Works in digital design studio I presented this work in the meeting of landscape architecture department as an outstanding student work. It is a perspective view of a green street design. The original picture is only a messy “gray street” with only two people in the back and a truck there. In order to redesign it into a green, harmonious scene, I have added abundant elements including all the vegetation, other people models, and cleaned up the street and road. I have inserted my design capacity and enrich the green sites as much and beautiful as possible, such as building a “V” shape scene and using flowers to beautify the handrails of the stairs. The purpose of it is to repair a gray site with a mess pathway into a environmental-friendly “green” as well as “completed” pathway. In details, I learned how to create shadow and repair messy road. Additionally, I learned to uniform shadow direction and people property.
I changed some adjustments of a same picture, including light, saturation, and level, in order to sense different atmospheres of a landscape and present various aesthetic visual feelings to audience. 5

The left work shows a plaza which is designed by sketch up software. Everything in the picture was built by me, based on a real plaza’s pictures in UMD campus. But I have put my own ideas so as to modify the original model into a better scene balanced in between vegetation, architecture, facilities and people’s daily activity, by adding additional environmental-friendly items.

I consider myself born to draw and I have a keen interest in arts since I was four. Here are my seven to twelve years old works including a variety of painting types and I believe they can present my drawing and designing talent to some extent. (More professional works are at home in China, not accessible at this point.)
I think the ability to grasp various senses of color and shadow can be cultivated from very young ages and I think those immature artworks additionally have a hint to show my potential in arts. And overall those qualities will help me build the basis of my concerned landscape architecture design journal. Abstract Copy
