PICTOGRAPHIC

PICTOGRAPHIC FONT DESIGN

Patterning is regarded as character directly, and these characters look like the shape of patterning, generally speaking, hieroglyphic is the pioneer script. In this project, I created a new font for the Chinese poetry 《送灵澈上 人》. The new font combines the poetry, artistic conception with the characters. The poetry described the poet's farewell his friend in a temple located in the deep of bamboo groves. Therefore, the font design uses the geometric figure by the shape of temple and bamboo leaves.

UZU CAFE REDESIGN Collaborative Design Apr 2017 - May 2017

The aim of this project is redesigning a cafe around campus as a group. We need to redesign the space, identity design of UZU cafe, as well as redesign a new cafe expericence. Through all the research, we found there are many issues. For example, the space layout and corporate identity. However, the hybride cuisine, location and outdoor space can help our design. Therefore, we decided our grand challenge of this project is a sense of belonging.

TIMELESS PAVILION is designed to make people think about the constantly changing nature of life. The planted Gumtree will grow in time, which would change its ‘ANATOMY' during the years.

TIMELESS PAVILION

TIMELESS PAVILION

In this project, our aim is to design a place where people can contemplate, sit and think about life and its stages. It is not a compulsory reflection, though, this place is also a celebration of life and all its stages. People can talk, have fun, children can play, elderly can sit and contemplate.
