LIBRARY 8 Student group work in SCI_ARC Atlanta, US library design 2019
This library is challanging the traditional way of reading. In the normal way, people come to library to find a book they want. They walk by themselves like shopping in a market. But this project design an looping system of the bookshlef. All the book is carried by a conveyor and this conveyor is constantly moving. This allows people to get a book ‘by accident’. Different from the old way people looking for a book, the books in this library will ‘find’ people. This offers a new way of study. In the past time, people could predict what they will learn next. But this library offers a random chance of the next book people get, which is also an encouragement of the wild-scale study in todays’ condition. The library we want is nothing to do with efficiency, but it offers surprise and randomness in the knowledge obtaining. By using conveyor belt, we hope books in our library to be able to move constantly so it is changed at every moment.

THE SIGN Student group work in SCI_ARC Los Angeles, US
Sign Design 2019
This project is dicussing what is a SIGN. Is it a huge advertisement board hanging ouside of the building? or building itself is a sign? This project is trying to combine these two arguement in one. To make the advertisement board itself as a main structure of a building. To have the minimum impact of the society behind, a huge sign is placed at only one side of the site. Then curve the top to be the roof of the building. To decrease the blocknig effect, the rest of the funtional messing is designed thin and transparent, hanging under the rooftop by cables. In this way, the sign itself not only becomes the main entire structure of the building, but also is positively attractive. One more thing is that this project digs a large whole on the site and puts the nature elements in the underground part. It is a reorganization of the upground and underground, nature and manmade. 10

LAB OF THE SIM-WORLD Student group work in SCI_ARC
Los Angeles, US
Lab of Leonardo Da Vinci 2020
This lab is an extension of the sim-world Leonardo escape room. Mainly focus on the relationship between spacial type and people’s mood. The entrance is at the basement level of the escape room. People will firstly go through an underground tunnel, then their view becomes wild open. The reason is that we believe the tunnel helps people gradually change their mood from the outside world, and also this contrast helps people more aware that they need to do something great now. Then researchers or public people can use elevator or the spiral stairs to enter each labs or the public park on the roof. As for lab space, we use the sphere because this centralised shape makes people feel more private and concentrate. All these bubbles are free organized to allow people in different labs to talk to each other, encouraging more informal talk between researchers. The size of bubble decided by the activities required inside. The big bubble will hold gathering activities and the smallest bubble will become individual working place.

THE ROOM Student individual work in SCI_ARC Los Angeles, US
Graduation Thesis 2020
As technology and architecture developed together, people tended to do same thing as magicians they hide things behind a concealing facade. As a result, all we see are illusions. Infrastructures and mechanisms are hidden, yet these are the most complicated parts of a building that condense the most intelligence within themselves. Instead of hiding, exposing the mechanism and narrative behind is more important nowadays because people always only tend to see those ‘illusions’ but ignore the ‘truth’ behind, which is the key to the next technology development. I use my room as an example, starting from one person’s viewpoint, using the rule of optical illusions, to generate the fictional hidden space inside a room and transform it into a fictional and monumental scale building. The spacial type follows the mechanisms or the narratives people maybe have with each original pieces. 22

Exposed hidden space behind a room
The room behind a room is massive. This project offers my version of definition of such imagined world behind a regular room. Different people at different time will have different imagination of a same room. The world is not as simple as it shows. It is important to see through the illusions and understand the truth.

RURAL REORGANIZATION Student group work in Southeast University
(东南大学) Yizheng, Guizhou, China
Kiln transformation 2017
The site is located in the contryside of an industrial town which do not have much fundamental resourses. There are many villages but no basic resourses within the 3 kilometers around the site, especially educational resource. The Hoffman Kiln is intrduced to China in 1890 and played an important role in chinese rural industial devolopment. However most of the kiln were abandoned by 2017 because of the low efficiency. We reconstructed this kiln for the kids in the village, to make it a place for their daily entertainment , education and the basic needs of villages around.

The typical characteristic of Hoffman Kiln is the annular space inside its volum. So we use it's physical space as the main traffic node to organize the surrounding multifunctional boxs. The design also introduces us a typical way to reuse the kiln which is common in chinese rural area and to reactivate the rural vitality. Making such design a potential way to reconstruct less developed areas in chinese contryside. 6. handicraft 34

AGRITOPIA Student individual work in Southeast University (东南大学) Hong An, Hubei, China
Graduation Design 2018
Thinking about the transformation of a typical village in China, this project aims to discuss the relationship between people and the animal. According to the research, people in Hong An village raises different type of livestocks to earn their living expense. That is why this project wants to enhance the efficiency of livestocks raising in this site. This project suggests to keep the exsiting outer facade of the houses, then add one more floor in above. The lower level is for livestocks raising and the upper level serves for villagers living. Because of the whole ground floor is all saved for livestocks, the limit of the livestocks raising raises. Applying with a more efficient sewer system, the all village works as an entire animal raising factory. The main issue of the Chinses village is the income, people need more opportunities to keep the yong people staying and to improve the living condition. 40

UNDERGROUND KEYUAN
Paticipating work in internship of AECOM Shenzhen, Guangdong, China
Concept Design 2019
This project is a connected undeground commercial space in Shenzhen. By connecting 5 adjacent railway stations, this project gets 13 km long, which is the longest underground commercial space design in China. My work is mainly in the concept design phase. Suggesting to use four different themes for each connecting space but keep one continous element, which is the leaner skylight. The skylight gives the underground space a brighter lighting environment which allows more nature elements to be raised. Moreover, I mainly works for the larger space design which is the key public space in each connection. According to different functional requirement like workout or market, design with different typle of the skylight to have a more interesting walking experience for citizens.
