then receive an email with a link to the groups City group.
2. Use the “map” and meet the leaders and ask questions about the group. 3. View the groups online and join the group on The City. Once in The City group you will be able to RSVP
to the group’s first meeting, communicate with leaders and ask questions to learn more about the group.
Missional Communities will begin meeting in the next month. You can attend as many as you like and see which is a good fit for you and your family. Groups will use The City to communicate meeting times, coordinate meals and get you in touch with the leaders to ask any questions you have. If you’re interested in leading a group or have questions about missional communities, contact Brent Barger at bbarger@xroadschurch.org.
Missional Communities and The City are a perfect pair.

Sunday mornings can be overwhelming, it’s not an ideal size for getting connected and meeting people. The City is a unique web-based platform that allows you to connect with other people in our church in a secure environment. It is a primary way we encourage and support community, communication, and personal and spiritual development throughout the week. The City keeps missional communities simple. Find available MCs, learn more about them, connect with the leader, RSVP to attend one and let them know your family will bring the dessert! For a complete list of MC groups and how to connect with them on The City, visit xroadschurch.org/mc.

CHURCH DOESN’T JUST HAPPEN ON SUNDAYS... A Missional Community is a group of people who exist, in Christian community, to reach either a particular neighborhood or network of relationships. We believe a community like this is the best environment to experience the kind of life Jesus has made possible for people, a life of both belonging and purpose. - An extended family of 20-40 people, including kids. It is small enough to care, but large enough to dare. - Living intentionally the three dimensions of Jesus’ life: UPward dimension of life with the Father, INward dimension of life with the Body of Christ together, OUTward dimension of fully stepping into a broken world with the love of God.

- Missional Communities have a very clear picture of what God has called them to do. - Lightweight/Low maintenance, it has to be simple and reproducible, led by people with normal 9-5 jobs that aren’t paid to do it.
