Architectural Design Week Competition 2018 by UNTAR When Jakarta is trying to implement “transit-oriented development” programs to the city, the existing individual transports became an issue to major traffic in the city. Park and ride concept might be the next thing to use as a major transport alternatives.

Bogor Station Parking Space
A parking building located near Bogor Station, Bogor. We chose this site because Bogor Station was known as one of the crowded station in Commuter Line routes. Many illegal street vendors area using spaces near the station causing heavy traffic around the station. Common public transportation in Indonesia usually called “angkot” were also parking at forbidden parking space which made the area more cramped than ever This building purposely build for the concept of “park and ride” where people park their individual transportation near any stations then

they proceed by trains and busses to reach their destination. The design offer much more than that, where it give a decent pedestrian space around the building as a space for street vendors relocation from the street. The parking building act as an urban catalyst to the city itself in a good way. It keeps the area more structured yet retaining the same amount of people activities and even more. It is also integrated with nearby bridges and pedestrians to preserve the main circulation the people use to go to Bogor Station.
The rooftop act as a small playground consisting of a basketball court and also calisthenic park. Providing people with some entertainment especially people after a long day at work could improve their work ability by removing stress and have some fun.

No Boundaries School
“Re-School by Volzero 2018
Described by the 2 different renders during day and afternoon, this school has different roles to different kind of users at a certain time. The school itself was located in North Kalimantan, near the Indonesia-Malaysia country border. Our design provides an innovative way to create education not exclusive only fot the students but also for the society and in this case, the surrounding villages. It gives chances for nearby villagers to increase economic growth in the village by giving booths space for the community to create small local businesses. The design was inspirated from a local news about a kid name Nursaka, which he lives
in Tebedu, Malaysia. He was having a hard time because there are no school nearby and the closest one was in Indonesia. The distance cause incovenience for students around there to travel across the border everytime they needed to go to school. We chose this site because there are many villages nearby that has hard access to schools.

No Boundaries School 1st floor plan
At day, the school serves as a regular school where students was able to study in their appropriate classes. The unique thing is that the blackboard was pivotable, meaning it can be turned. It gives the opportunity to show to public what the kids has been doing and showcase their results. Other than that, it gives a new and fun way to learn where both the teacher and the students can experiments different types of learning method by this movable wall.

After school hours, the movable wall also act as a partition that will be used as booths for local villages and communities can use to create small local businesses. This is called “koperasi” or cooperative, where people could buy and sell items that could help increase the economic growth around the villages. This help the school actively used everyday keeping the area more lively.
The 2nd floor act as a library where public are welcome to come and use it. The walls use a swing partition where it can be opened whether natural lighting are needed and can be close when supposedly rain happen or other needs. The library doesnt have chairs rather a space where the books are stored beneaththe seating to give more space for the library itself.

Parallel Beach
“Satu Ruang” 2017 by UPH
We called the beach “Parallel Beach” to show that normal people and disabled are different but have the same path , meaning they can do exactly what normal people can. The goal was to design a beach that can be enjoyed by both normal and disabled people. The site itself was self-made as instructed by the term of reference and inspired from Los Angeles, Marina Beach. It was located near the city to create new perspective about beaches near cities and also allowed disabled people to reach the beach with more proper accomodation since it was inside a city. Based on a survey in 2016, we found that the most frequent disabled people that was common in Indonesia were blind, deafs, and crippled. These 3 are our main goals where they should be able to enjoy the beach as much as we do. The beach itself will be integrated with nearby facilities that help the disabled to be able to enjoy the beach by themselves.

Parallel Beach
Group Space
Deaf people relies on visual to communicate and move. In that very reason shows that the deck should have a circular base plan that gives more visual than linear rooms. The deck itself is open with minimal walls. Even though the deaf can’t hear the sea, they can feel the breeze and smell the taste of sea better than us do.
“Satu Ruang” 2017 by UPH
Tidal waves
Beaches has always been connected to tidal waves and we wanted to take advantage of it. We create a man-made beach at certain height when the tidal is quite low, the beach appears and gave people more access to the deck. The deck itself will give more space when the tidal is low, allowing more people to use and play near the sea itself. The design also anticipates when high tidal is coming. Left elevation
Right elevation
Product Innovation
We also found some products that may help disabled people to enjoy the beach. The mobi chair (left) was design so that crippled people may be able to move in the beach with the sand terrain thanks to its rubber wheels. It is also equipped with detachable floating armrest in case the user want to go deeper to the water. The mobi mat (right) was made out of recycled polyester (plastic). The friendly-environment mat will be place in the middle so that wheelchair will be able to move through the beach to the deck. Tengi block was also provided for the blind to navigate through.

Music Learning Centre
Final Architectural Project 2019 in UNPAR
The design was placed in Bandung, near Sudirman Street. The concept is “Chaos in Harmony”, where as a music learning centre the building should be seen as a creative and contrast yet sync in harmony with it’s surroundings. The whole purpose of this building is how the design affect not only it students, but also the people surrounding it. Redefining the class systems to a more better audial and also visual to the students, where visual also plays a huge role to learning music too.

Music Learning Centre
Music Expressions
As well as giving more public space to the crowded city of Bandung, the building is expressing music. The center stage are provided for local musicians to play and showcase their songs. The design allowed for sounds to be heard from outside but still hardly visible publicly for others to see from outside.
Final Architectural Project 2019 in UNPAR
Chaos in Harmony
Others than it’s chaotic form, the materials and facade are very contrast from it’s surrounding. I use parametric brick facade, where brick facade is very rarely use in the city facade making it very contrast from others. But the fact that bricks are common materials to be use in the city, keeps the design seems natural to be seen.
Redefining Class Layout
The classes are now seperated from each room creating gaps between them. These gaps created buffer of air causing sound to hardly penetrate the other rooms. This also cause the classes to have more visual connections with others because it doesn’t had to be fully closed with no openings. Visual plays a huge role in learning.
As learn in basic physics, sound travels a lot slower in air rather than solid. That gap between classes cause sound to travel slower and gives better sound insulation. This also gives new experience as classes tends to get boring over time, with this new class layout students get to see other students to practice and be able to increase their confidence.

Bandung Walking District
Urban Design Project 2018 in UNPAR
One of the most critical issues of a city is how humans and transports keeps integrated but yet seperated. But city is built for humans, and therefore should be prioritized over vehicles. We design a 5 acres neighbourhood design in Bandung with Aerobiopolis concept as listed by Bandung itself with human as priority yet giving space for vehicles Ya n l y m a r I n k a ’s P o r t f o l i o - 2 7
Bandung Walking District
Urban Design Project 2018 in UNPAR
The concept itself were based on the people. We design a tram circulation that could speed up the people circulation itself. Elevated pedestrians to increase more capacity of pedestrians traffic. Preserving the existing river nearby, we design a green area that integrated with neighbourhood and they can enjoy the view. Since the area itself was based on Aerobiopolis, which means it’s nearby the airport and integrated with green area, we put transport hub in front to accomodate with the ongoing online based transport like Grab and Gojek, and also integrated with the future-planned LRT that will be put in the same site.

Cafe with cinema as a selling point A franchise called “Kota Cinema Mall” based in Jakarta, asked for a signature design for their new franchise design. They usually design a movie theatre where with this new cafe design, they’re trying to create a cafe with a small cinema at top as the selling point. The design was based on white industrial design.
