All TRACER 9 models feature a high-spec 7” TFT dashboard and design updates, while the TRACER 9 GT features electronic suspension, an electrically adjustable windscreen, heated grips, smart key system, cruise control and Yamaha’s innovative Matrix LED headlight system – a world first on a motorcycle.
The range-topping TRACER 9 GT+ gains the full suite of new technologies, including Vehicle Hold Control, intelligent braking system and a tyre pressure monitoring system as well as radar adaptive cruise control, and blind spot detection to surpass expectations for this renowned
Sport Tourer. Yamaha’s Automatic Manual Transmission (Y-AMT) is standard equipment on the TRACER 9 GT+ and can be specified with the TRACER 9 GT. The addition of Y-AMT reinforces the TRACER 9’s position as the ultimate multi-role motorcycle, creating a machine even more flexible and adept at taking on whatever role its rider needs and wants to take on. Y-AMT
Yamaha has long been at the forefront of motorcycle innovation. Each step in our technological development seeks to offer a more immersive riding experience which is even more gratifying for the rider. The new Yamaha Automated Manual Transmission (Y-AMT) is set to take that feeling further, marking the start of a new era by offering an advanced gear shifting technology that introduces a new dimension to sports riding. Y-AMT allows you to fully focus on enjoying the sports performance offered by your motorcycle, by delivering consistently linear shifts to create the most engaging riding experience with the choice of a slick, finger operated manual shift (MT) or a two-mode fully automatic transmission (AT).

With a closer and more refined connection to the brain than the feet, the hands are one of the most tactile and
powerful tools the human body has. Shifting by hand alone, as opposed to a foot-and-hand combination, is not only quicker but requires less thinking time, allowing you to hyper-focus on throttle and brake application, lean angle, body position and tyre grip levels to intensify the ride. With Y-AMT, you don’t have to move your left foot from the footpeg, allowing you to instead focus on body position and weight distribution through the pegs in order to enhance the control of your motorcycle, especially in cornering.

In a world first in the motorcycle sector, the adaptive Matrix LED headlight provides illumination like never before. Linked to a camera built into the fairing, the system detects surrounding traffic conditions and automatically controls individual LEDs within the matrix to deliver a shaped beam of light to maintain optimal illumination.
A new era of shifting with Y-AMT

Radar equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control and Blind Spot Detection
Working in conjunction with the Y-AMT and KADS suspension, the radar controlled cruise control reduces fatigue by maintaining the correct speed gear and distance to vehicle in front when active. Radar also facilitates blind spot detection, which flashes a warning in the mirror when vehicle is detected in the rider’s blind spot.
7” TFT dashboard with fully integrated Garmin

The 7” TFT incorporates three themes and comes with Garmin Motorize connectivity to provide integrated navigation, while calls, messages and music can be received through the Yamaha MyRide App and controlled using the five-way joystick on the left hand switch cube. A dedicated integrated storage includes a USB-A outlet for charging on the go.
The KYB’s KADS (KYB Actimatic Damper System) electronic suspension is the most advanced system found on any Yamaha production motorcycle. Governed by the six-axis IMU and ECU, the adjustable units are linked to the YRC mode and dynamically adjust damping to deliver an optimal riding experience in a variety of load and road conditions.
The TRACER 9 GT+’s Unified Brake System incorporates a hydraulic unit to automatically distribute braking force to both wheels, adjusting the brake bias to optimise stopping power and controllability of the machine. In conjunction, the Vehicle Hold Control intuitively applies rear brake pressure when stopped, to allow seamless takeoffs when on an incline or slope.
The TRACER 9 GT+ delivers improved wind protection thanks to a redesigned front fairing and windscreen. The new wind tunnel developed arrangement reduces buffeting to ensure both rider and pillion arrive at their destination fresher than ever, while the electronically controlled windscreen now offers 100mm of stepless adjustment to allow the rider to fine tune the aerodynamics to meet their own specific preferences.
Yamaha’s Smart Key System allows you to fire up the TRACER 9 GT+ without a physical ignition key. The key fob operates while in proximity of the bike and allows the central locking and unlocking of all functions, including the steering lock, fuel cap and the standard hard side cases, which remain secure whenever the smart key is out of range. When fitted, Yamaha’s genuine accessory top box also operates in the same way.

Intelligent braking system with Vehicle Hold Control* (on Y-AMT model)

With Yamaha’s DNA running through it, TRACER 9 is a sportbike when you want, while being equally at home touring with a passenger and luggage. With fully adjustable suspension and switchable riding modes the TRACER 9 brings new levels of adaptability and excitement to the middleweight sector.
Standard specification on the TRACER 9 includes a premium 7” TFT dashboard, cornering LED headlights, a 10-step adjustable windscreen and a saddle with low and high seat settings. With TRACER 9 the emphasis is on creating a motorcycle which adapts to the rider and can do everything exceptionally well, giving an exhilarating ride without compromise.

Emergency stop signal
A new feature is the Emergency Stop Signal function. When sudden braking is detected, all four LED indicators automatically flash at high speed to warn surrounding road users that an emergency stop is in progress, helping alert others of rapid changes to the bike’s speed.
High specification suspension with revised settings
Highly specified 41mm KYB front forks are fully adjustable, as is the KYB rear shock absorber. With enough adjustment to cater for spirited sporting rides and two-up touring, the suspension is as adaptable as you would expect from a class-leading sports tourer. The rear link has also been modified, improving rear traction and load distribution while cornering.
Complete redesign, with added comfort
TRACER 9’s bodywork has been wind tunnel developed and comprehensively tested in the real world. The new bodywork offers more weather protection, with testers reporting less fatigue on longer journeys. Despite its fresh look, it retains traditional TRACER design elements, notably the distinctive ‘arrow head’ look. The result is a longdistance companion with a more premium feel and improved comfort for rider and pillion.
Award-winning CP3 platform
Yamaha’s award-winning combination of the torquey 890cc CP3 engine and Deltabox-style aluminum chassis provide the perfect confidence inspiring sports touring platform. Further refined with bespoke suspension and chassis setup, the package is optimized with lightweight spinforged wheels and Bridgestone T32 tyres to create a light and agile riding experience.

More comfortable ergonomics for rider and pillion
TRACER 9 offers a highly customizable riding experience thanks to Yamaha Ride Control (YRC). This allows the rider to tailor their ride to match conditions and preferences. Three factory settings come preloaded (SPORT, STREET and RAIN) while two custom maps can be programmed through the dashboard menu or using the MyRide app – helping the rider choose their preferred engine power characteristics and electronic interventions.
Increasing night time riding confidence, the 2025 TRACER 9 comes equipped with powerful twin LED headlights with a more powerful and precise beam. These high/low function units combine with standard LED cornering lights, which detect lean angle and illuminate a wider area of the road when banked over at 7° or more.
The 2025 TRACER 9 receives a new, 50mm longer, subframe to increase comfort by providing more space for both the rider and their passenger. This is combined with seat pads which are flatter and more generously padded to give a more sporting feel, which inspires confidence while hanging off the bike through corners. The TRACER 9 is more accessible at standstill too, with the saddle shaped to be slimmer at the standover point, while the revised handlebar position has a dual benefit of creating a more relaxed posture for increased comfort, particularly on longer journeys, while decreasing the turning circle to a very compact 2.9m.
New 7” TFT dashboard has three distinctive themes, from a stripped back layout for sports riding to an information packed touring option. New switchgear and five way joystick provides easy navigation. A USB-C charging port comes as standard, while an integrated storage area was added to the right of the cockpit.

Rear carrier for increased passenger comfort & frame rigidity
The TRACER 7 GT comes as standard with a rear carrier to allow Topcase fitment for full 3-bag travel, giving greater versatility and opportunity for longer trips with larger loads. TRACER 7 is equipped with a high quality 5-inch full colour TFT meter with selectable Touring or Sport display themes. With smartphone connectivity via the MyRide app you get notifications of incoming calls, emails and messages and can also view detailed running data.
