Currently, I just finished my final year in Master of Architecture degree in The University of Sydney. I did my Bachelor of Design in Architecture degree in The University of Sydney as well from 2011 to 2013. I am easy going by nature and able to get along with both work colleagues and managers, I am looking for a suitable architect position lately.
I was born in Nanjing, China, where I lived until I started my studies in the architecture in Australia. It was a great opportunity for me to experience the aesthetic, technical, social and professional aspects of architecture

MACLEAY MUSEUM
T he design is to propose a new addition to
existing Macleay museum that reconfigures the circulation, exhibition spaces and recreate a new archive acts as an ‘actant’. Our design started from ideology concept design by considering how to bring public to explore the archive initially was a secured space. We introduced a liner journey to lead visitors to explore the initially secured archive space by identifying the fragments of archive while visiting the permanent exhibition space.
05 \
With the consciousness of archive, visitors follow the journey into the whole archive space. The spatial arrangement reflected the inner progressive relationship between selfconsciousness of archive and the objective archive space. With the surrounding context, by minimizing influence of Parramatta road, we designed two tunnels to the underground foyer to start the journey. We brought the old botanic garden to our design as the destination of the journey.

Ideology Conceptual Model / Cabinet within Cabinet
W e want to show more perspectives of the archive in
an innovative way. To achieve that, we designed two interactive cabinets in both linear and parallel method of exploration. The first cabinet is about the linear exploration experiment, from the ver y first layer to the ver y inner cabinet, one contains another, you can open them one by one in the linear way. You won’t see the final image until you opened ever y drawer that one inside one another. During the process, you can not see the final image directly, but ever y single layer in this cabinet is tr ying to reveal a much richer perspective for the final thing. The secondar y exploration str ucture in our design would be the parallel way we created for the second cabinet, it would be reflected in the connection between archive and per manent, temporar y spaces. And also exists in the different access for different communities.
A N ew Way To Experi en ce A r t / Interactive Space Exploration / From Obser vation To Exploration
• Fo r c e
T he force exists in the linear exploration way has become to our main str ucture of the design. We use the force in our spatial design, the changes of the space have the certain impact on the viewers, and then the viewers have to adjust themselves to the distortion they experienced in.
• Zoom
W e use zoom as the concept to make that point that
ever y point of our existence and our vision of what is real is always a tiny piece of what really is. Getting the knowledge about the collections and archives should be a step-by-step process.

• Botanic Garden According to the historical reasons from the site analysis, the existing backyard of the museum has the rich soil and it is really suitable for growing plants. We took the natural resources, refresh and develop the nature environment with great potentials, highlight it and make the botanic garden as a destination of the whole exhibition journey to release.
• R e t a i n i n g Wa l l Ar undel Street is the original alignment of Par ramatta Road, In the 1880s it was decided to make a cutting next to Ar undel Street, and re-route Par ramatta Road through the cutting. In 1968, as a result of injuries to students, a footbridge was built across the cutting connecting Ar undel Street to Sydney University. The stone retaining wall and steps, iron palisade fence and sandstone kerb along Par ramatta Road. It is an excellent example of a retaining wall and stone course work.

ARCHIVE The Inner Cabinet
The archive is one of featured space in our design; a fascinating treasure house of University’s collections. From bottom level to the top level, the glass of the display window changes from translucent to transparent, and the back opening of the selected display box becomes big ger. Zoom in and out in the spatial ar rangement is mainly reflected in the experience in the per manent exhibition space and archive space. The relationship between per manent exhibition space and archive space is like a progressive str ucture. The per manent exhibition space changed from nar row to open and broad, from the ver y bottom level to the top. The conversation between per manent exhibition space and archive space is also getting more and more. The viewers could see a big ger picture of the archive when they get to the upper level.

The New Addition - Temporary Exhibition Space
The new addition to the Macleay Museum is designed as a sustainable building and it takes the modern minimalist style. The atmosphere in the new addition, which contains the temporar y exhibition, for ms a striking contrast to the existing building, which is quite classical and intricate. The luminous affect is created through a selfsupporting envelope of singled frosted glass panels that for m a deep lighting system, bringing natural light into the galler y space inside in var ying lighting conditions. Lighting within the cavity between floors registers the shadowy concrete galler y spaces on the exterior. The outer hanging glass and inner layers of glass operate as a light cavity, allowing indirect daylight into the interior spaces of the museum while doubling as a lighting system by night.

Project Statement
Project Narrative
The fundamental idea of the design is to develop a new integrated town space that connects the movements of the town and the landscape. The proposal connects the transportation, nature, town infrastructures, new art and culture centre, green sky-walk and new urban plaza as one united whole.
The site is Camellia, which is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Camellia is located 23 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of the City of Parramatta.
The project aims to project a novel mode of urbanism that is framed by a productive ecology and integrates a more systematic proposal for a time based dynamic urbanization process.
23 \
MASTER PLAN
The border of the peninsula is vulnerable to some flooding threat, so I pushed in the water into the urban plaza and the inter-modal station, it also brought in the river view and became more accessible to get ferry from the other transportations.
URBAN ARCHITECTURE RESEARCH STUDIO
Furthermore, the site is a predominantly industrial site and presents little public as well as ecological value. By reconsidering the nature of the site’s utility as well as reframing the urban system in relation to its dynamic urban atmosphere. The major linear green infrastructural spine, which is only served for public transportation will be built to unit the urban social and creative activities, and expend the continuity of the green from the riverside. Besides, the green sky-walk through each major urban destination and the green roof strategies will also be applied in along the major spine.
The urban project is situated in close relationship between landscape and urban design. In other words, the site presents an opportunity for integrating the infrastructure, the creative destinations, and the existing and new green.

Design a new urban grid, extend the street lines from the surrounding neighbourhoods and divide the grids on the peninsula evenly.
Create an infrastructural green spine go through the whole site from the location of the inter-modal of the station, tram and bus stop and the wharf to the eastern.
Divide the blocks depending on the change of density, have different scale of small grids in each basic street.
Build buildings in different scales and heights of each street block and make the change gradually from the central infrastructural spine.

Project Statement
The aim of this project is to create a alternative and creative roof structure and new pathways based on emergence, bridging the disparity between socio economic zones of the metropolis of Sydney Redfern. And it is not only a roof, it is a speculation of unique apertures that could possibly aiming to change people’s perception of an ordinary station. To transform the station into a spectacular volume that awaken senses. Our approach for this semester studio has gone through several disciplines and research areas into research of tensegrity, voronoi and aggregation.
Instead of finding a firm structure, we are looking at the architecture that could be defined by natural behaviour and formation. So for our major investment and exploration for the final project, it is an alternative roof structure made up by millions of aggregated modules. We call it a FLOCK. We’ve been exploring through material logic and constrains, design and evaluation of the flexibility of aggregate module structures, computing aided design to fully understand the system. Throughout the experiment of control variations in specific condition, we observing and investigating the aggregate module instead of defining a finite form. Aggregate architecture suggests a design paradigm of productive forms of de- and re stabilisation.

The idea of the cube wave art complex is based on the Melbourne’s unique climate and urban plan. To emphasize the rainy days and the connection between Flinders Street Station and the Yarra River, I decided to build the waved shape roof to collect the rainwater and also make better use of it. As a result, it will create a poetic atmosphere with the cube wave.

THE CUBE WAVE
Coming from the Melbourne’s unique urban plan and the water collection idea, my project comes with a cube wave pattern. The cube pattern starts from the west end of the heritage building. There is an entrance at the west of the heritage building, and people can go through the building and then go into the cube wave art complex, from the entrance to the café, restaurant area, and then get the gallery, and the theatre. People can also get to the west concourse through the Cube Wave.
Overall, the main points of the design are the water collection system on the cubes and the changing feeling in the wave. Besides, it is interesting to experience the changeable theatre in the art complex.
The extended cubes on the river are a stage for the outdoors performance and also as a platform for people to enjoy the view of the Yarra River.

URBAN ISLAND
Seagull City About
Only when the last burger was flipped, the gas to the grill shut off and the rendered fat scooped away could a project such as this be considered for Cockatoo Island. A cartography of para-fictions and projections across the island are presented in an unashamedly architectural style. This book is a stepping off point to both near-realities and the fantastical. In the setting of a darkened, oft poorly climate controlled computer laboratory, the conditions were ripe for a rich mapping of the ‘unseen’ events and life of the island. A gnome factory? A Seagull Kingdom? An anatomical guts that keeps the island churning, upset by a colony of rats? All of these episodes were bred from strong reactions to the island as a place with a future as exciting as its past is rich. The entire legion of toy soldiers is to be congratulated for their dedication in composing this book. Their passion and skill is clear in what is an exhaustive drawing out of the architectural character of Cockatoo Island. Jimenez Lai, aided fantastically by Joanna Grant, is to be immensely thanked for his fearless guidance and fostering of a culture of ‘misbehaviour’. Without his vision and challenging approach, none of the following would have been possible. More Chapters by the other cartographers can be found from the website: http://cuckootooisland.weebly.com
Chapter 4
A kingdom of seagulls have inhabited in the north eastern cliff of Cockatoo Island since B.C 100. The sovereignty of this kingdom are sacred and inviolable. No homo sapiens can invade their territory, otherwise they would face the stormy attack from seagulls.
