APPLICATION FOR PTPTN LOAN 1.0 PIN NUMBER Applicants are required to obtain a PIN NUMBER at a cost of RM 5.00 from BSN (Bank Simpanan Nasional) to apply for the PTPTN Loan using the online system (http://epinjaman.ptptn.gov.my).

The PIN number will only be valid for a period of 6 months. You can choose the following options to purchase the PIN NUMBER. 1.1 Over Counter Automated Teller Machine (ATM) 1.2 Cash Deposit Machine (CDM) *Please mark sure your name, IC number, Date, Time and Pin Number are stated clearly *Please noted that applicants are required to have BSN GIRO / GIRO-i account if wish to purchase PIN NUMBER from ATM and CDM. 2.0 ONLINE APPLICATION Log in http://www.ptptn.gov.my/gateway/ First Time Application Please fill in the IC Number, Pin Number, Date and Time at PENDAFTARAN KALI PERTAMA column.

Existing Application Just log in, then fill in the IC Number and Password at the top right corner.

Before the applicants begin the online application, please study all the terms & conditions carefully on left.

2.2 BUTIRAN PEKERJAAN PEMOHON (APPLICANT WORKING INFORMATION) *Please skip this question if applicant’s answer is “TIDAK” (NO) at the “ADAKAH PEMOHON MASIH BEKERJA?” on the Applicant Information part.

2.3 BUTIRAN IBU BAPA KANDUNG (PARENTS INFORMATION) 2.4 BUTIRAN PENJAGA (GUARDIAN INFORMATION) Full Name, IC Number, KWSP Number, Monthly Income and etc.  Guardian must not be applicant’s parents. Applicant’s other family members and relatives can become guardian.  GAJI KASAR is a monthly income while GAJI BERSIH is a monthly nett income after deducted KWSP, Insurance, Income Tax, Loan and etc.

2.5 BUTIRAN KURSUS (COURSES INFORMATION) University Name, Courses, Duration of Courses and etc. *FULL TIME STUDENT are recommend to fill as below :MOD PENGAJIAN: SEPENUH MASA TAHAP PENGAJIAN: SARJANA MUDA SEPENUH MASA (SARJANA: Postgraduates [Master / PhD] | SARJANA MUDA: Undergraduates [Degree]) *NOMBOR MATRIK is student’s ID that you can get from the University Offer Letter. *Applicants are required to open personal account at the participated bank.

For USM, all PTPTN transactions will be using BANK ISLAM only.

2.6 BUTIRAN KELAYAKAN (ELIGIBLE INFORMATION) Applicants are advised to check the details thoroughly before submission. Please click “PENGESAHAN PERMOHONAN)“ (YA) before the closing date.

Applicants are allowed to update (Kemaskini) online application for unlimited number of times.

Therefore, once the applicants clicked “PENGESAHAN PERMOHONAN” (YA), applicants are not allowed to make any changes on the information anymore.

Each “Dokumen Sokongan� must be print out by using 80 grams A4 size paper and verify by Certified Officer (cop & sah).

Please photocopy 3 sets. 2 sets to be submitted to the PTPTN officer and 1 set (nonverified) for your own copy.

In case the verified documents are not accepted by PTPTN authority. Please photocopy again by using the non-verified documents and let PTPTN officer to stamp and certify for you.

4.0 AFTER ONLINE APPLICATION IS SUCCESSFUL Applicants may check the PTPTN account on whether the application is approved or rejected.

Applicant will be informed if application is approved via email notification.

Please use either blue or black pen only.

No correction by using “liquid paper / tape”. Applicants are advised to print out and fill it in again.

5.0 SUBMIT UP DOCUMENTS University authority will make arrangements for the PTPTN officers to collect the hardcopies of the applications & the required documents from successful applicants.

Announcements on Sesi Serahan dan Penerimaan Dokumen Perjanjian will be made.

Note: 1. During the ‘sesi’, there will be a PTPTN Officer to verify (sah) applicant’s documents.

2. Please be alert and keep updating with the university authority regarding the latest update and news.

After submit up all the documents, please wait for the money to be credited to your bank account.

For applicant that received WPP (Wang Pendahuluan Pembiayaan) before, your account will be deducted RM 500 for the first 3 semester.

Besides, USM Bursary Department will take the PTPTN loan and deducted the school fees from applicant’s account. The rest of the money will be credited to the applicant’s account after all school fees are settled.
