Shiyi Xu Industrial Designer
Hi, I am Cici. I will graduate from ISU this May. I love design, inspired by Hayao Miyazaki and developed by Arne Jacobsen. I am passionate about developing concepts for toys, kids furniture, and home appliances. I always carefully consider the function, aesthetics, and usability. Hope you like my portfolio!

The product is light, portable, disposable, and sanitary, just like a BandAid, so it is called glove-aid.

oncept of Glove-aid's package is disposable, portable, sanitary, and onmental friendly, so I choose r as the material. I am thinking aking a cylinder case with rough ce so that it can be easily placed oner in the bag, as well as easily und. There is a vinyl frame inside lamps the glove , which sepreates closed and sanitary space. When ccidentally falling down in outdoor s, parent can immediately take e-aid out, remove the paper lid, ull out the glove.

UI TOUCH
THE Universal interface touch can be worn on any sized wrist, for sighted or blind individuals. Although it is designed to make using ones home easier for visually mpaired people, it also makes the lives of anybody easier as well. Being able to control ones laundry machine, for instance, from their couch is something that people only dream of. Hopefully the UI touch can make their dreams a reality.

StorPlayage 05 A storage furniture that encourages kids from 3-5 to clean up on their own through the reward system.
Ideation
Empty. Counter-balanced end. Toy in. Allow to play.
Prototype
So fun. They won't know it's a chore.
Final Banner Finally, I made a storage furniture that encourages kids from three to five to clean up on their own through the reward system. When the see-through cabinet is empty, the rider is counter-balanced due to its heavy metal end. Once put in the toys, the rider will be balanced and stable, which allows children to play. The research based on kids' developmental stages, started from interviews and surveys in two local daycare centers. After target research, I did market research on both adult's storage and kids' product.

with two see-through small wheels, a big ble handle.
The initial ideation was inspired by both traditional closets and toys. One selected idea is a container that can slide up and down on the wall. The surface is wrapped in and allows small stuffed toys to stick on. The other idea comes from a seesaw. Store toys inside, keep balance, and play. I refined both and chosed the most potential one - seesaw idea. That I made a work-play balanced storage rider.
