Jam ‘n’ Generosity places two key concepts within its foundation: the utilisation of underused spaces throughout Shields Road and developing the ability of local residents within Shields Road and the local area. This scheme delves into all aspects utilised by Big River Bakery: sourcing, creating and marketing. As a result, the scheme provides an opportunity for the local residents to gain and improve their abilities whilst improving the overall condition of Shields Road.
Produce from “pocket gardens” are used as ingredients for the bakery.

Baked products are sold at a bandstand located in Hadrian’s Square to promote a market culture.
